I like how Pacheco gets thrown to the ground at 17:08, but jumps up and gets out to the flat for a three-yard gain.

Pretty sure the last play is a Power Shovel RPO with Bosa as the read by looking at the o-line action.

You’re right - there’s a great Andy Reid interview with Peter King about the last play!
@montyharder3663

Yes, but the other options of throwing to the X and Y receivers, as well as Mahomes keeping it, were on the table. If Ward (7) leaves Kelce to try to take Hardman, Kelce just heads for the back of the end zone. Then Warner (54) might go after Kelce and let Mahomes walk in. Two defenders trying to stop three people isn't enough.

@@travisosheaYes, the shovel is what Bosa was taking away by crashing down so hard.

They didn't care about the time because it's treated as the first quarter of overtime, so the quarter would end and they'd swap field positions is all that happens.
@darrenmccarthy3346
@darrenmccarthy3346 6 месяцев назад
You mean if the Chiefs don’t score here, they still have a shot to win it in the next quarter ? All of us watching we’re wondering why a timeout wasn’t called ?
@FFCUltra
@FFCUltra 6 месяцев назад
@@darrenmccarthy3346 Yes thats correct. Since both teams get a chance to score or get stopped, the clock does not matter in first OT.
@montyharder3663
@montyharder3663 6 месяцев назад
@@FFCUltraYes, the rules are that OT is literally a new game, with coin toss, change of direction at the end of odd-numbered quarters, another kickoff at the beginning of 3OT by the team that didn't kick off 1OT, 2-minute warnings at the end of 2OT and 4 OT, 3 TOs per team per "half"; and if it comes to that, a third coin toss if we get to the end of all of that without either team holding a lead after the first two possessions.

They corndogged the shit out of Philly twice, and won the game here with a 3rd helping. They just totally made the SF defense melt away. It was brilliant.

23:45 Andy Reid and company know the postseason overtime rules, given that the 2022 revision was a result of KC's divisional playoff versus Buffalo. The game clock *_cannot_* end the game in overtime during the postseason. Had the game clock reached zero in this game, the action simply would have switched to the other end of the field. Under postseason overtime, expiration of the game clock simply indicates the end of the 1st overtime quarter. Given that KC was still on its 1st possession (which is guaranteed by the postseason overtime rules), KC would have maintained possession at the other end of the field, and the game would begin a 2nd overtime quarter until KC's 1st possession is over. Had KC only been able to tie the game with a field goal, the game would have continued in sudden death. To review, the game clock under postseason overtime rules is simply there to indicate an overtime quarter. If the game clock expires in overtime during the postseason, the teams simply swap which end zone that they are defending respectively, just as they would at the end of the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter of each game during regulation.
@portlandaustin
@portlandaustin 6 месяцев назад
So much here is just wrong. The game clock can end a post season game as soon as both teams have finished their first possession. Also I don't know why the tie thing was brought up. As soon as KC started their first possession they were down 3 points.
@oubrioko
@oubrioko 6 месяцев назад
@@portlandaustin wrote: *_" The game clock can end a post season game as soon as both teams have finished their first possession"_* Absolutely _wrong_ *NFL Rule 16:* OVERTIME PROCEDURES *Section 1, Article 4(d):* "If the score is tied at the end of a 15-minute overtime period, *or if the second team’s initial possession has not ended, another overtime period will begin, and play will continue, regardless of how many 15-minute periods are necessary."* Given the above, the game clock can NEVER *_end_* a postseason NFL game during overtime under the current format. A postseason overtime game ends on a qualified winning scoring play, or a failure to convert by the trailing team during their first possession. The game clock doesn't end the _game,_ it ends the _quarter._ A tie was referenced because KC could have chosen to attempt a field goal if they had failed to convert on 3rd and 1 from the SF 32-yard line @2:07 OT, or if (hypothetically) KC had failed to score on 3rd-and-goal. A successful field goal in either of those situations would have tied the game, and the game would have continued. If you insist on going around _correcting_ people, you at least ought to have the common courtesy of being _correct_

Would adding the players names and numbers on screen help cus he’s calling out every player by name so knowing the chiefs player names it’s pretty easy to follow but i would guess not knowing their names would make it where you don’t know which player he is talking about.
