I’m all for Hakimi. The way that you dominate is by having two world class players in as many positions as possible so there is as small of a drop off as possible when you rotate. Also, Azpi is getting old, so we’ll need a new right back eventually. Hakimi has also played on both flanks as a full back and winger. It’s like saying no to signing Joao Cancelo, would be silly. He’s a very different type of player to Reece James and that’s perfect, especially since they can play in the same team. Obviously this is dependent on fee, I don’t want him if it means we can’t get Håland.

@@myearsgotyouthsystem8802 Frank refused the Hakimi deal when he was available from Dortmund last summer. He refused cause of the implications for Reece James' devt. Lampard was right I think. Reece is at least worth the same amount after his devt the last two years. If Alonso and Emerson are leaving, then Hakimi is good as an upgrade for competition on both wing back positions. Makes me wonder how much they plan to spend this summer. Cause we still need a centre back, DM and striker.

@Reuven Evreuklovic as a Chelsea fan I actually find this deal embarrassing... there’s healthy competition and then there’s doing this which is just pathetic... idc if he’s the best wing-back in the world, we’ve already got someone who can become the best right back in the world and now we’re just gonna shift him off to play as a CB to stop his development. @@SB-be1zj One can only hope they have deals lined up for Alonso and Emerson. Plus, we're playing about 65 games next year, so maybe that was part of their calculation - to bulk up the squad with quality options. If not and the calculus is that the boys coming through are not hood enough, then I think we may just miss Frank this summer. He was a passionate defender of our academy grads and he was proved right in the end. These guy got us to 2 FA Cup finals, consecutive top 4 finished and won us the Champions league. If the club learns nothing from this past two seasons then shame on them.

Very good video and significant points raised. However, I think you’ve oversimplified some of the issues. Chelsea is a big club. We need to take advantage of the market when we can. As much as we want academy players to find a place in the club, each and every one of them must prove their worth at the highest level. That means loan for at least two seasons. We as fans want to see the team win trophies and also imbibe academy players at the same time, however, the train of coaches that have lost their jobs since our first champs league win means this is not as simple as we think. The club is run on a philosophy and I think atm it works, so let’s continue to support the club esp in making such decisions. I believe the club is aware of the CF position and have a plan. Relax, they know what they’re doing.

I think this is fantastic. Reece has vastly improved his game and his performances during the season more so in the champions league final proves that he can deliver world class performances. Hahahaha 😂🤣 he has 1 Year left on his contract bro and Milan and one of the big boys in EPL are interested he is half Italian as well. so There is a reason why signing Hakimi doesn't make sense we will have to let go of a future prospect just like lampty as gone on to be one of best young RB in the EPL. I rate Hakimi but don't we have priorities the plan make sense but also PSG looks like in need of a RB more than us. Tuchel can develop him into a class midfielder. Kimmich model. James is technical enough and strong enough to play in the middle of the park. Honestly him playing Rb doesn’t utilise his talent to the fullest. Imagine putting a specimen like him in the center of the pitch to challenge players and ping the long balls like fabregas. James as a world class 6 will be more effective than him as a world class 2

Why do we think that Hakimi must play for Azpi\Reece when Hakimi can play left back as well? Hakimi provides cover for both Chilwell AND Reece. Not many players could do that. That flexibility is worth the extra fee, and supports the entire squad. You could still keep CHO in this arrangement by selling Emerson AND Alonso.

We don’t really have a backup to Chilwell that we trust. Also, if Azpilicueta and James play at the same time then you need a rotational player to back up them up as well. Hakimi could be the bridge between the academy players and Azpi’s retirement. There are very few positions that we don’t have long term solutions for. Kovacic is a better backup in the midfield then anyone we have at backup Wing back. Haaland solves the starting and depth issues we have up front. In the back 3 we are looking at some options to learn under Silva. Hakimi could be one of the few missing pieces.

If we sign both hakimi and haaland that would be a deadly right side. Imagen how good hakimi's and haaland's link was and how deadly the link between hakimi and ziyech including ziyech with reece. Reece good link with ziyech. Ziyech good link with hakimi and james Haaland good link with hakimi and every player espacialy ziyech can get a lot of assist if he has someone who knows where the goal is. Haaland in tall, strong,fast en can choose positions. I agree with haaland and hakimi. Both young and full of potential

Reece is a great RB but in attacking areas Hakimi is a level above him for sure. If we are sticking with 3 at the back having Hakimi in WB and Reece behind him in RCB would be disgusting and the perfect way to beat those defensive teams we struggle with.

There is no comparison in talent between James, Azpil and even Livramento with that of Hakimi. Hakimi is a world class phenom at his position. If Chelsea continue to play the 3 back, he's the ultimate RWB solution for Chelsea's offensive woes. If Chelsea do go to a back 4, he can play there without any real issues vs the many low blocking teams that won't offer much in way of driving forward down the left wing. This is a fantastic target for Chelsea and I really hope they land him. He's one of 4 on my summer wish list. Haaland, Hakimi, Skriniar and Locatelli are my wish lists, Gosen the cherry on top.

I agree, hakimi is amazing and I would not complain if he joined us. But livramento is there and ready to have a full season under tuchel as James back up. Would it not be more logical to give him a chance?! Tuchel is aware of livramento so I guess it would be his call, perhaps the club want them both and are selling Alonso and Emerson. Who knows but that money should be prioritised to a striker and a cdm

A good football team will normally have 2 players in each position. In a back 5 system that means 10 defenders. In a back 4 it means 8. Chelsea have 7 defenders more or less guaranteed to be at Chelsea next season. Emerson and Alonso would make 9 but their both likely to be moved on. Hakimi would make 8 defenders. We're still short for a proper back 5 system but we'll be perfect for a back 4... that is unless Tichel plans to keep a couple of young defenders too like Guei or Sarr etc.

Tuchel is a man of reason. Last season he mentioned if there were no reinforcements this season then too he'd be perfectly fine. So unless he sees these players to be extremely crucial to his grand scheme of winning the PL this year, he wouldn't bother Roman to again spill out the cash after Halaand's already hefty fee. The man won the UCL for us this year, let's be optimistic about his plans for one year at least. And though we can beat around the bush, but from 2016 till now, only the 3-4-3 system has brought us significant glory. So maybe the board accepts that the wing backs are here to stay. Lets see what happens. One thing I fear is that our PL rivals can again accuse us of buying the league if we win it this year. Anyway, #KTBFFH

Not only Hakimi is good, if he ever joins Chelsea, he's got room to become even better. His speed, youth, attacking abilities and footballing versatility on the pitch are what every manager desires in a player. I say let's sign him in.

I agree with a lot of NiiNii's points and I also really like Livermento. But on the other hand, WBs are vital in todays football and beyond our two first choice wing backs (Ben and Recce), the drop off is really significant (Alonso, Emerson and Azpi really aren't good WB options). Imagine what happens if either Ben or Recce get injured/fatigued. Remember the FA cup final with Azpi and Alonso at wingbacks a big reason why we didn't create too much. I'd love to see Livramento extend and have 3.5/4 wingbacks options of Recce (also playing RCB at times), Chilwell, Azpi and Hakimi, with Alonso and Emerson being moved on, and Azpi only featuring as RCB not as RWB. In terms of priority, I definitely agree that ST and DM are ahead of RWB and I wouldn't want us not to be able to make those signings because we've already spent our budget. On the other hand moves for those 2 positions are likely to drag out the length of the window (especially as we are going for Haaland and Rice, 2 very difficult/expensive targets to acquire). However if we want Hakimi, it looks like we need to move now as Inter are keen to get money in the bank to stabilise their finances and PSG are also bidding for him. Genuinely torn on this one, think he would be a very useful addition, but also don't want to lose Livramento or CHO because of it. Good job I'm not paid to make these decisions for the club.

Hakimi = No brainer. He's a must have for that wingback position. No offense, Reece is good, but Hakimi is a level above that attacking-wise. And it's always good to have more young competition going forward, plus he plays RB, RWB and LWB. Buying him doesn't mean Reece loses out.

It doesn't make proper sense spending 70m plus on Hakimi, when we have affordable and talented right-wing back options out there like Emerson Royal at Barcelona or Traore at Wolverhampton for like 30m max, and we also have Victor Moses who is good with experience playing at right-wing back, and we have academy prospects like Dujon Sterling and Livermento whom can all play at right-wing back.

Hakimi's a competent wingback, but his build and his game suggest he will have a very humbling first season in England, at minimum. More importantly he doesn't solve our most pressing need. Getting Hakimi is like buying posh new leather seats for a car with broken headlights.

Chelsea Management has much respect for Tuchel's choices of players requested due to what he has proven as a good Coach just at a short period of time in the Club. What has been wrong with Chelsea in the pass is making the wrong choice of players without following the instructions of the Coach. If they can listen to the Coach this time then the Fans has to allow him do his job. Stop this love for players as a person and go for their output.

I like Livramento, but you need to realize he is indeed quite young. Mount spent years at Vitesse and Derby. Reece was to POTY at Wigan. Gilmour will probably leave on loan this year. Academy graduates who play in the first team are all those who EARNED their spots. If Livramento does well in his loan spells of course he will be called up to senior squad. For now, Hakimi should definitely be our priority

I am for what Tuchel wants. I was with Lampard when we pushed for Chilwell and we won. I thought the fanbase may have Learnt their lessons by now. Send Tino Livramento on loan simple as that. If Tuchel approves it, bang on we go!!!

The Spanish giants don't have the funds why not make that position solid for the next 10 years with James and Hakimi. @@MCVSComps azpi is around 31, and that’s why he’s a back up, I’m sure he has probably 4 more years in the tank, Thiago is going to be 37 and he’s playing for us, the point hakimi would be great yes, I know this but it’s not a position we need at this moment, and if we can spend 70mill on him why not go all out and use that cash and get haaland, a position that we desperately NEED, that’s what I’m saying, we should get haaland first then maybe focus on others, don’t burn so much cash on a player we don’t necessarily need

Exactly, but the issue now is that these young players seeing their fellow graduates in the first team and they want that, which is great. But they are holding the club for ransom demanding a place or they are off. If they want what mount and others achieved then go on loan gain experience, prove urself and then come back.

Personally i can only see this coming to fruition if there is a player swap. For us to spend upwards of 70M on a RB when we have Reece and Azpi is unnecessary. Yes Azpi is slowing down now, but if that’s the problem then i think that Adama Traoré for 30-40M would be a much better option. It’s unlikely he would DEMAND first team football. He would of course want it but i feel he would know he needs to prove himself first. Hakimi is a different story, just like Timo and Kai who were not in the best form at the start of the season, Tuchel would be forced to use him to avoid embarrassment. If we can’t get Haaland, i can understand Hakimi. But if we are serious about Haaland. Go all out. I’d be happy with just seeing him as our single transfer in the summer.

If signing Hakimi at the cost of losing Livramento then it’s a pass for me. He passes the eye test and should be part of our future. Would like him and others to get a chance in pre season. Feel that Gallagher can provide that engine in midfield.

Bro Hakimi is light years better than any kid on our academy, he is even ten times better than Reece who I love a lot but when i watched him play for BVB and Inter the guy doesn't stop running for 90 min. The only one i saw match that energy and engine is Alphonse Davies in the entire planet. plus he is too young i think 22-23. I also want Reece to be RCB as he has a big body and can be physical in the air so that way he can concentrate on defending and leave the offense to someone like Hakimi who can run for days and has better finishing than Werner lol. U should do a video on Hakimi highlights.

Somehow I still prefer Traore, wouldn't mind Hakimi tough. Traore is lighting quick and also a power house with good dribbling skills feel Tuchel and having better players around him with a great coach he will improve look at Moses never tought that he would make RWB. Hakimi is more well rounded player for the right price. Adams is quicker not by s whole lot and stronger definetly stronger than Hakimi but Hakimi has a better end product at present.

If we want immediate success you can't depend academic graduate immediately. Hakimi can play lwb rwb so good. Get traore too. Right side would be on fire. James will be our rcb with azpi. Tchouameni is a must and if jorgi goes to lazio, get weigle or Camara.if we can't get haaland now we should go for data, might be cheap but good.

Hakimi is levels above Livramento and if we want to be elite we can´t wait for academy boys to adjust. Reece James could easily play RCB with Azpi as the back-up next season. Hakimi at RWB and if he has the level Livramento can be back-up to him. The idea of a right side with both James and Hakimi playing sounds amazing to me. As good as Thiago is we certainly need Christensen as well and we can hardly find a better player to rotate with Thiago at the center of the back three. No way Christensen is leaving.
