During Harris' 2020 Democrat presidential primary campaign, no Democrat cared about what she did before that. She tried to leverage her gender and skin color to get delegates, but her shifting policies and grasping for votes was so bad that none of that could help her. If you were horrified by Biden's performance during his presidential debate, you need to be equally worried if Harris will repeat her 2020 Democrat primary debate blunders in her debate against Trump. There is a reason why her handlers have been protecting her from unscripted questions especially from conservative journalists at least as much as they have been protecting Biden. Trump has been actively going into the fire with unscripted interviews with Journalists who obviously have no love for him. Harris' people know it would be an absolutely disaster on par with Biden's presidential debate performance if she was to do the same.

I'm always very hesitant to vote for former prosecutors for ANY political position, and was worried about this issue. It's very, very good to hear that Harris both a) changed her approach after Michael Brown's execution, and b) shows actual discernment as to how to treat low-level, non-violent crime compared to violent and damgerous criminals. It makes me feel quite a bit better, actually. Thanks for the details.

That is a messy approach altogether. A prosecutor has a very narrow role limited by facts and regulation. A prosecutor cannot be reformer of society by her very limited scope of applying law to crimes. Secondly, Trump's comments on any matter do not matter because Trump is a narcissist and immature man. The only take on Kamala Harris is her irrelevance to politics, reformation, and international norms. Harris has to face the foolish intrusion of America in the Middle East, Asia, and East Europe. Could a local court prosecutor rise to the level of international stature on politics and international conflicts? The same could be asked on whether an automobile mechanist could manage a spy satellite? Or a carpenter perform neurosurgery? Kamala is young, charming, and talkative, but as slimy and impotent as demented Joe.

As far as sex trafficking. I voted to lessen the penalty for sex traffickers from felonies to misdemeanors. Now hear me out. The young kids that get sex trafficked, those kids become sex traffickers themselves. They are forced to recruit more kids to get trafficked. So when I voted to lessen the penalty for sex traffickers, it was for those who are victims and were forced to sex traffic new victims. It says so in that law.

A San Francisco drug lab was shut down after a lead technician, who testified on behalf of prosecutors on drug cases, was found to have systematically mishandled the drug samples seized from suspects, even consuming some herself. While the San Francisco Police Department was responsible for running the lab, not Harris’s district attorney office, a court ruled in 2010 that the district attorney’s office violated defendants’ constitutional rights by not disclosing what it knew about the tainted drug evidence. The Wall Street Journal reported that Harris ignored staff recommendations back in 2005 urging her office to establish a defendants rights policy, known as the Brady doctrine, that would have mandated her staff to disclose such information to defendants. Harris has denied being aware of the drug lab issues at the time and also noted that her office implemented a Brady policy after the drug lab scandal came to her attention. Her office dismissed an estimated 1,000 cases as a result. Harris opposed the DNA testing request from murder convict Kevin Cooper (sentenced to the death penalty) when she was the state’s attorney general. She has since said she supports DNA testing and encouraged Governor Newsom to approve Cooper’s request. She did not offer specifics on why she did not approve the testing during her tenure.
