The show is over, but the work is NOT. I'm taking you behind the scenes as we break down the display garden and say goodbye to the 2024 show. I'll reveal a few little tools we use to help bring the show to life and the heavy-lifting workers who make this show happen. It truly cannot be done without an army of support. We are so grateful to you all!

Thanks for sharing! I have been watching your videos since Janey featured you on her channel. Those videos were so fun and inspiring! I also get so excited about plants. Yesterday we had a record high of 71 in southern Wisconsin and a low of 12 last night so our weather is crazy! I have a grow rack in the basement filled with newly sprouted ranunculus and anemones. On the second floor grow room, I have a few hundred lisianthus that I started on January 1st as well as snapdragons, pansies and stock. Last fall, I planted 2,826 tulips, 165 daffodils, 82 hyacinths, 50 leucojum and also allium around our country garden. I watched your presentation at the show and agree that bulbs are so important in the garden. I also agree that allium are underused. In prior years, I really went big on them with Ambassador alliums which bloom very late and hold their color so well. When I plant during the spring and summer season, I come across puschkinia, crocus, scilla, chinodoxa and grape hyacinths bulbs that have multiplied. Those are kept in the garage and replanted in the fall and there are thousands around the property. We had some crumbly poplars removed after Christmas and between snowfalls, I spread the beautiful woodchips (2 truckloads, about 40 yards)by wheelbarrow on our garden pathways. So even, in a cold climate, one can garden year round. Those who work with you are fortunate because of your energy and enthusiasm! I look forward to more videos from you with spring approaching!

71 as a high?!? Wow! We're still hovering in the high 30's here in Seattle... I can't wait to see everything start warming up a bit! Thank you for watching!

My goodness! What a giant job! You've got to love what you do to work that hard. Very interesting to watch. Where do the gorgeous trees go?
@HelloGarden
@HelloGarden 7 месяцев назад
Oh I absolutely adore what I do! And great question. If you go back and watch my Marathon Shopping video, you see the nursery I borrowed the trees from. It's called "Big Trees". When The show wrapped, they returned to the nursery where the owner will nurture them for the next year and then they'll be ready to be sold to the public.
