This was actually one of the hardest episodes to watch. Just seeing the hell that boy was living in and realizing thats a reality for many children. So so sad. Aaron paul really shined in this episode. Representing how the audience is experiencing this unimaginable drug home.
that fucking *SQUIDGE* sound effect gave me major goosebumps. aaron paul is amazing as well. when he says “have a good rest of your life” i almost teared up because that’s not an unlikely life for some kids as you said. Jesse is an absolute degenerate dickhead with some decency
This is the end of the line when it comes to addiction. For anyone wondering, yes there are many people like this out there. But some of them can and do recover to the point where you'd never even be able to tell
Jaded as I am, I wanted to cry for that baby. See it all the time in Detroit and everywhere else. Sad. The drugged out adults, just some sympathy. People like them have destroyed so much of what is good.
I’m honestly surpirsed this episode doesn’t have the same rankings as some of the other ones like felina. It was hella dark but realistic….the ending of this episode where Jesse gets the kid was enough to almost make me cry
Come to my place of work and you can see people like these everywhere IRL. So hooked the drugs become more important than anything else. Their kids should be taken away tbh. Its sad. Not the people working in our company btw. Just the street its located on.
You guys must not visit people's homes very often. This is why we have house keepers and/or select members of the household to distribute housework. Shit goes downhill, fast, without a housekeeper!
I think about this scene often. How that couple has fallen into despair. You can just tell by looking at them and their house very accurately, how they spent their last 5-10 years at least. They fell so deep into hell. Fully knowing that, people still have innate desire to be appreciated, and not humiliated and degraded. The wife, still doesn't like to be called skank, by a husband who she fell so far into drugs and chaos along with. Maybe its not related, but it runs parallel to the Frankenstein monster in the original book. He's grotesque and un-natural of a creature to exist, still he craves affection so intently. Its so deeply embedded into us.

Listen, skanks. It doesnt really matter whos prints are on it. When she confesses to everything. Plus, its an Atm. Thats literally one degree away from getting prints from money. When its something a lot of people use, prints don't mean much...
@@TwinCityHero That's the symbolism. The meth heads basically opened it already and got it loose for Jesse. They were just so worried about their meth that they didn't realize how close they were to opening it.
Kyle Johnson It’s ironic but still symbolic. You don’t always get what you want exactly when you want it. Idk if it’s an english term but in my language we say: «those who wait for something good, don’t wait forever» Jesse came for his money but ended up caring more for their kid than the money. After the dudes head got smashed and that bitch went to take a nap, all he wanted to do was to get the hell out of there and all of a sudden the ATM opens like: «here you go, sorry it took so long. Here’s a little extra for the inconvenience»
