My mind is actually blown. How Walt managed to poison Brock is maybe THE lingering question the series leaves us with, and while fans had worked out all the pieces, the show gave us a major hint in the original episode this whole time. Incredible work spotting it!
I really like that, because Saul never met Hector (even in BCS), he calls him "Tio" because that's likely what Jesse called him, which is because that's what Tuco called him. Jesse, Saul, and Walter all just assume that's his name.
That is really funny... great point! Even Vince and the writers just called him that for the longest time because he didn't have a first name until Season 4!
Yes and apparently so did the writer of the Breaking Bad comic oddly. The comic is simply a recap of the events up to Episode5-08, so 99% of it is scenes lifted directly from the show and redrawn. However at one point they mention the victim of the explosion being "Mr. Tio Salamanca" ugh.

Just realized that both Season 4 and 5 end with Walt Rescuing jesse from captivity by shooting his kidnappers, and then having a phone call with someone that he ends with dominance. "I won." "Well.... Goodbye Lydia."
Now this is something I have been waiting for a long time, usually I watch these on my phone but sitting down on my computer for this one. 1 - Love that the "Face Off" name came from something so innocuous, I remember getting a false spoiler that Mike was going to be in this episode because I thought I saw him on the IMDB Banner, I ended up just being confused. I remember thinking this episode was going to be a literal face off between Mike and Walt lol 2 - I appreciate the becky scene more after seeing what Metastasis did for it, having us see it from a distance is so much more effective. 3 - Saul always has the best ideas, unintentionally or not. 4 - That woman not acting is so beautiful, an iconic moment born from something so minuscule. 5 - Gus walking to his death is such a beautiful scene. 6 - Its so cool the walking dead guys were on this, I heard they put blue meth in their show. Its like 2 friends paying tribute to each other, even if I am not a twd fan I think that's cool 7 - The next episode of TV I saw that would make me feel this way is The Wires "Middle Ground". Not sure which one of these two episodes I prefer 8 - Something I noticed when rewatching El Camino with my dad. Walter finds out Gus is dead on the radio, and Jesse finds out Walter is dead on the radio. 9 - The coffee detail is wonderful. 10 - I like to listen to black whenever I accomplish something, lol. That cut to the instrumental was superb. Shoutout to Blasonduo with that IWBTG pfp. Wonderful video. Now my most anticipated episode is Ozymandias. And yes this is the only time I have become a member

The "face off" effect is also a brilliant way of showing how fastidious Gus is. What could be more absurd than straightening your tie when half of your face is blown off?

I dont think walt got interrupted planting the bomb. I think he planted the bomb knowingly after hector got checked out, because he' know the place would be searced for potential threats. If he planted the bomb before, it would have been caught. So he knew he had just a short time to place it under the wheelchair.
just finished watching and wow, this is easily one of my favourite videos you’ve made, the fact that you’re able to keep this level of quality on a weekly upload schedule is incredibly impressive, that combined with how much you interact with your fanbase makes me certain that you’ll be a gigantic channel one day

On the breaking bad subreddit two users had a bet with eachother based on if Walt actually poisoned Brock and the loser had to drink piss. He actually did it.

The "Lily of the Valley" reveal is still my favorite ending to a show's season ever. Dexter Season 4 ending is up there, but this Breaking Bad one just nails it. I got goosebumps just watching it here, and also typing it out. I've rewatched this show several times and I understand the slow pacing and backlash with that for people who aren't bigger fans of the show, but this reveal just makes the build up of Walt and the show in general so perfect and starts to really begin the beginning of the end.
Can clearly see the effort, time, and passion put into these videos. (For example, looking to see if ricin is mentioned at all in house. Where do you go to find information like that?) Nothing better than waking up Sunday to see a new episode broken down. “This is art, Mr White!”

I watched this before getting dressed. I am still mad Vince didn't win an EMMY for his hard work directing this masterpiece of an episode. You did a masterful job breaking it all down. I always found it funny Jesse mentioned "House" being where he learned about Ricin since he doesn't seem like someone watching House every week. Plus House is about a genius who is a pain in the ass much like Walt. Vince using his mom for a cameo so that Walt would be sure a bomb isn't in his house is so dark.
I discovered this series about a week ago and have binge-watched my way up to date. It’s just as entertaining and compelling as the actual show was! As somebody who works in TV production I also want you to know how much I appreciate the effort that’s gone into the graphics.
I always took Hector's "good-bye" look as him laughing. I'm no expert on disabilities, or even what Hector is or isn't able to do. But the smug look could be his last moment of levity (laughing) before setting the explosion.
Yeah, to me I feel like I see him at peace or almost nostalgic, then amused, then determined/angry. By “goodbye to us,” I meant that it looks like he looks right into the camera! Thanks for becoming a member!

Been watching a for about a year and I’ve gotta say these videos are some of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. It must be a federal crime that your channel is as small as it is but holy moly the member count definitely makes up for it. While I love Ozymandias, this has to be my favourite. I remember watching it on Netflix at midnight, right after End Times. The bewildering Gus's "survival" of the pipe bomb, the somber track that plays after Walt won, signifying the proper goodbye Gus needed, and especially The Lily of the Valley at the end... Pure cinema.

I really wish it had ended here, not only because I love Walter and didn't want him to die, but also because it felt a bit like the nazis came out of nowhere, but I guess when the big fish dies another takes it place

I work as a para in the special education ERR (Extdended Resource Room) at one of our middle schools here in Kuna, Idaho. Our teacher has a daily white board question for students and staff to answer and this past week we had "Whatcha Watchin' Wednesday -- Who Is Your Favorite RU-vidr?" Of course I chose Better Watch TV. After explaining what the channel is all about, not only did our other para tell me she would check out your channel, but the next day one of my students asked me to write it down because he was telling his mom about it and it turns out she is a huge BB fan! They made Jesse way too stupid and oblivious in this episode imo. It's sad how easily Jesse gets manipulated by Walt, especially in this episode. Jesse has it all figured out, but for the wrong reasons: He knew Walter poisoned Brook, but because Walter said _"no, it was actually Gus",_ Jesse is just like _"oh okay, I guess you right."_ But then, and this is the worst part for me, when Jesse figures out that it was in fact NOT Gus who poisoned Brook, he doesn't immediately go back to assuming it was Walt. Everything Walt said to Jesse, was relying on the fact that Gus poisoned Brook, so it should have immediately set off a ton of red flags at least. Maybe Jesse just is that dumb, idk. So stay in school y'all, don't become a dropout like Jesse lol.
Well the doctors said that it was a plant that Brock must have gotten into. He doesn't know that Walt has that plant in his backyard, and Walt feigns ignorance as to what the plant is or what it can do. Completely believable that Jesse would think it's all been a misunderstanding, and that's why he clarifies that Gus "had to go".
Right, I think that the fact that it wasn't ricin threw Jesse off. Plus, he had a LOT going on that day (including getting tased and kidnapped) so I'd forgive him for not thinking of everything!
I think the scene of Hank ignoring his family's pleas to put his own well-being over his duty as a DEA agent is foreshadowing his eventual death. Also, I find it weird that Hector does not have access to a spanish-speaking nurse. One would think that his family - prior to their untimely end - would have ensured he'd have access to that.
@@betterwatchtv Yes, that's probably right. Although a nurse spelling the alphabet in spanish, together with the visual aid, would still have been understandable to the audience I recon.
14:20 The destruction of the meth lab is easily one of my favorite scenes in the series. The music gives you a sense of urgency, while the scene delivers one of the last blows to Gus's Empire. Chills.

I always thought the clip on tie was to illustrate that this whole front he put on is a "clip on". When he's Pollos manager Gus its all fake, when he's meth boss Gus it's his real and authentic self.
I just don't know that Tyrus and Victor emoji would be popular enough to use up the limited slots! I also feel bad about not having Skyler and Marie represented, but just feel like they wouldn't be used very much. There are TONS of Better Call Saul characters I could add, but feel like I should wait a bit longer for that...
Thanks so much for these awesome videos. Made me start my 6th rewatch of the show lol. One detail i noticed: Walt shoots the henchman in the lab with 3 shots. "Pop pop pop - Three shots" just as he and Jessy discussed when they first planned to get rid of Tuco. Walt uses only one shot on the drug dealers erlier, but he only finished them off after running them over with his car though.
