Wonder why nobody is using imodium if it works like you say it does. Did you not struggle with constipation issues?

@@limayaden8458 if you are already strung out on opiates your body is already adjusted to the constipation issues. One of the unpleasant effects of withdrawal is diarrhea. You get the "squirts". Doctors and clinics don't want you to be able to treat yourself. (No money for them) Also liability for them. I told a doctor about using imodium and he smiled and said that he knew about it, then he told me that there is a blood pressure medication that also works. He would rather see a person have to see a "medical " person for treatment. Again, they lose money if you can do it on your own. And again, they could be liable and face the rath of their peers and medical industry. Some people call imodium "poor man's methadone". I would have to say generic imodium saved my life! I didn't have cravings, physically or mentally! If you know someone who is struggling with opiate dependence, you might save their life!

I have a one year naltrexone implant. I’ve had 4. I swear by them.

I didnt find the entirely true in my case i think there some correlation with the opiod receptors becoming free as serum concentration goes down... The implant keeps a constant serum concentration while the oral form goes up and then down as time progresses.. Im using the oral form 20 mgs morning and during the night and early morning next day will i take the tablet the cravings do increase..so the cravings have to do with the upregulated receptors becoming free

So correct me if I’m wrong but the shots you give only block the receptors but the unpleasant torture that i feel will still be present ???

Well naltrexone blocks the receptors so it reduces cravings nicely. By itself it cause no symptoms at all, but If you are not fully detoxed before starting it then you will get severe w/d.

That's exactly what he said. Get a second opinion. This guy is steering people to a world of pain and self doubt.

Wrong! Naltrexone is to opioids what jail is to a career criminal. You could handcuff an opioid user to his bed and get the same effect as naltrexone according to his theory. Cravings are only reduced, medically, by medication specifically designed to reduce cravings, like bupronephrine. If your doctor tells you that naltrexone is the primary compound to reduce cravings, then get a different doctor who isn't full of s--t. I'm on Suboxone, (which I don't like) and it works because of the bupronephrine, not the naltrexone. The naltrexone is only relevant because it prevents the abuse of Suboxone by injecting it. The naltrexone keeps me from adding opioids to the mix because it would be a waste of time and product but it doesn't contribute, at all, to the diminished cravings. It doesn't bolster my willpower. It only serves as a deterrent, like jail to a career criminal. You don't have to trust me, but you should get a second opinion before trusting this guy.
