Even with a few duds it would be hard to be too depressed with a draft class with 12 picks in it.

TBH, I also would have liked to have seen a CB instead of maybe the second LB, but I think CB was hammered pretty hard and the LB cupboard was pretty bare, so not the worst.. I think we can honestly say the Packers have no real needs at this point and Day 3 will be all depth. I wouldn't be shocked to see a OL, WR, CB, DL, more LBers, and even a QB taken. With all of these players, cut down day will be interesting.

Packers response to Bears drafting (USC) QB C.Williams with the 1st overall pick? Easy... 1. Draft his backfield team mate (USC) HB M.Lloyd in the 3rd, who knows everything about C.Williams play, etc. 😆 2. Draft not one, but two safeties - in E.Williams (Oregon) in the 4th and K.Oladapo (Oregon St.) in the 5th, who collectively both played directly against C.Williams in the same conference for multiple seasons. 😌

Scratching my head at the Hopper pick, I get the depth pick, but projected mid 6th in the 3rd for depth? After we just got a 5th & 6th from the Saints? Do we have 1st graders filling in in the draft room?

the deeper we go in the draft the better i feel about picking OL in round 1. they had a feeling the guys they wanted on D would be there and looks like they were right. so taking the OL 1st freed them up to do more later.

I like the highly mobile, highly versatile, hard to predict vision Gutekunst has for this team. For me, the big don't-know about draft players is their footballing intelligence and instinct, which speed and versatility require to work fully. We saw some players like Doubs really show it on the field last season, and I hope these guys bring it too... So far so good! It's such an exciting lineup to see my first ever live home game this coming season!!

The versatility of Bullard may allow some fake looks. The 3 LBs can allow for some surprise blitz or coverage settles.

I felt the Hopper pick was a head scratcher since we need a CB, but I'm not upset with it. Enjoyed all the picks!

The only problem I have with this draft haul is we didn’t take braelon Allen. As a badgers fan I had dreams of keeping him in Wisconsin, but unfortunately they went lloyd.

I hope night 3 has more secondary picks cuz we are still a little questionable there but today's picks have me excited.

Highlights show that all these players are great at what they do.

The only issue is that we traded the pick that could’ve gotten us kool aid, and I’d bet that Cooper still would’ve been on the board when we picked next, other than that, I love it

Day 3 is where Gutey shines,I hope they can get Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee, 4.3 speed and like 7 yards a carry.

I watch these defensive guys tapes and I get extremely excited. All are high iq downhill players and we needed that attack. I’m an SC fan and stoked with picked up Marshawn he’s going to be perfect for us just watch

After picking Love, Wicks, Doubs, Tom, Jenkins, Walker, and others...I trust in the Packer staff to do the right thing. I like how they have a philosophy about who is right for the team.

Don’t love the hopper pick atm. But we already drafted 3 starters and 2 rotational/special teams in the first 3 rounds that’s a w for anyone let alone a playoff team a year ago

I don’t even like the Packers, they are one of my natural enemies as a 49er faithful. But I have to admit, this channel is entertaining.

Gute has been hitting the money and I gave Packers A draft grade so far. Morgan offers OL versatility like Jenkins and Tom (can be week 1 RG starter since I believe Walker did his thing at LT second half). Edgerrin Cooper adds sideline to sideline speed-great duo with Walker-adds speed to pass rush. Javon Bullard is a elite hybrid safety/slot (Gute wanted interchangeable and this is it- Bullard is a better fit for our defense scheme than DeJean-Bullard was phenomenal in press man in the slot at Georgia). Lloyd adds juice to the backfield and Jacobs and Lloyd can be our new Smash and Dash backfield (ball security is a must-definitely coachable). Hopper adds depth and believe it or not, he’s actually one of the top coverage LB in the draft (I understand the reach conversation but he has the speed to keep up with RBs and TE in pass coverage). I love it and excited about Day3 has to bring!

Still very worried about the defense. Switch from 3-4 to 4-3 will have growing pains big time.

Can someone explain to me why LB was our biggest need? Last I checked we have: ROLBs: Smith, Van Ness LOLBs: Gary, Enagbare And MLB Walker, McDuffie, & Eric Wilson If anything McDuffie and Wilson being the weaker links, but realistically Safety still our biggest need on paper seeing after McKinney, there's a bunch of no names like Anthony Johnson, Tyler Coyle, or Zayne Anderson..(who I believe was signed for special teams specifically..). One injury and we are down bad with lack of depth there. At least with CB there's Alexander, Stokes, Carrington, Valentine, and Nixon before we start hitting the "who are you" yearly roating fillers.

Pack is having a solid draft. Not spectacular, but solid. And slow and steady creates winners. Whole NFC North seems to be on the right track.

It would be very hard to get both Coopers in round two. The Packers would have had to sacrifice picks. And this team is thin right now with not a lot of cap room. They need bodies. Not just camp bodies, bodies bodies. The final number may be 53, but the starting number is 90. And before the start of the draft the Packers had only 73 under contract, which includes a whole bunch of guys that most of us have never heard of (e.g. quick without googling who is Gemon Green? Thyrick Pitts? Ngogu Mbwolbe? Hint - One of these three I made up).

for the most part, happiness is not a good trait after a draft, considering 80% of those picks are out of the league within 3 years. i rather rely on free agency and trades but sometimes, if your budget is not that big you have to use this tool.
