«My name is Skylar White, yo!» The first time I heard that, I lost it. I laughed so hard. This show is amazing. From big drama to comedy and everything in between.
I am loving going on this journey with you. Love the first experiences of "cool, badass, funny Walt. I really hope every couple episodes, Chandra just drops little subtle quips like "Hey Jordan, chemistry looks fun." and the ever present Jordan response of "NO METH CHANDRA!"
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are brilliant in this. They have a tough job with how simultaneously emotional and absurd the events of the show are. I love the genuine hurt and betrayal behind Jesse's "We flipped a coin!" 🤣
@@seanstinchfield-mp2xmlol yea I thought " so how is he going to get the liquid body of acid out of his tub? He can't simply drain the acid down the drain" lol but nope it just melted through the floor lol
Chirality matters a lot for organic stuff. In fact, our entire biosphere has a "handedness" whereby certain chirality is required for certain molecules in certain roles, and so far as we know it's entirely possible that life could evolve on another planet with opposite chirality such that it had all the same molecules and reactions, but with opposite chirality to ours and so incompatible (eg we couldn't live on their food). (Pending any corrections from actual scientists...)
Not that this show makes me think about how I'd be a crime-lord... but I think they really should have done both jobs together. That way Jesse wouldn't have been unsupervised and they'd both have been equally guilty (not that it would make much difference in law).
A huge part of the show is about consequences. It’s cool to see how Walt’s actions impact things in his family as well as in the “drug world.” The lesson about the chirality of a chemical is symbolic of Walt’s double life. Glad you guys are liking the show! It only gets better.
Hey guys .. always ready to see this again with fresh faces! Tip: This show deliberately uses _colour_ to indicate character, moods, motives, etc. Most of the colours mean what you'd think; with the addition that yellow means _meth_ in this universe. Fun to watch for, but not worth overthinking too much. Enjoy!
Ah, every time I watch people react to this, it flashes me back to California in the mid 1990s when this was my life, to a degree. There were no murders or anything like that, but the money, yes. 94% clean red rose glass lol. It was pretty much everywhere in the Bay Area in the 90s. Even my friends at top financial companies were using it. lol
@@MrYin90210 It was weird to see a show about the lifestyle and stuff. I just never saw the bottom of it. Thankfully, my wife and I had great jobs that we didn't lose or anything like that. Love/hate relationship..on/off..but it was fun seeing the nasty side on the show. Walter was a chemistry teacher, guy I knew was a retired Boeing engineer. quality control. lol
the bathtub thing is actually walt's fault... when jesse says the acid will eat through the plastic, walt could have explained that the acid wont eat that plastic, but instead he decides to "be a dick about it" in jesse's words. then walt explains it to jesse AFTER it happens.. if he told jesse that in the first place, it wouldnt have happened. but walt thinks explaining himself to jesse is beneath him.
No he does briefly explain it to Jesse he says not hydrofluoric acid it won't eat through plastic but it's true that when Jesse said why not he didn't want to take the time to explain to him what it would and would not eat through so Jesse took it upon himself to think that a bathtub is stronger and a bathtub will fit a whole body not knowing his chemistry Jesse should have listened in class lol Walt knows he didn't pay attention in class so he didn't want to have to try and explain it to him now but he could have just simply gave him a quick explanation better than what he did but Jesse should have always asked him more questions when messing around with acid.lol
"What is wrong with you!". Uh.........well Skyler, if you remember ........I have stage 4 lung cancer. Maybe I'm in the minority, but Skyler always bugged me throughout the entire series.
He hasn't told her yet, though... She has a tendency to get blamed for things that are well outside her control simply because of how she reacts to what she knows. But she's not a dumb person.
Jesus, all the movie reactors do the same movies and now they're all doing TV shows. The same TV shows. Millennials and gen z'ers can't do anything original. They're sheep.
