Complete training program that will help you go from complete beginner to an advanced boxer - koboxingpackage.weblium.site
There are 4 main styles and one sub-style:
Outfighter:
Usually, tall guys with good reach keep distance, have good footwork, throw light fast punches with the lead hand, and hard heavy punches with the rear hand, move in & out, mostly move backward and go forward when smelling blood. Main weakness - short-range fights. Examples: Muhammad Ali, Wladimir Klitschko
Infighter:
Usually, short guys, cut distance, have good head movement, throw well-balanced fast/hard combos on the inside. Main weakness - they always have to stay within their opponent's reach. Examples: Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier
Slugger:
Tall or short, it doesn't matter; these fighters are usually slow but have vicious power and focus on landing one heavy punch. Weakness - having troubles fighting quick boxers who make them miss. Examples: George Foreman, Sonny Liston.
Puncher:
Basically a mix of all styles. These fighters throw many fast and hard punches. Usually aggressive and get into punch exchanges. Main weakness - don’t specialize in one style and may get a lot of damage because of aggressiveness. Examples: Manny Pacquiao, Arturo Gatti
Counter-puncher:
It is the sub-style, and its techniques can be used in combination with any other style. Usually, these are not very aggressive and smart fighters who make you miss and then punish you. This style is about hitting and not getting hit, so it doesn’t have any significant weaknesses. Examples: Floyd Mayweather Jr, Saul Alvarez
Of course, everything depends on the fighter’s level, but usually:
Outfighters counter sluggers
Infighters counter outfighters
Sluggers counter infighters
Analyze your:
- Body type
- Speed/power ratio
- Temperament
- Boxing school
You can always mix styles, and you should always work not only on the strengths of your style but also on its weaknesses.

I thought I'd be an outfighter because I'm tall with very long arms, but I discovered very quickly how much power I can generate from my arms. I became somewhat of a pursuer to my sparring partners. I suppose I was very scary because I often made people run away! haha, I'd back all my opponents into the ropes and overwhelm them with my range. I learned how to counter effectively, and from there it was kind of set in stone. I became a very aggressive and punishing brawler, with a mixing style of in and out fighting. Transitioning to outfighter whenever my opponent would make range, and switching back to an brawler infighter whenever my opponent got caught up on the ropes. My head movement made it super difficult to land solid blows on me, I remember one time sparring, while dodging a straight punch, i had moved as much as I could which resulted in the punch hitting ONLY my nose! I didn't even notice it bleeding till someone pointed it out to me. Unfortunately, money situation is bad and the economy isn't great right now. So I can't go to the gym anymore I used to train at, but I really want to go back and get boxing. I really miss the sport... Combat is truly my biggest passion in life.

boxing is a big help for muay thai but you need to manage to implement what you learn here and adapt it to the thai stance, which is more square to check kicks and throw kicks and knees and clinch. i think the sideways stance can work a bit as an outside fighter but you gotta learn and use the side-teep like tawanchai to make it flow nicely or study samart payakaroon who had the perfect boxing and muay thai blend, although that's the goat, so it might be hard to imitate him :D

you can't learn martial arts through videos but from my personal experience they are a huge help. if you are passionate about your sport and watch videos like this you will catch up to people who don't do these things extremely fast. i was out of shape, never trained and just by watching these type of videos i could out strike most of my sparring partners very early in muay thai and they had been training for 1 year or more than me. you will be able to pick up stuff much faster and implement strategies that the others don't know and catch them by surprise.

With all of what you said, Andrii, here's my thoughts on what I think my boxing style would be (IF I would be one cuz' I'm still a kid lol. Hey, I'm the guy from one of your recent shorts): - For body type, I'm 128 pounds, have a pretty long reach in my opinion (I know since I suck at doing push-ups like all the other long-arm people), and I'm atleast an average height for my age. - For my speed/power ratio, I can hit both fast and heavy punches with nice power. - For my temperament, I usually doesn't want to be the aggressor and try to keep myself safe from punches while simultaneously looking for gaps and angles to throw my punches. - For my boxing school, well... I'm just a regular kid using his dad's RU-vid account who likes boxing, not a kid who devotes their entire life on boxing (Not me. I also really manga and watch anime). But, if I would guess, I would be in American or Vietnamese boxing schools, cuz' I'm from Vietnam (You can guess my username is Vietnamese), and I've been in America. With all of these in mind, my best choice (For now) would be Out-fighter (I call it Out-boxer). These are just my thoughts, and, IF my fate/destiny would be a professional boxer one day, you can give any responses on what should I improve for my boxing style (Like should I add counterpunching? Should I use other strategies perfect for an Out-fighter? Should I use what I would call variations of each boxing style like the Soviet style for an Out-fighter? Etc.) Thanks for reading this, Andrii. :)

Question for Andrii: In the Russian Soviet style, which might be found in the Ukrainian Soviet style as well, maybe, there is a small jump when transitioning between punches e.g. A jump Soviet jab then a jump when throwing the cross when executing the so called "jumping one two". My Coach thinks it is faster, more economical (less energy expenditure), and more powerful simply to throw the "normal one two" by normal I mean the short jab followed immediately by the cross also known as the "Western European one two" or "British Boxing one two". Now that I have provided context what purpose does the jumping while transitioning between punches serve that the Western one two does not?
@akhotinbxng

You can be a tall slugger. Also you can meet your opponents at the long range and use the long guard to keep them from getting close

That which controls space, both within and ring and between you and your opponent. You should always seek to dictate the range of engagement: If you have the reach advantage, keep the exchanges at long range and don't let your opponent get close so he can work in close range. control the space with lateral, horizontal and circular footwork. Master the jab and keep it versatile, it will be your bread and butter. learn to throw it hard, fast, soft, whipping, in bunches, from different angles or as a setup for your power punches. if you can jab in 6+ different ways, your opponent will not be able to read it and you will land exponentially more hits. if you have good reflexes, incorporate more head movement and counter punch when your opponent misses. if you don't, then take the hit on your guard and "follow him back" with a counter punch

I love your videos, but it needs more editing and more effects to keep in entertaining. Now I watch it just to learn but to be honest it gets boring pretty fast, you should switch up camera a angles and add some visual effects, perhaps make a joke or two also. I think if you do that you will explode in popularity.
