It said " HOLA DEA " The turtle has “Hola DEA” written on it because it is saying hello to the DEA, they knew he was talking to the DEA. I have always thought that Hank got in the fight expecting to get suspended so he could get out of going back to El Paso and that is why he went to the car first and put his gun away.

It was Hanks deflated ego that made him go in and fight. He felt weak for his panic attacks and not wanting to go back to El Paso, and it made him feel ashamed. He needed to prove to himself that’s he’s still a strong guy, and boost his ego back up.

Can we even say she cheated on him? She wants a divorce and him out of the house and he refuses. If my wife was doing the same thing, I'd also start seeing other people as well. They're not going to hold my life up if I want to move on.

I see NYC, so one thing I can say is the Italian Wiseguy being the conservative traditionalist of NYC has the tradition of having a wife and on Friday, and a Goomar (a side woman) on a Saturday. A right to cheat on a woman you made a vow to. I'm not a godly man, not religious. But when you enter a marriage, you give your word if nothing else to stand by her/him no matter what to the death. Simply put, modern Americans are so narcissistic they can't even recognize it, they can't recognize when they have their own word on the line. Skyler cheated, pure and simple. Plus, you go through all that with the cancer? Just to do that? No. People live without purpose in this era. Walt's purpose in the end is to cheat death while dying. This was partially about his family in the beginning but now to the end is about him cheating death and becoming the best and top at what he does. So in a way, he's cheating too, but through a lie and something his wife disapproves of. Maybe it's me, I hold my friendships, familyships, and relationships very seriously, they're sacred. Without your people, your next to nothing.

Walter hurt Skyler deeply and put her in an impossible position when he refused to leave their house or grant the divorce. This exactly. Can’t believe that people are like “how could she?” Like, she didn’t know it, but there were two serial killers in her house because of him, her life is now in danger. Her brother in law is a DEA agent so she knows there’s a great change she and the kids will never see that money. But how could she cheat on this abusive man?

I don't think Skyler hooked up with Ted because she liked Ted. I think it was revenge against Walter. Walter went off and did something that impacted the whole life of the family, and now not only does Skyler have to deal with it, but she has to keep up the lie because of Walter's choice that he made without her. To get him back, she hooked up with Ted, and she told Walter so that Walter now knows what it feels like to have someone else make a choice without him, and now he has to keep up the "happy family" lie. I'm not saying it's right ... I'm just saying that it she seemed to do it more out of revenge than desire ... that's why she told him literally minutes after the dirty deed was done.

I think Walt and his brother in law Hank do have an unspoken understanding that they married into a situation that can go sideways on a whim the moment you survive your work day and take a step into the house.

Next time you look up a couple of decades have passed and you've decided to never let anyone in your life again. Now you're just waiting for an ending

The "IFT" (I F*cked Ted) episode is about how the characters are feeling and dealing with their situations. Hank still dealing with his El Paso anxiety. Jessie still dealing with the death of his girlfriend. Then finally Skyler's situation at home with Walt. How she feels and how trapped she feels with the Walt situation. This is why Skyler ended up going through with sleeping with Beneke to force Walt to just "walk away" from their marriage. Again, every episode in this show is about the details and is never straight forward. If you ever re-watch this series, you will be surprised how much you catch that you miss on the first view.

The Hank bar scene is so much like the Sopranos scene where Tony starts a fight and beats up one of his bodyguards. It's all about proving to others, and more importantly one's self, that they are not weak. Both characters have multiple near brushes with death and have PTSD. Hank getting asked to go back to traumatizing El Paso triggered the hell out of him and filled him with fear. The whole bar scene was about him proving he was still a man, a tough guy, and not afraid. Unfortunately, it's never that simple. PTSD is no joke, not even for the toughest guys on earth. Also, "What does HOLADEA mean?" Is the funniest thing I have ever heard!

I’m sure somebody said this to you guys already. Gustavo is partners with the cartel. Those twins are the cousins of Tuco, and the man in the wheelchair is their uncle and leader (cartel). Tuco’s Uncle (the guy in the wheelchair) sent the twins to kill Walter White. When Mike (the guy in the car watching who set up the cameras, also the best character in the series) saw them there he called Gustavo and Gustavo made them leave. Gustavo and the cartel work together but they are at war at the same time.

One of my favorite parts of the series, is when Jessie buys the house. However I do get the tough love his parents had to. After 20 or thirty times getting stolen from or your stuff ruined by an addict you just got to cut them out your life until they can prove they are clean. I have a cousin I love dearly. I will buy him food bring him blankets in winter, clean his cloths, bring him soap, n hygiene products. I check on him often. But he can’t come stay with me until he gets clean in a legit rehab. He is a scammer and he has scammed me to many times , stolen from me. I get he is sick but he can’t disrupt my life anymore. So now I just make sure he has some basic needs when and if I see him around town. It’s sad everytime I run across him. I cry for the little boy who was my hero growing up and sometimes my protector. But I do more for him than his own family does. He’s been on drugs for 35 years he was an addict at 15 yrs old. It had him before he ever knew what harm it would ever do to him. And that’s the boy I cry for. But the man he became I just can’t have in my home. 😢. Sorry to vent. But Jessie reminds me of him so much. Wish my cousin would be stick to being sober like him.

Hank didn't start the fight in the bar just because the guy was dealing drugs. Like Gomez says, everyone in that backstreet bar is probably holding and they wouldn't usually waste the time on small street busts. Hank is shellshocked from the stuff in Texas but he doesn't want to admit that he's scared. He has a lot of pride and wants everyone to see him as an unbreakable badass. So he started the fight to prove to convince himself he's not afraid of anything.

I think Skyler did what she did and told Walter because she wanted him to feel as hurt as she does being married to someone that you don’t know. He put the money in her face and showed her that he’s not who she thought he was. So, she did that too, in his face.

Never understood how people in the comment always claim Skyler did it just to get back at Walter. Its like the have complete amnesia from the last couple of episodes showing Skyler flirting with Ted. Holding hands with him, kocking the pens down on purpose when he was walking out to get his attention, that horrible cringy seductive signing ALL before she even had an idea Walter was cooking. On top of that leaving Holly with Marie just so she could go fk Ted multiple times after the first shows that wasn't her real reason, she just wanted an excuse for something she knew Ted wanted since that Christmas party.

Breaking Bad is one of the rare shows that never has a bad episode. Some episodes are building the story, some are shockingly dramatic. But they're all incredible.

I never thought about it, but "fly" was always an episode where I was just waiting for it to be over. I never paid attention to it, but it has no purpose to the plot. It's a stand alone episode

I can't take this Fly slander, it's one of my favorite episodes. From a story standpoint, I could NOT wait for an episode between Walt and Jesse where they can just catch up and just have a civilized talk with eachother on all the insane dramatic and fast paced stuff that's happening in their own respective situations. I was honestly getting s bit annoyed with the show at that point, because an episode like that in my opinion was overdue. It was a fun episode that also had a deeper meaning and gave us a taste of season one as well. Seeing Walter and Jesse being okay with eachother is something that is rare. So an entire episode of it was perfect for me and an amazing way to break up the series (while I know that wasn't the intention as it was for budget reasons, my point still stands)

😂😂😂 It’s “Hola, DEA.” “Hello, DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)” They realize Tortuga was informing to the DEA, so they killed him. He understood when he saw what Bolsa wrote on the shell. Then they put the bomb in the turtle with Tortuga’s head on it to explode when the DEA sees it. I want to be clear that I am NOT making fun of you by posting the laughing emoji. If you don’t see it just right, it looks like one word. I can absolutely see myself or my friends doing that and it made me happy listening to you guys trying to guess the word. Like watching with friends.

what makes walter worse is that he's her husband; she's been with him for years and now suddenly she feels like she doesn't know him and that if he kept this about her he could've kept anything. she doesn't have any expectations from ted like she did with walt, and like she said, she's thinking about the kids and how it would affect them if they find out. jesse is depressed because of jane -- you have to remember this is still recent for him so the pain is still fresh. and like asia said now that he's sober he has to deal with the pain of it instead of numbing it like he could've done if he was still on drugs.

I think part of Hank beating up those dudes was simply getting out some pent up aggression due to being sent back to El Paso. He's scared and he wants to feel powerful.

Hank is still nervous about going to El Paso hence why he went to a sketchy bar so he can get into a fight and ease his anxiety. It had nothing to do with really wanting to bust those guys.

Fun fact The guy who gave Tortuga the turtle and who was talking to Gus outside after the meeting with Hector and the cousins is named Juan Bolsa. Bolsa is Spanish for bag or sack. His name is a shout out to Johnny Sack from the Sopranos. Also the turtle had HOLA DEA painted on its shell. That means HELLO DEA. Bolsa had just referred to Tortuga as the big talker.

Y'all should try to think of this from Skylar's perspective: She feels deeply hurt, angry and betrayed by Walter. For one, he didn't just tell a little white lie here. He carried on for months with a whole entire OTHER LIFE behind her back. That's pretty hard to not feel hurt from. But of course, even worse, he's jeopardized the lives and safety of the whole family. Not only from the danger of other criminals, but from law enforcement as well. And again, WITHOUT their consent. So she tried to do things the right way by getting the family away from his criminal activities. And Walter refused to honor that. And consider this: If she wanted to get her kids to safety now? SHE would have to find a new place to live, with an infant and a disabled teenage son who is already angry, and on her salary. SO, basically, she feels completely powerless and backed in a corner by Walter. I know he's trying to convince himself and everyone else that he's only ever done what he does for the family. And yes, there is truth in that. But forcing himself back into the house was a completely selfish move. And look at Skylar's face for most of this episode. She looks pretty much shell shocked (and often has since discovering what Walt is doing). She can't even begin to sort out what to do or how to feel I'm sure. So she did the only thing she could think of: To hurt Walt back. Having said that? Yeah, I was totally on Walt's side when I watched it too lol

One of the guys Hank fought in tbe bar was a UFC fighter in real life, Kieth Jardine. Jardine started on the ultimate fighter tv show season 2 or 3. He fought Chuck Liddell, Wanderlia Silva, Forest Griffin, Rampage Jackson, ect...

I already knew when it first started with Skylar and her boss getting "friendlier", that they were gunna', "do the deed". One day. Soooner or later. Crazy tho' that as a family unit, looks like Walter and Skylar KNOW what's up with each other, they just gunna' keep it movin', doin' what they do. Only thing to do is either rise, or fail and fall.
