Shar was born and raised in New Jersey and has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse since she was 18. She spent years doing heroin and other hard drugs on and off, and once she got clean from heroin, began drinking heavily. After spending many years running her life into the ground, she ended up in California in June of 2023 for treatment. This not being her first time in treatment, she knew what she had to do and took off running to do it all, desperate to finally find a way out after hitting a gnarly bottom.
She's always had a dream of doing something that would help people with substance abuse and mental health issues. Now that she's sober and working a solid program, she has begun to apply for school to work in drug and alcohol treatment, so she can help other people get sober and prioritize their mental health as well.
