You’re not just grieving for the person and the fact that they’re not in your life anymore, and that you won’t see them everyday. You’re also grieving the life that you thought you were going to have together that is now gone.

I’m going through a heartbreak right now with a man I loved so very much, a man I could see as my husband and father of my children. It was my first true love. And strange enough… it’s hard, but God has given me such peace about it. Before the breakup God told me that I needed a year to myself - I needed a year to get closer to God and heal and build my life up. He told me to break up with my boyfriend, as we were both wounded and hurting eachother. I didn’t understand though because I was so certain that God confirmed to me that he was my future husband… So now, I have peace knowing that it was either not for me, or after this year of healing, God may bring us back together if it’s His Will. I have so much peace and faith in this which is something I’ve never had with previous breakups

I promise that heart break feeling of loosing someone from a breakup will ease. One day you will wake up and see them with someone else and feel nothing. God will heal your broken heart and prepare you for the person of your dreams

Many year's ago a girl I loved so much suddenly quit and left me so broken. Many year's later I am so grateful to God she left... Her exit was part of God's rebuilding of my life and destiny. Any building renovation requires some material to be pulled down. I surrendered to Christ after she left and began my discipleship; that would not have happened with her in my life considering that we were partnering to sin. Fast fwd and God has blessed me, I am serving him and married with beautiful children.

Yesterday I kid you not I was crying hard I was fighting and I was so upset this has happened before but yesterday for the first time I said God please don't leave me please don't leave me. I looked up and I kept saying God please I need you please don't leave me and all of a sudden I stopped. The tears stood still my heart rate went down and I didn't cry anymore. He told me to lay down and I lay down. He made me stop crying he heard me and that was my sign that he's not gonna leave me.🥺🙏

I also think breakups are so hard because you already form a whole future with that person in your head. And it gets stripped from you. Your world and the idea of looking forward with eagerness is broken.

For the most part a month has 30-31 days. Proverbs has 31 chapters. Read a chapter a day for 31 days. It works. I have been doing this for nearly 2 years. 📖🙏🏽

WOW. I needed this. Currently going through the hardest breakup of my life. The OCD tendencies are SO real during heartbreak. I'm still very much in love with him and I'm constantly considering the "what ifs", but I know I need to put it all in God's hands and trust his plan for me. Grateful for this message and you both.

About breakups- TD Jakes said that we have no business dreaming about a guy, our wedding day with him, his last name - UNTIL we are actually marrying him. I think breakups are hard because of ego but also because it's a death of dreaming about a certain person - that was probably not God-inspired.

God lead me to this podcast I needed to hear this. I’m going through a breakup of 5years & it was just toxic too much cheating from his part, however we both made wrong decisions in the relationship it got to a point where I would ask myself if he’s the man I really wanna marry & spend the rest of my life with. I turned into a nasty ugly person I lost myself. I would always ask god if he’s not for me remove him away from me show me signs, & when I tell you god showed me enough signs to walk away, but I continued to stay in a place where I was unhappy bc I loved him & had so much hopes of us doing things right over & over for 5years. And like they say “god will keep allowing them to hurt you until you understand & walk away. It’s been 5 days no contact & I’m finally at peace where I got a closure in my dream I had last night I lost my emotional attachment to this person I still care for him, but genuinely there isn’t no more love left. Thank you girls for this I’m ready to follow & have faith in god have a closer bond with god🙏🏼😌

God gives us free will, sometimes are own decisions are the cause of our pain , but god will intervene when it’s not meant for us and will get us back on the path he wants for us to make us whole again.

I’m currently going through a breakup, and the hardest part is that I can’t ever see myself with anyone else.

About 3 years ago I went through a really hard breakup, it felt like someone had died it was such an insane feeling. Right when I would open my eyes I remember having horrible anxiety, I lost 20 pounds it was one of the worst things. I can say from experience that the lord restores 100% He saved me completely even if it feels like the pain will never go away you will look back you will maybe even see the other person with someone else and you won’t even be bothered it’s even more insane how much the Lord can restore

My husband left me 3 weeks ago... this couldn't have came at a better time. Thank you for the Godly advice. I've been heartbroken before... but this one felt so different. We actually did get married and said the vows "until death do us part" and I believed him. I'm not sure if I ever want to be with someone again, I don't know if I can trust again. After 5 years of being belittled, told I was never going to be loved and everyone leaves me for a reason.... I just truly want to sit with God. Even that's hard because I wonder if thats also what God thinks of me.... I feel like nobody could ever love me including God.... but I want Him to. Please keep me in your prayers. Again, thanks for the advice and just being so vulnerable and open. It's nice to know I'm not the only person who's felt this unbearable pain. It's nice to know I'm not alone....

The Girl on the left (Sorry Girls, I'm terrible with names and forgot your names), but she gave you the best advice anyone will ever give you, if you live to be a thousand, about getting over a breakup and broken heart. I still remember my first broken heart and my father gave me similar advice. He told me you'll never get over it, not completely, until you cutoff ALL CONTACT and pretend as if she died. Best advice ever.

Hi Ari - I suffer with the same OCD. It's called, rumination. I just discovered this a year ago. It could literally handicap your day. If it weren't for Jesus I don't know where I would be. I still go through it but as I get closer to God, and even though I feel bad for leaving it to him but I leave it in God's will. It hurts a little bit God has our best interest ❤

When you said "when God wants us to me and we don't He will force you to move" (which is very true) but my anxiety started ramping up wondering if I'm doing enough or what I should be and the lord spoke to me and said "you are doing the right thing, my peace is with you because you are doing beautiful work. Just keep raising up this child (we have a 1 month old and I've been reading the Bible with him every time he eats) and bring him up knowing me and in the right way of living" this is just so amazing because this has never happened where my anxiety starts murmuring and He comes to swoop in and reassure me. Praise God!

Thank you for this RU-vid channel. I don’t have a fresh breakup but it did make me think through the last tumultuous relationship and how badly I fell for someone who turned out wasn’t actually Christian (I assumed she was) and how lust and sex was weaponized as a tool to keep me from seeing the red flags, the deception, the cheating, the thousands of lies. I’m so grateful to be free because it allows me to be available for the woman who God does have for me, and I’m in no hurry to rush into something with the wrong woman ever again. One of the sayings in self-defense shooting classes is that when someone is trying to gravely hurt you or your family/children/etc that “You can’t miss fast enough.” Similarly, if we are not content being single and working on ourselves and our path with God, we risk choosing to date the wrong person, and attachment can mess with our heads and hearts to blind us from how bad they are for us. I can’t “cuff” the wrong woman fast enough. So I better focus on getting my life back towards a more Christ-centered path and I’ll run into less heartache and drama. THANK YOU for this channel. I’ve strayed from a good church home and Bible study for many years, and since moving to a new state and with the pandemic has exacerbated meeting other Christian friends. I’ve always felt so rejected when a girl can get SO interested in me then when she finds out that I’m Christian or don’t believe in hookup culture (no regrets all these years from bars and parties and not hooking up on purpose) or I talk about praying and she ghosts and I end up confused why Jesus is a turnoff to these women. The woman God has for me will find my love for Him as a turn-on, and I’ll be so grateful for the life that she and I build together. Thanks, you two. Going through breakups for me were absolutely awful, and I never went to God for it which I know is why I suffered so much. It reminds me of that photo of Jesus holding a big teddy bear behind his back, and asking the little girl to hand over her small teddy & she has no idea he has something bigger for her. - now that I am in the relationship with my partner right now, I understand why no other relationships before this one worked out. Because this guy now is the one I’m meant to marry. 😊

this seems more catered for people who were left behind, not for people who initiated the break up. both go through grief too. break up is hard for both parties and a difficult choice for the one breaking up.

I’m currently going through a breakup and it’s been on and off but I keep telling myself, God is going to allow this person continue to hurt me over and over again, until I let go. It’s been so hard because I love this person sm still but it’s just not going anywhere good. Once I think things are going good, something happens. My friend told me that is god not letting me comfortable where I don’t belong. It’s definitely a process but I’m ready to fully surrender and trust in Gods love now.

I’m 34 and got baptised when I was 17. Was single for God for about 10 years and then met someone that i thought loved me. Turns out they didn’t and when they went to another country to work She forgot about me. It’s been rough to be honest but God has used it to wake me up. I’m 38 days sober from a drug and alcohol addiction, returning from being backslidden and starting to let God in to all the pain and let him heal me. He’s got to break us and put us back together again so yea I can completely relate to what you’re both saying

I went through a break up with a guy from my church recently. What hurt the most it was out of the blue and he did it by messenger. Firstly I reached out to my friends from my church including my pastor's wife, unfollowed and unfriended him, asked God for wisdom through that season. I keep my distance at church. We had a discussion with our pastors about what we need and what we have learnt and I know I have learnt about who I am and what God has instore for me. I almost ignored God because I didn't understand and I didn't know what to say to him. After excuse after excuse my former church opened a later service. Another excellent one sisters in Christ. I been threw that pain it hurt I cried to God. My Ego she going to be with someone else etc. Doing things with them etc. Driving myself crazy But in that I grew so much in the lord I felt him pushing me forward in him. He wanted me to move . What is surprising I came across her after a year on the road driving she pulled up at the stop light we talked caught up she is in another relationship with someone else.But I had grew so much in the lord it did not effect me we are still friends not close friends but she does say hi to me. But that had to be god to have a friend ship with her now but I know my relationship with the lord is number one for me. I am not thinking trying to get back with her at all. I am going forward with the lord. Its been a year and a half since she left me but I grew so much in the lord threw that pain and hurt. I am ok with her now I pray for her wish her the best. I’m going through this right now, and the love and Faith I have for God it’s what’s keeping me from not going insane, it is the struggle of the mind and heart and I love how they say the ego speaks and if we listen to it, it really makes everything 10xs worst. It’s not easy but there is always a reason for what we go through. God sees it all!! It’s good to hear it’s normal to have emotions and have one day be ok and another not and it’s ok to feel the emotions to heal. I’m greatful for this podcast and videos because God is using it to lift me up and understand my process is something others have gone through it as well and not everyone goes out in a revenge mode but reach out to Jesus and surrender it all to him. The pain is real and the body reflects it all. I have a child with this person and I’m still living in the home while going through the break up!! Asking for strength while I’m here and find a place to leave. 🙏💜 😞looking at him everyday and knowing what he did hurts but I choose to see this man with a merciful heart,so I don’t hate him after 10 years, just to find a way to forgive. Forgiveness brings peace!

I was in a relationship for a long time, I put my heart and soul into. I gave so much, it took so much of my energy. last year I went to church, lit up a candle and I said to god “god please show me the right path to take, tell me what I have to do…even if it’s hard I’m willing to do, I just want peace” 2 weeks later I finally had the courage to leave, it shocked everyone around me that I finally did it. I’ve been healing in my silence. It has been hard but the strength that we have is indescribable you just have to go through it with god to really understand.

I am having the hardest time right now with my break up. It’s only been 2 weeks and the anxiety and aching is just wrecking me. It was 4 years of my life and I treated it like marriage, but I ended up getting broken up with. I love this women. I just keep praying for the wisdom and the faith and the strength to get through this cause there really feels like there will be no end to my feelings. It’s so hard for me not to continue thinking about her and what she’s doing with other people. It’s been so hard and I don’t understand.
