On Sept. 17, 2024, WE ACT for Environmental Justice teamed up with Earthjustice, League of Conservation Voters, University of California's Hastings College of Law, Western Environmental Law Center, and the Wilderness Society for a webinar detailing the environmental and environmental justice concerns surrounding Senator Joe Manchin and Senator John Barrasso’s Energy Permitting Reform Act of 2024. Participants included: Moneen Nasmith, Senior Attorney, Earthjustice; Justin Meuse, Government Relations Director, The Wilderness Society; John Leshy, Professor Emeritus at University of California, Hastings College of Law; Dinah Bear, Former CEQ General Counsel; Leslie Fields, Chief Federal Officer, WE ACT for Environmental Justice; Matthew Davis, Vice President of Federal Policy, League of Conservation Voters; and moderator Erik Schlenker-Goodrich, Executive Director, Western Environmental Law Center.
