So does someone that has a feel no pain against mortal wounds, does that apply to devastating wounds as well since devastating wounds convert to mortal wounds?
Potentially controversial take: I like the change to Vect, especially on the Callidus. It makes using a Callidus MUCH more delicate, but the fact that they have an uppy-downy makes them almost uniquely good at slipping into the backfield to use it on backline targets, where MOST bearers of such an ability cannot effectively so that, at least have a hard time doing so.
Great rundown of the changes. I feel like the game is starting to get overcomplicated again. I know people like to hate on it, but I had the most fun in 8th edition.
@@markhohenbrink5230 its sarcasm but its going that way. Pretty much what happens when 10th drops as a beta test... Sick of wasting money on stuff that incorrect less than 6m later
@@Infections95 Imagine writing rules then correcting them and then needing to correct the corrections, I would feel so stupid.... I think 40k rules writers need to go back to school or take night classes or something!
I run Blood Angels, I love that tank. I use 2 they're like 80% of my shooting phase. I sometimes forget they also are a transport. That's what the land raider and rhino are for.
Im sure there are quite a lot of ppl afraid to play at their local store because its a virtual guarantee that ur going to have to explain to someone why their rulebook or codex is useless and theyre trying to play wrong or a wrong army size etc
I wonder how you implement this from the faq: Q: If a unit from your army has a rule that allows it to be the target of a Stratagem, even if that Stratagem has already been used by you earlier that phase, what happens if you have not used that Stratagem yet that phase? Can you use that Stratagem atain later in the phase as a result? A: No, unless that later usage of that Stratagem also targets a unit with such an ability. I think this isin total controversy with the main rule which says you can only dbl use those abilities, which dedicatedly naming an actual stratagem, while this question is asking for the general captain / chaos lord (or tsons cabal dbl) ability, and the answer tells that sure, if both unit has the same ability. This actual faq would mean that two lord still can dbl up the same strat, and is also a controversy of the main rule.
New Lord of Deceit (LOD) aura has raised some questions regarding are Stratagems played in the aura or when a unit is in reserve Example DENIZENS OF THE WARP DAEMONIC INCURSION - STRATEGIC PLOY STRATAGEM WHEN: Your Movement phase. TARGET: One Legiones Daemonica unit from your army that is arriving using the Deep Strike ability this phase. EFFECT: Your unit can be set up anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 3" horizontally away from all enemy models. RESTRICTIONS: A unit targeted by this Stratagem is not eligible to declare a charge in the same turn. Unlike a Stratagem such Rapid Ingress that specifically says TARGET: One unit from your army that is in Reserves. A number of Stratagems use the wording TARGET ...unit from your army that is arriving using the Deep Strike ability this phase. So does the LOD increase the CP of this stratagem if the unit is set up within 12" of the LOD? Views?
A quick question that I'm curious if anyone has seen clarified somewhere: The CSM Raiders detachment, there is an Enhancement called "Mark of the Hound", which grants the bearer and his unit the Scout ability. I've seen many youtubers that say one can deploy them inside a dedicated transport (Rhino) and then scout the Rhino, but some also say that due since all character abilities are removed when one enter a vehicle, this is not the case. Has anyone seen an official ruling on this somewhere?
The entire unit inside the rhino has to have the ability. For example, you can’t have 2 legionnaire units and only one with mark of the hound inside the rhino for the scout move.
@@AdeptusTacticus that I get, but the question is if the character's ability to extend Scout to the unit is removed as he's technically not "on the table" while in a Rhino. It's that sort of sequence that is unclear.
Interesting to note that the Scout Sentinel ability to negate the -1 to hit penalty is useless for the Guard's Vehicle-based artillery that naturally hits on a 3+
@@spacemanx9595 Rules changes like this affect everyone. Say your bud comes over to play? What if he hasn't read these? What if you meet someone new at the hobby store and justs want a friendly game? Now his $70 book is invalid in major parts. I play Chaos, but rules chaos doesn't make a good game. It's crap.
@@Khorzhowhy is your rule book invalid? These changes are only for matched play. If your buddy is coming over for a friendly game, just play with the rules and points you have. If you’re competitive then this is a matter of fact you need to grow up and accept. This kind of change comes along once every six months. That is an eternity in competitive play. Casual play can completely ignore this aspect of the game.
I wish the community would but sadly to many brainwashed fools who think making changes to the changes and then correcting the corrections then making changes to the corrections is a good thing and not just low intelligence of the rules writers!
@spacemanx9595 for real, why are u in here being toxic on everyone's comments? U enjoy advertising negative things about yourself? Or do u actually think that's not what ur doing?
Okay so two adds to the Hazardous section. You can increase Battlesuits to 4 wounds with a Shield Drone and secondly, these models might not even take 3 wounds because FnP exists
