@@FS02012 yes PR should be done the right way. I live in UK and students only get a 2 year visa after completion of studies. I was not born in UK but have lived here for over 20 years and now a naturalised citizen and it took years. Citizens should come first. I agree with you them restaurant jobs are supposed to be for home teenagers who are still deciding on path to take. @@SeyiObasiCanada Maybe some who went to universities and credible colleges, but not those who enrolled in diploma mills institutions. Some don’t even attend school but work instead. These are coming from Indian students themselves who admit they have better education from their country.
Change is the only constant in life, and so instead of making noise all over the place these students should study the other paths to getting their PR. The election is next year, the Liberals are fighting for their lives and they won’t be backing down even if the students cry tears of blood. They can even go to court if somebody told them student visas would guarantee them permanent residence I’m for immigration by the way, but feeling entitled to stay in Canada forever just bc you voluntarily paid high tuition fees for your own education can only mean the thousands you spent trying to open your mind went down the drain
Ask any tim hortons worker and uber drivers what they are studying and where?...the majority will say some mba degree, data science degree in some diploma mill...they will never get a job in their field for the following reasons 1) canada really don't need 20,000 mba graduates every year ..we don't even have so many business in need of a legit mba jobs that pays well 2)the diploma mill colleges in bramton have a single class room with leased desk and part time tutors..this is not quality education 3)quality of students ...protesting to get a degree because they have a right as they paid for thr course ?? Really you want these people as your engineers and mba graduates for your company?😊
When you buy a concert ticket, it is for the event, not to live at the venue. Students came for the education, they don’t get to live at the school. The education they receive is supposed to be used in the country of the students’ origin to advance the quality of life for their families and culture. It is supposed to expand the skills and employability and business opportunities of these origin countries to expand global capital growth. There should be no need for PR in an already developed country. Invest your education and efforts in your own country.

@@stephoniescott3717 It is unfortunate that the government let this go on for years. Now that they Canadians are complaining about how it made housing costs worse, they did something.
Canada has, for decades, been in the top 10 of safest and least racist countries on planet Earth. Plus prosperous. Now there is a new negative spin that most Canadians do NOT deserve to a high degree. People must look at both sides. Since 2020, international students have been flocking to a educational system that many Canadians now feel was used by many of them as a loophole-to-immigration. Students utilizing schooling as a back-door (not front-door) ticket to living in Canada. Swarming a 50+ year tradition/system that was not not NOT designed to be about every international student INSISTING on receiving Permanent Residency. Plus it was not designed to be primarily about students demanding lengthy work permits (& spouse permits etc.). Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 5 years time) turned into what many are now jokingly calling EDUGRATION. An extreme not approved by everyday Canadians. What about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? Canadians want $ greedy foreign agents to stop marketing & lying to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy. At best, there is a 20% chance of PR (better odds if career is in HIGH demand). And what about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian-born citizens. Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Mills that Canada is shutting down. AND the bulk of them are near Brampton Ontario and Surrey B.C.. Coincidence? Canada is now compelling ALL schools to report to Immigration whether a student is attending school and complying with permit requirements or not. Were Canadian public colleges & universities greedy too (while honest)? Sure. But the Canadian government stepped in and slowed them down too (like a trustworthy government should). Are most international students truly scholars who came to Canada with enough $ to support themselves while STUDYING? Or economic migrants, who borrowed $ to buy their way closer to the head of the immigration line? To say all the students or their consultants have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's education programs to gain western PR or $ is ridiculous. Students have contributed to Canada's severe housing crisis and lack of entry jobs because 90% conspire-to-outstay a TEMPORARY permit. Canada wants to help people, but not when it contributes to severe home unaffordability and a recession. If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent asylum seekers crossing into Canada… and international students... have raised Canada's population higher than 2.65%. More needing healthcare too (affecting waiting times etc.). What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims? What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also drastically changing work practices that include working more hours for less money). Plus BC & Ontario are outlawing the Caste System. Then throw in the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. In recent years, Canadians are having to worry about their automobile being stolen by auto theft rings. For just one example of what Canadians see regarding this new concern research; "arrests in connection with $9.24M Toronto-area auto theft ring". Research; "Gold stolen in Canada's biggest ever heist ended up in India". On YT look up "TorontoPolice News Conference Project Déjà Vu". Major scams involving foreign call centres too. Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now worried/fearful. All are praying it doesn't turn into anger. Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this). Canadians are aware that some wonderful students/humans are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which is awful. But Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada to prevent further pains. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians now see primarily Indians protesting in Canada making demands? Yes. Protesting because they don't have the credentials to stay in Canada. And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires/demands. And why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students protesting & waving their flags? They're in Canada too. Did international students and their families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Did Canada force internationals to move to Canada as a STUDENT when their primary goal is work/PR? No. Did Canada promise/guarantee a job? And PR? No & no. Yet do they only blame Canada when they can't get work/PR??? After they came to Canada as a STUDENT?🤔 Look up Human Rights Index 2023. Canada is ranked 13th. USA is 17th. India 109th.
I understand and share your opinion but then....the Canadian government is largely to blame. CCanadian governement themselves have PR programs for international students and many provinces strive to make international students PRs after studies. People talking about them on youtube are just saying as it is. If people come to Canada to study and PR is an added benefit, it does not mean they are trying to con the system...No! I dont agree. What about Canada opening its doors to asylums? Do you blame anyone for seeking asylum if the opportunity is there? Would you rather all the students seek asylum rather than pay those huge fees and then hooe for PR? And this is not promarily about indians. Canada has treated indians partially for years so they cannot cry wolf now. The students are not asking to be guaranteed PR - they are only asking for cahnce to apply If you look at this scenario impartially (especially if you have been an international student yourself), you too will see that these students have not been treated fairly There are 2 sides to the coin...is all I say
Agreed, people who don’t have the credentials for PR and do not wish to assimilate while being disruptive to locals should be deported. They’re making things worse for actual students who wish to study and contribute to the economy.

If someone can work 20 hours per week and be able to pay his or her tuition fee, it is better not to apply for PGWP after school. It will be good to register for another course and apply for study permit extensions.
