Lex seems to always gets it right. Two of their four consecutive worldwide hits between 1970-72 were produced by Beatles, 'Come and Get It' (McCartney) and 'Day After Day' (Harrison). I remember when all of their stuff was out of print due to all the contractual BS. I can remember being on a hunt for this album 30 years ago - the cheapest (and there were not many available) was $75 for used vinyl . The tragedy of their story is sad, and this sounds maybe a little trite - but it is also too bad because they truly had some great songs - this one, Day After Day, No Matter What, If You Want It, Carry On, Without You. They were also one of initial Power Pop bands

Lex's intuitive sense is remarkable. Most of Badfinger's songs have strong melodies and melody-based guitar solos, and like others have said, they sharpened their chops with the likes of McCartney and Harrison. Badfinger had several hits that were all well-written songs with great hooks. I highly recommend you listen to No Matter What,, and Day After Day. Another song of theirs, a beautiful melancholy ballad called Without You, was a huge hit for vocalist Harry Nilsson, also highly recommended. Pop songwriting rarely gets any better than this. They were signed to The Beatles' Apple Records and had another hit with the Paul McCartney-penned Come And Get It. The rest of their story is sadly tragic.

Just FYI, Ice-T isn’t just an actor. He started out as a rapper, former gang member and also created his own metal band called, BODY COUNT. Here’s his explanation of his love for hardcore/ metal. Here’s Body Counts Slayer cover: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LPHJLB1ZeAc.html. They also just won a Grammy for Body Count. ENJOY! 🤘🏻😎😎🎸🎸🥁

The McCartney influence is unmistakable. No surprise that Harrison recruited them to the Apple label.

Lol I can’t tell if Brad was being serious but it’s not about an actual baby. It’s about letting a relationship go even though the singer is still in love with the woman he’s singing about, and he’s asking her to remember him fondly. Lex is spot on with the Beatles connection. BTW this is a genre of rock known as “power pop” which is like a very guitar driven energetic sound but with an emphasis on melody and harmony. This song is considered to be one of the most notable power pop songs.

It is a cross between the Beatles and SuperTramp. George Harrison played on one of their songs, Day After Day and some of their songs were recorded at Abbey Roads Studios

She's right, it's about a girl, at the end he's talking about letting a special love she has for him to grow and to let him know said special love she has for him

This song is one of my top five favorites of all time! Sad what happened to them, their manager basically stole their money and two of the members committed suicide.
