Riku: I think I'm going to miss you, Ansem. Ansem: Your strength has always been stronger than darkness. Riku: Wait, really? Ansem: *cheeky smirk* No. Riku: *smirks* ---- Xemnas: I feel loneliness. ---- Y.Xehanort: Suck my ****! Sora: Rude!
About Ansem's ending: I feel it more like a letter for the players than he thinking anything. "There's more to seek". It feels like they're telling us "don't keep thinking about the first games and this first saga. There will be more, go and see it"
Right? I'm glad others had that same feeling. Ansem staring at the camera and saying, "What? It is time to move on, boy." You cannot tell us that he was not speaking to the playerbase here. All seasons come to end eventually. It definitely feels weird because like Riku, we basically grew up with this and knowing this *is* it. We're not gonna see them anymore.
Bedel Walker yeah same I’ve always tried to look at it as more of a message to the player more than anything especially with Ansem being the first antagonist it’s like they’re saying hey, it’s okay, but it really is time to move on now
1:Young Xehanort: He's the weakest of the 3 and aside from time stop doesn't pose much of a threat, with that being said he essentially plays the support role in the fight and he does it well. Interfering with your ability to concentrate on the other two. So he goes first. Plus his attitude makes me want to take him out first. He's my least favorite of the norts. 2. Ansem: He quickly fills the role of support, but also stays in your face rather than hanging back(except for his explosion attack). Even if he's not directly in your face his mines and orbs of darkness make you have to guard leaving you open to a kick in the teeth from Xemnas. Thankfully, his mines can easily be passed through with the airstep leaving you an opportunity to quickly get a combo in before Xemnas pops up to try and dice you. As long as you watch out for Xemnas' and his teleporting/bullet attacks you're pretty much free to wail on Ansem until he's down. Ansem is the one I like most in terms of personality and I feel like he has the most growth from the 1st game to kh3. 3.Xemnas is always a threat. Like most nobodies he has next to no knockback or stun frame, he basically ignores attacks and charges in to do his combos until he feels like giving you an opening. He mixes long range attacks that leave you stuck in place with up close attacks while you're stuck so that you don't have an opportunity to dodge, and it feels like the harder you try to press any advantage you get the more he's ready to stop playing nice and immediately start wailing on you again. I never feel safe while he's around, but I don't feel safe enough to concentrate on attacking him when the other 2 are bobbing and weaving. Xemnas is probably my most favorite villain to hate. I hate him more than Xehanort. Where Young Xehanort is cocky and sure in himselves, Xemnas has the age and experience to know that he's the one who has to get the job done. Whether that is through manipulating others or getting his own hands dirty he doesn't care. He has a plan and he will achieve it at any cost. All while looking down at you and thinking you're nothing more than a pawn in his eternal chess game. Also his vocabulary is amazingly condescending and he always seems to find a way to poetically call you a useless idiot.
A couple of minor things you didn't touch on: - the dark mines that Ansem and Dark Riku use actually incorporate the dark magic they've used in the past. If you look at their center, you'll see Dark Riku's mines use Dark Firaga, while Ansem's use Dark Thundaga. - Xemnas' rising spinning slash attack may be a reference to a similar move he uses in his DDD fight.
I frickin love this fight, It is so action packed. I never ever imagined having to fight the 3 of them at once. It's such a beautiful fight imo, one of my favorite.
"The Nort Court" . . . makes me think that this boss fight should have been a three on three basket ball match, or an actual court session with Master Xehanort as the Judge, Ansum as the bailiff, Xemnes as the district attorney, and Young Xehanort as the witness!
I defeated them in this order: Xemnas, Ansem then Young Xehanort. Which kind of made what Young Xehanort said sound more like he's cursing Sora rather than warning him.
Oh it never actually registered for me that Ansem's laser cylinder was a callback to the Ansem 1 and 2 fights, that's really cool! I always just called it the deadly watermelon lol. I also love how even since KH1, Xemnas continues to use those giant electric balls. Great analysis!
Ooh boy, I’ve been waiting for this one. There’s a couple of other stuff you missed on the pink aura, which is surprisingly complex: 1. That opening phase where no one has the aura when all three are alive? A lot more important than it seems. The first one to get the aura is the one who takes the most damage in this phase. This also means the first attack after the ultimate attack isn’t necessarily the one you said it would be; it’s only that if Young Xehanort took the most damage in the opening. Once all three have gotten the aura, the ultimate attack starts again and whoever has the least health at that point gets the aura next. 2. After the first ultimate attack, there are three separate phases where they do a team attack with someone else getting the aura to focus on Sora before they do the ultimate attack again. When all three are alive, the aura always goes to each of them once, and when there are only two, it randomly chooses one at the start and switches from them on. This cycle is broken when only one is left, as there’s only one person who can take the aura. 3. The first attack phase of each cycle is always shorter than the other two. This is honestly a devious counter to trying on focus on one at a time since, as mentioned earlier, the first person to get the aura each cycle is the one with the lowest health. This means that the one closest to death will be the safest target for the least amount of time.

Portals aren’t actually connected to dreams necessarily. The way Joshua described them, they’re essentially gateways between worlds. So they’re basically another alternative form to traversing worlds like Gummi Ships, Dark Corridors, Lanes Between, etc. This explains why you can freely travel back and forth between Keyblade Graveyard and Final World after the main events there (tho its admittedly mostly a gameplay perk, lol). Anyway, Portals CAN be used to access people’s dreams but that’s not the only or main function. This is also why you can use them in missions to access different areas of worlds that you normally can’t revisit, like the final boss areas of Toy Box or Arendale. Also when Riku was talking about using Xehanort as a portal, he’s referring back to how he was essentially acting as an anchor for all his past selves to tether to when traveling thru time, and how it can be a two-way street they can use against him. That means he was talking about using Xehanort to TIME TRAVEL back to a point in his past they could trap him in for a bit, thus the Scala Ad Caelum we see IS the real Scala of the past, but frozen in a moment in time (which would explain why we don’t see anybody...unless the world is naturally that underpopulated, lol).
Wait, I thought that Scala had fallen to darkness and then became a sleeping world. You mean the old man really destroyed it? It's not just a world in his heart? What about the part where you see that everything in Scala is made out of crystal?
Bravihood He didn’t necessarily destroy it, nor is it likely that he wanted to it fall in the first place. It’s very difficult to say what ‘version’ (Past/Dream/Sleeping etc.) of Scala we visit in KH3, though it does appear to be deeply connected to Xehanort... That, or perhaps it’s simply a part of the innate connection he seems to possess when it comes to using structures and items associated with Keyblade-wielders (He directs countless keyblades in unison without ever actually touching them and he’s seen to manipulate the layout of the labyrinth that the Keyblade Graveyard becomes).
A quick neat note, for the final attack of the group attack where old man Xehanort sends out waves of keyblades, an easy trick to dodge them is to aim the camera to the floor and just walk from one corner to the other corner.
You mention how Xehanort casts some magic before hitting Kairi. I think he's actually bathing his Keyblade in darkness much like how Sora bathes his Keyblade in light while in limit form. Mans really pulled out a whole Ars Arcanum just to kill Kairi
I truly love the final moments with Ansem and Xemnas. I really feel the sadness and empathy with those characters. Except for Young Xehanort. F*ck that guy.
Can you imagine a mod where you fight those 3 in their *Limit Cut* movests? I would love to see that alongside the other modded org fights. Edit: Just imagine people like Everglow to be able to make such mods once the data is accessible to make it possible. • Kairi fighting “Limit Cut” Xion • Riku fighting Ansem in his dark DM • Deflecting Xigbar’s arrows while surviving against Dark Riku’s onslaught • Mickey pushing back Xemnas’ laser dome • Overall having to deal with multiple “Limit Cut” Org members simultaneously
Most people usually defeat YX, then Xemnas, then Ansem. In fact, that's how I defeated the Nort Court at first. In my Pro Codes run, I first defeated Ansem, then Young Xehanort, and finally Xemnas. Ironically, in both base game and ReMind, the Pro Codes run had me accidentally defeat Young Xehanort while trying to fight Xemnas (the base game had my Last Charge on Xemnas accidentally get Young Xehanort and defeat him, while ReMind had me use Payback Slash and accidentally hit Young Xehanort).
The music alone makes this the best fight in the game. It’s a beautiful fusion of Forze Del Mal, Darkness of the Unknown, and Dark Impetus/L’Impeto Oscuro
Ansem's laser orb attacks are from the final final battle in KH1; his boat form uses them Sora's summoning animation thing is also a reference to the KH1 & KHDDD openings, where they end with Sora doing that. The DDD opening in particular has him do it with the Guardians of Light Lastly, regardless of where that Scala Ad Caelum was, the Kingdom Hearts that appears is *the* Kingdom Hearts. The X-blade gives complete control of Kingdom Hearts, which isn't bound by space or time, since it *is* a heart- the heart of all things. It could theoretically be summoned anywhere, including the past or the sleeping realm
bothers tf out of me that they threw the rat in this fight instead of Roxas. Xehanort - Sora Ansem - Riku Xemnas - Roxas IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE
I guess they wanted characters that were there since the beginning. But I do agree that Roxas should’ve fought Xemnas. At least Remind have us something.
Hands down one of if not the coolest story boss(es) in this whole game, and the entire series at that, it’s so crazy that they were actually able to pit you up against 3 final bosses and still have it be a completely balanced thing (even if you can get screwed over at times if Riku and Mickey stay dead for too long when it’s 1v3) even if for no other reason than just the theme alone, it’s definitely an unforgettable battle
First time I faced them was Ansem/Xemnas/Young Xehanort, in the order of their games. Second time was Young Xehanort/Xemnas/Ansem, partly because on Critical Young Xehanort felt way too dangerous to leave alive for long. Fights since have mixed up the order a bit, though I tend to finish off Young Xehanort first. That said I feel like it fits the story best if he's the last to go down, since his defeat scene is the most ominous and leads more naturally into the final battle.
There’s something I’ve noticed with this fight. If Sora gets caught in a combo, Riku will break away from whoever he’s fighting and help Sora. I’ve only noticed this when he’s caught in combos with Young Xehanort and sometimes Xemnas
Motion to henceforth refer to this group as the Nort Court at all times for the foreseeable future. Any objections? ... Motion Granted. All parties are now legally required to recognize the group as the Nort Court. To answer the final question, I usually start with Young Xehanort because screw his time shenanigans. Afterwards it's basically whomever get's K.O'd first between the remaining two. I just end up swinging at whichever is closest at the time until one of them drops.
Note that after the "Riku! King Mickey!" cutscene time stop attack, the keyblade wave will ALWAYS be coming in the direction you're looking at and can be avoided by just pressing forwards. You will still have to dodge the very last wave because it will come from behind.
Uhm please ask sora why he didnt take one extra person There were 9 lights there Sora went with Donald and goofy hence 8 lights left And if you need 7 why didnt he take ven or roxas or flipping riku even??
@@soul6733 makes sense Scratch that If you are in that globe thing Is it possible to get out If not why didnt they just leave him there and find a way to find kairi If not Why did they hold kh with the x blade you'd think that no one is gonna be able to control it anyway and kh would just stay stationary until given command yes?
@@sbusisomanqele4318 Probably, correct me if I may wrong, it goes like ... 1. In the midst of chaos, even though they sure care Kairi so much, they must be prioritizing Kingdom Hearts first, for obvious reason ... 2. As long as MXnort around, it'll be useless to hold the KH ... That's why they need to keep MXnort away from KH ... 3. MXnort most likely already "command" KH to initiate the worlds's reset ... That's why they need to cancel it by closing the KH as soon as possible ... 4. Probably someone who turned into that portal can't get out of that portal ... But we're talking about MXnort ... Given enough time, this Keyblade Genius most likely can come up with something using his Vast Knowledge and Mastery to escape that place and make his way back to the Realm of Light ... So someone need to keep him busy, and finish him as soon as possible, before he could think anything ...
This is my favorite fight in the whole base game. I always defeat then in the order of YX, Ansem, then Xemnas because Xemnas is my favourite and I loved fighting him solo.
9:09 Ahh, I see ... So it was AnsemSOD who didn't tell the norts that Vexen is betraying them ... But still, it's kind of interesting to see when Roxas tell Xemnas that he's using a replica for his vessel, Xemnas never say Vexen's name ... Even though Vexen is the inventor of replica ... Maybe Xemnas overestimating AnsemWise and Zexion that they can also create a replica ... But still, did he really doesn't have any doubts towards Vexen ? Like, suspect him to tell AnsemWise and Zexiom how to create the replica or something ? ... That was one a high level of trust, if i'd say ...
When it comes to the order in taking out the Nort Court and the rest of the Organization, I always go in the canonical order that many people seem to sleep on. In both Theater Mode and the Keyblade Graveyard’s Story section in the Gummiphone, they list the order in which each member is taken out; even if you do them in a different order, both will still list the eliminations the way they’re intended. For example in the Story section, if you defeat Luxord, Marluxia and Larxene before Dark Riku and Xigbar, the former group will still be put below the latter group once they are inevitably defeated. By following that, I always go: X. Dark Riku IV. Xigbar V. Luxord VI. Larxene VII. Marluxia XI. Vanitas IX. Terra-Xehanort XIII. Xion VIII. Saïx II. Ansem III. Xemnas XII. Young Xehanort I. Master Xehanort
Bio-Roxas first of all I absolutely LOVE your videos. The way you explain every little detail is very enjoyable for someone like me. Definitely look forward always to them and will Be on your Patrion. Secondly to answer your question I do the same as you. I go for Young Xehanort then Xemnas and then Ansem which is the way I feel like it would be and is in the canon of the fight.
If anyone wants to understand DDD Lore better you should watch Dream Drop Discuss by The Secret Reports. She tries to understand the somewhat unexplained lore and mechanics of DDD and the realm of sleep.
This fight really marks the end of Sora's journey so far. Here we fight the three who antagonized Sora the most, in the past games and in this one. It feels like a grand finale on par with the actual final boss.
I honestly always focused Ansem first and then Young Xehanort, followed by Xemnas if only for the fact Xemnas is my favorite and I love him and his attacks were the coolest IMO.
This is the most interesting breakdown ever. I didn't know if the one of the north was glowing red attacked you. I can't remember how I defeated the norts and I defeated ansem first, then young xehanort and then mansex, I mean xemnas.
With how most of the Org died, I have the feeling that, if actually given the choice, they likely would have sided with the Guardians of Light- especially Ansem, Xemnas, and Luxord. Because let's be honest- Luxord didn't give a damn about the clash of Light and Dark. He was only in it for the thrill of the game.
I’m not looking forward to fighting this group in my all pro codes critical mode run... best believe I’m screaming bio’s catchphrase “GAW HIMMM” 😂🙏 Love the vid bro
There’s only one way to do this battle in order of who you beat. 1. Young Xehanort his time crap is too problematic to allow to stay 2. Xemnas since he gets close in to you 3. Ansem great finale speech which is a perfect way to end his story.
That's exactly the order in the Novel, while in the game according to the Cutscene order it's Ansem-Xemnas-YX. Sora and Mickey switch a couple times between Xemnas and Young Xehanort, while Riku was fighting Ansem the whole time until Xemnas was the last one standing. Before the Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort though.... 1. Sora hears Mickey's Yelp so he ran to help Mickey first. Luxord-Larxene-Marluxia 2. Riku Riku was focused on Dark Riku Sora was focused on Xigbar While Ansem was just standing there watching you before he retreat 3. Aqua and Ventus, which I prefer to help first before Kairi and Lea anyway Sora and Ven focus on Vanitas while Aqua is fighting Terra-Xehanort Afterwards they help Aqua beat Terra-Xehanort 4. Kairi and Lea - There isn't anything different considering Saix uses his exploding move which leads to the rest of the fight beating Saix and then moving on.
I always go for Xehanort first since he's simultaneously the easiest and most annoying to deal with. I like fighting Ansem and Xemnas, not young Xehanort. So he goes down first. After that I go for Ansem and then Xemnas.
I always try to defeat them in this order... I always go for Ansem First because I feel like he’s the weakest link of all 3 of them... Next I try to go for Young Xehanort because he’s just a relentless attacker all those whip slashes get annoying to me so I just try my best to get him out the way so that Xemnas can be last... But in my opinion Xemnas fights better by himself than he does with 2 others on his side I swear it feels like Xemnas is more powerful by himself than with 2 other party members by his side getting in his way... But that’s what order I try to defeat them in... Sometimes Young Xehanort goes first by accident because he just never stops attacking but mainly Ansem Young Xehanort then Xemnas
I'm still waiting for someone to mod this fight so you're fighting the data versions simultaneously could you imagine fending off xemnas ansem and Xehanort during the laser dome sequence OOF!
What if somebody were to mod this fight so you're fighting the characters that use some of their movesets from their Data versions instead of all of their movesets? What made the Data versions more special than the KH2 Data Bosses was that the Data Bosses in KH3 performed different patterns and different yet same abilities than their Main Story counterparts. They'll perform some of their moves in the Main Story while they can switch back and forth with their Data moves. For example, Young Xehanort will still have his tiny whip restraint move while one of the characters does their Data iteration move. An Idea: When one of the characters are close to or exactly at 1 HP, they perform their Data DM like Data Young Xehanort did. Xemnas can do his Laser DM when he is close to dying and I'm not sure what to do for Ansem's Data DM. Modders don't have to get rid of their Main Story Movesets ENTIRELY, they could make it so the bosses can switch back and forth from Main Story Movesets to Data Movesets.
