Yes he mentions god alot and the devil as well though not as often, he's a catholic if i remember correctly, he used to be a significant alcoholic which lead to his nerve disease which resulted in their hiatus, I often wonder if alcoholism is the demon he was fighting
You saw it too This song speaks about the challenges of the Christ when he dwelt in humanity. If you listen closely it makes sense. Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal to God but humbled himself and became obedient unto death and death of the cross. Pain come alive I tried to breathe followed the dammed I have lost the way again means becoming sin and obedient unto death the likeness of sinful flesh . It sings about the obedience and the battle of Christ on earth. Stay trust in life carry beneath dead arise sorrow avenged I will face the week within. Means that he needed to face the crucifixión and then resurrection. So I’ll stay unforgiven and I’ll keep love together means he taking the wrath of God and becoming unforgiven for us. I’ll sleep close to heaven means sleep in the tomb where they laid his body in. Hate lost inside I dare to dream faithless lies caught in the web I will face the week within. Meaning all the lies of the world the Pharisees and all of evil men through the work of Satan that God doesn’t exist that Jesus didn’t exist and that if he did exist he didn’t resurrect. It still goes on till this day the influence of the prince of the power of the air. Atheist and the news lying to you spreading fear. 2:08 means his descencion and his ascension to the father of the lights that’s why you hear the devil mad and furious screaming in defeat fear kind of like the passion of the Christ movie but better. 2:27 I’m coming home release me my love he speaking to spirits in prison and chains liberating the captives in Abraham’s bosom.
my fav band of all time....this band has gotten me through more shit then i care to remember, but one thing obviously i havent forgotten is that Ben's Talent is UNSURPASED in his field...some of the most leading singers of "thier" (IMO) sound are David of Disturbed, Pete of Chevelle, Sully of Godsmack, and of course Ben Burnley...Ben continues to make outstanding music, and i am very thankful they havent changed their sound over the years...to me, i am very thankful to have been able to be alive while this band has been around...i certainly cant imagine my life not ever have had heard them
My girl broke up with me the day after New Years (3 days ago). I was listening to Pandora, and I heard this. It fits what I'm feeling, I thought of sending this to her, but I'm giving her space. I can't stop listening to this song, I love it so much!
This album was released in the summer of 2015, the hardest time of my life. Thank you Breaking Benjamin for keeping me going with your awesome music. I don't know what I would do without you guys.
I love this fucking song so much! When I first picked this album up and listened through it this song hit me in a certain way that the rest didn't. The rest of the album is fantastic but that chorus is just ridiculously good
I still remember when this album released, vividly. It was the summer of 2015 and I was deciding whether or not to go back to the school I was at and go on with my Junior year. I don't regret it one bit at all. Junior year was the best year of my life and here I am two years later, ready to graduate and chase my dreams with the speed of a cheetah. Good times I must say. :-)
This is insanely good! I was concerned with the band pretty much broken up they couldn't reform or keep that edge but this song is right up there with BB classics!
Actually, the perfect song to listen to while playing F.E.A.R. is *_only the game itself._* This song just ruins the whole "horror" part of the game - y'know, the entire point of the game?
They didn't post this video some dude with to much time on his hands did. Your thank you is misplaced but I understand the feeling more than most. Great album takes me back to a place in time that meant alot to me.
Thank you for all the lyrics. Going to their concert Friday and this was a great way to freshen up on their new album. And some Very Good Oldies, but Goodies
Definitely my favourite song from Dark Before Dawn. Just a tiny correction - I think it's 'Release me right now' and not 'Release me, my love', but I may be wrong.
I don’t know about everyone else but I see this song as an analogy for addiction. The love in the song is Ben’s addiction. Sleeping close to heaven is how you feel when you take stuff like heroin. The chorus and bridge is Ben falling back into addiction and wanting to get away from it but is so addicted that it won’t release him. That’s just my interpretation though, I would love to hear others thoughts on it.
+GEARSofHALFLIFE RED, Skillet, Ashes Remain. All rock and metal bands, but all use their music as a message of god's love. Forget the haters, they are just blinded by false truth and outright lies.
Listen to the song people.. Someone he Loved dearly died on him and he sleeps on the edge of death (close to heave)every night close to heaven waiting to be with her
And if you don't like their opinion, you don't have to tell them they can't have their opinion. As a fellow Breaking Benjamin fan, I'd appreciate if you just keep yourself silent. Like, for the rest of your time on RU-vid.
It seems everyone with an anime/hentai obsession has troublesome lives... *cough* - Off topic, this song is fucking awesome, same with the albums AND band! Breaking Benjimine is a musical prodigy. Cheer up maggots, enjoy the tunes without thinking about the bottom of a whiskey bottle or how many of those "anti-depression" pills you can swallow at once.
+Luke Rodgers It is true songs like these and my anime obsession is do to the current situation I am facing, but it is a good message your commenting because some people just cant handle the reality of there life
Bud there’s way more than just anime hentai… comics show so much bad evil sexual desires to many, movies, Hollywood, now and days music is terrible along with many drugs, killing, raping and many addictions in this evil world… we all need to find Jesus…
