I'm a total critic on these synth jams. But this one is quite good! It never sits too long in any particular thing. And seems like an album of tracks. Awesome job. Cheers! (Maybe a little less on the detuning? :D )
That mixer sounds great! Awesome set as always, and you have some especially phat Peak patches this time around Edit: and as always your drum/percussion writing is so on point! love your prog influences
So sick man! Really polished produced sound for a live setup jeeeees, Sirin sounds bloody gorgeous in particular. The six is my lust gear atm, think im gonna have to start saving for that SSL glory! Easiest sub for a while too ;) Cheers
Oooh, an SSL Six. Interesting that you're still using the FMR boxes too. Cool combo of machines you have here. I love my Mercury7 and I have a Polymoon on the way!
Absolutely fantastic Ehsan. Really well composed and mixed throughout. The Sirin sounds awesome through Meris and the SSL Six is just so nice and full sounding. I have a A4MK2, Digitone and Sirin. I am considering a mixer for obvious reasons and am running BigSky as insert on A4 channels 1&2. But I am been thinking of putting the BigSky with my HX Stomp (for guitar) and get the Meris combo from my synth rig. Was thinking of getting the Mackie 1202VLZ4 and run Meris Send/Return but that SSL Six just sound incredible. Are you using the Digitakt to send program changes to Sirin and Meris units?
Nice to see a jam from you again! Couple of questions: 1. Have you considered setting up a Patreon account or other way to subscribe/donate? 2. I don't do Facebook, do you cross-post anywhere else?
Thanks mate - been a while and I've been itching to spend some time with the machines - esp with my fancy new mixer! I don't have a Patreon - I'm not about to rattle the tin for my hobby what gives me a million tons of joy regardless! I do share them on FB, but not much elsewhere, I really ain't much chop in the promotional sense with this stuff. :) Appreciate your support as ever!
If you've not heard of Bandcamp, it's a great place to download music and support artists. It also has an app to stream music from on the go. Ehsan has some awesome albums on there. Think his artist name is EEEEEE eeeeee.bandcamp.com/album/35-winters
Ehsan Gelsi cue fancy video of you fiddling knobs, pumping beats, girl passed out on the sofa in the background etc. Last note decays, the camera zooms in and you say, “...I’m Ehsan Gelsi and this is my Master Class” Step #3. Profit! ;)
Hi Ehsan, out of interest, now you have the SiX, what do you have running through the other compressors. BTW the Sirin, sounds great through the Meris boxes, compliments the Peak really well.
@@EhsanGelsi Is starting at 43: 40. Is the instrumentation and court progression sounds like something from Deadmau5. I like it, it sounds very inspired. Definitely my favorite part of the Is entire performance.
Love it, great music! I'd love to know how everything is controlled via Digitakt, you've got sequences composed in the digitakt for each instrument? I'm looking to get an Analog Rytm but looks like you can control a lot from the Digitakt
Hey! So I'm useless for a comparison, cos I've never used either of those units - sure I've watched plenty of RU-vid vids but I'm always loathe to repeat an opinion based on a RU-vid review! I've always liked the look of the Elysia - and dream of a sweet 500-series rack one day... As it stands, the FMR units go great!
Thanks! I do have an Octatrack lying around here somewhere.... But I needed the SSL in my life! Certainly as a king-of-the-portable-mixers for everything I need it it was an easy choice! The Octatrack is many, many wonderful things, but an SSL is not one of them!
Love it Ehsan! Question....after selecting your next pattern on the Digitakt, I notice you hold the "fill" button right before it starts? is that for a drumroll? Sometimes I hear one but other times I do not
Hey! Thx! That's cos sometimes I programmed a fill and other times I failed to so hey, just mash the button and see what comes out I say, it'll either be something or nothing! 😂
How do you have everything routed? Are the Meris effects on sends? It feels like you are using more channels than what’s actually available. This sounds fantastic btw
Smoke and mirrors my friend! Thanks for tuning in. Nothing is on sends, it's just Siring running straight through the Meris boxes, and everything is only using the 4 x Stereo channels on the SiX - a stereo input for each of the 4 instruments :) So I actually still have 2 spare mono channels! The SiX actually has a whole lot more IO that it appears to at first blush :)
@@cassildaandcarcosa294 Almost! If we ignore the 2 mono channels on SiX and start counting at the first stereo input (remember, there are 4 stereo inputs, 2 on faders, and 2 'return' channel pairs that sum direct to the main mix) - Sirin->Meris->1/2 : Digitakt -> RNLA -> 3/4 : Digitone -> RNC -> 5/6 : Peak -> 7/8 : And that's it! :)
