They just lost 2 of they're key players that got them they're championship (and Reggie Jackson). They've essentially lost their depth and need Jamal, Jokic, and MPJ to carry. MPJ is arguably one of the worse contracts right now and that leaves too much for Jokic and Jamal@@jaysontatum01
Nuggets fan here, we’re definitely screwed if we can’t find more pieces. Jokic, Murray, and Gordon can’t do it themselves. Losing KCP really hurt. Hopefully we can add klay but it doesn’t look like he wants to come to Denver. Lakers and wolves are gonna beat us next season
@@eranhasid7630 I don’t think it’s complaining really, to be fair, PG is great, a damn good player but he isn’t always consistent when you need him to be and the biggest thing is the contract. Bro gonna be making a lot of money at an older age on the back end of the deal
what the 6ers are doing makes sense from this perspective: they have to go all-in at some point while Embiid is still in his peak. this is more or less it.
@@dkdkdkdkdkdk22 You are crazy. He might be ready, but he is not KCP, he is more of a 3 or 4 than a 2. Also he is more like a soldier from 3 than a sniper that KCP is.
@@pinobluevogel6458 He's definitely not a 4 or a 3 lol. He's a guard. I have faith his shot can get better and he did a much better job at guarding Ant than KCP that Wolves series. He's an amazing connector and he would work really well in the starting lineup playing off Jokic. KCP is a better player but Braun is not far off and definitely not 22m to 3m far.
Stop blaming Tobias Harris for the SIxers problems. Yes, he had a contract that wasn't according to the value he brings. But it was not like he was actively bad. The main issues for the Sixers was first the Ben Simmons debacle, then the James Harden debacle and overall the massive injury issues plaguing Joel Embiid. Just be happy this period of preparing for championships (and almost getting close a few times) is now over and it seems like the squad is a serious roster for a contending team. The negativity on this fanbase is legendary and if anything that karma is biting them in the ass for years.
@@pinobluevogel6458he was actively bad I’ve been watching every game he’s actually garbage for his price he doesn’t even deserve what he got from Detroit
If you are a wcf team this is as easy as it can get . Clippers and gsw are going to shit Denver is not doing much without depth , suns are suns . Very important season for minnesota mavs and thunder
CP3 to SAS is a great move for both sides. I dont see CP3 getting his market value back up at his age, but i think he will play great and really enhance Wemby development.
@@ippo653 I agree but that doesn't mean he won't really enhance Wemby. I mentioned Wemby because his development is way more important to SAS than anyone else.
embiid, PG, and Maxey are not a Big three AT ALL i hate that "big 3" is so fucking common lmao relax big threes don't exists anymore. Big 3s should be like 3 players that are in the top 25 and are on the same team which no teams have
So Derrick Jones Jr, took 3 mil more for L.A., but woulda kept more money in dallas with the 27 mil deal Naji was giving cause of the tax situations in each state
I think this might be the case of Dallas really wanting to try Naji over DJJ. They are both similar in their defensive usefulness, but offer quite a bit different skills offensively.
derrick jones jr is leaving the mavericks have you seen his career before he joined the mavs ..he was benched the heat the bulls didn't use him.. because they didn't know to use his talent skill which is a alley oop scorer and he played his best basketball nba ever..speechless
This has two sides to the story. The obvious one is that any player can look great next to Luka and on a good team that is solidly built and ready for championship contention. The other one is that his former teams severely underestimated his usefulness and had no way to utilize his amazing skillsets. The Bulls in particular are known for this shortcoming in not being able to maximize a player's talent. Look at Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr. and Zach Lavine. I think DJJ took this opportunity with both hands and showed how good he can really be if given the right circumstance.
Chris Paul is not going to save the Spurs, and this wouldn't really be a good trade if they didn't just draft Stephen Castle who can now be mentored by Chris Paul.
If DJJ didn't change his agent the Mavs will definitely resign him. The reason Maverick pivoting to Marshall is because it will take 15 days to sign DJJ and they just don't want to waste time as they also try to get Klay.
Don't get me wrong I love DJJ and what he brought to last season's Mavs, but Naji is an upgrade in versatility and flexibility for sure. DJJ is quicker and way more athletic, but Naji is great passer in his own right and about as good as a defender overall. Scoring wise he also adds a bit more and he is as much as a dog as you can find in this league with his winning mentality. Same as JV, I will miss Naji. I'm starting to wonder what the hell are the Pels doing breaking down their defensive identity? They already got rid of 3 of their great defensive bench players. They really haven't made any big moves outside of signing Dejounté Murray. I like him, but the value so far doesn't add up.
@@pinobluevogel6458 don't get me wrong, I love this signing too 😂😂😂. Don't forget that we also got Grimes so we let go one good defender for 2 good defender. Now if we can get Klay then it's perfect.
@@mhqqiqin_ Love the defenders. Not sure if we should take a swing on Klay. He seems like another possible THJ, except he is slower and even less disciplined when to take his shots. He was actively bad on the warriors at times, causing them to straight up lose games. I know theoretically he should be great, getting open 3 pointers from Luka, but so should many others, including Seth Curry (who is about as good as a shooter) and THJ (who is less good but has streaky potential) .. both never really worked out, despite Curry being a decent to good ballhandler and playmaker and THJ not a totally bad defender. Klay might have more of a name, but in practice I see him as another prospect that might not even work.
@@pinobluevogel6458 but Klay is still Klay. He still avg 17 ppg on 38% 3pt shooting this season. If it's on a cheap contract (especially with his dropping value) then it's always a good risk to take. How about we do some situational case. Which player would you want to take the shot between Klay, Seth, or THJ from a 3 after a kick out pass from Luka?
warriors didnt offer that, warriors beat writer made pr piece to make warriors front office look good for fans after not landing PG, Klay leaving and missing playoffs last year
I don’t blame them…not helping their rivals the freaking warriors at all…the clips are still better than the warriors with harden and Leonard…keep the warriors mediocre
Washington is really just bringing JV on to ease Sarr into the 5 and add extra security to the front court as a veteran presence until he inevitably gets traded. And Kuz will also be traded by next summer so it's fine in the long term they'll be bad regardless this year
It is a good choice, he is a good rolemodel and teammate and can learn Sarr quite a bit. Also having a stable presence that offers consistant scoring and amazing rebounding will help this team a lot.
It was Kuminga Or one 1st , Wiggins, Chris Paul for George and Mann . Ballmer made the right decision for rejecting it . Both Wiggins and Paul are bad contract.
Thank you for the free agent round up! You’re just another example of the individual doing it better the the so called Big Networks! Keep going 💪🏾 …& a new subscriber to boot.
How this league script is set up, I wouldn't be shocked if Wemby reached round 2 of the playoffs at least. But that's with a big 'IF' CP3 can stay on the court.
Can you guys be a little more precise with your language on the aprons? There are a lot of times when I don't understand whether you mean a move will bring them into the second apron or the first, especially in rapid fire conversation. A lot of times you'll say something like, "this will bring them UP TO the first apron" or "this will cap them AT the first apron" which to me means they will not be subject to the second apron, but by context it seems like it will. Can you just say something like, "this will bring them over the first apron but below the second' or just, "this will keep them below the second apron"?
Kawhi could have been a 4 time champion by now and he chose PG over LeBron and AD. I wonder how often he wishes he just said fuck it and became the villain.
Because the Pelicans didn't want to pay him what he deserves, he doesn't fit their (desired) system very well and Washington needs a veteran to give Sarr some guidance on integrating himself in the NBA. He might not be there for long, but maybe 1 season is not out of the question, depending on how quickly Sarr develops. JV is a pro, he barely missed any games during his NBA career, I'm expecting him to be as valuable to the Wizards as he was to the Pelicans and the Raptors.
@@Petemo I was kinda joking, since Tobias Harris is the guy criticized heavily by the Sixers fans for using up so much cap space and not being as productive of a player with all that money. He is probably good enough to be on most starting lineups, but I don't think the Sixers fanbase would want him there, nor would he want to return unless he has to. I saw a title on a youtube video he has signed for Detroit, no idea if that is true, but if it is I guess congratulations are in order.
ppl hate the deal but the window is right now and next year if they can’t get it done they’ll prob move on and be stuck w a bad contract for a year or two but that’s worth it if you can get it done. i don’t think they will but it’s there best shot so i don’t mind 4 years for PG. plus i think his game might age a lil gracefully i don’t think he will fall off a cliff
I doubt the plan is to start Val and Sarr together, odds are they start the season starting Sarr at the 5, then if he's not ready you start Val, or you start Val to motivate Sarr to earn a starting spot. Either way, I expect Sarr will be the starting center by the end of the season, both probably average over 20 minutes a game while barely sharing the floor
The valenciunas move makes no sense unless he has an under the table deal with the wizards who want to move him for a pick or two. He didnt make the move for money because all reports say he could of got more, it couldnt have been for a ring or winning and it couldnt be because he wants to show off how good he could be with his own team so why do it?
Saying the 76ers backup center doesnt need to play many minutes has to be a joke. Embiid is the most unreliable when it comes to health. His backups typically need to start a bunch of games
Correct, they need someone that they know can be trusted to start about 20 games and play about 18 minutes per when he's coming off the bench as part of the regular rotation.
Great move. Grimes is a tenacious defender and in theory worse, but in practice about as good as a shooter. He gives up some experience and a bit of strength, but otherwise he is a younger, upgraded version of what THJ brings. It is sad that we barely got to see the potential in Hardaway's game. Though for his sake, in that game 4, him shooting 5 or 6 threes in a row is a much nicer way to remember him. I won't be surprised when he's going to be good at the Pistons. What do you think about it yourself?
Nuggets really should have tried to get expendable players like Vasijle micic, Vezenkov, if they where smart they'd kick the tires on trying to get a guy like THJ or take on lavines bad contract why not. Or sign the big man Wiseman and Lonnie walker
The way people talk about the NBA and especially guys with injury history, youd think that like 28 fucking teams may as well be paying nothing but rookies and vet minimums to tank, saving up for this totally real perfect star thats gonna be available very soon you guys
Sixers have a limited window with Embiid. If they win even 1 title it won't matter. If they get knocked out in the 2nd round it'll be much different. But George is a huge upgrade over Harris so I have no problem with the move and he wasn't gonna switch coasts if it wasn't a Max deal.
@@officialthomasjames I hear you, but there are comparisons: Maxey = Booker (Young star) Embiid = Durant (Injury prone bigman) PG = Beal (Overpaid and aging)
The Suns were legit good before they had Durant. But they gave up so much and didn't make solid decisions in teambuilding. The Sixers still have their defensive and offensive identity. Joel and Maxey are already amazing, Oubre was great for them and having Drummond as a backup for Joel's bench minutes makes sense too. PG slots in perfectly here, he is probably the 2nd best versatile player in the league. They have one spot left which they can fill with anyone they currently have, or trade for. This comparison is just plain bad, as the Suns broke their team, while the Sixers simply rebuild it into something better.
