It's a mess if Hunter cannot anchor. I believe in Malbz raw skill to carry him where ever they put him. Could have my head in the clouds, but I believe.
Malbs was hyped up a couple years ago and than went to teams to play anchor/not his typical roles and didn’t play well. He’s only came back because m80 gave him his preferred roles…. It only works for malbs if he gets star roles he’s not an anchor
If hunter cant anchor with so much experience he is next to be replaced. Also he aint the same hunter from csgo, so role swap might actualy work for him.
Then he should get kicked. Hunter gets a lot of say in G2(god knows why), he was one of the people who was against the aleksiB move and also very much involved in getting jks kicked. Guess what G2 needs right now, a passive anchor and a real IGL, who need not entry. (Exactly jks and aleksiB). This guy has had it his way for such a long time, so now if he can’t anchor, then he should get kicked. Also, if he still gets his spots and the new guys have to adjust. Then why the hell did you get them. I don’t know why G2 is sucking up to this guy like he is a top 5 player. The guy isn’t even top 20.
@@singh9418 There are more reasons for Aleksi being kicked. He mainly used Monesy as a support awper kinda like Device and not a S1mple and thats a mistake and was even in the beginning of Monesy career
@@ne0n_idiot143 Definitely, Snax definitely knows his place within the fragging hierarchy (he's last), so he would of cos give up most of the positions to Niko and Malbs, Hunter would sacrifice less but still giving up some roles to malbs.
Did G2 need a change? Absolutely, was this the right one? I don't know, only time will tell, but like stated in the pod, the downfall will be role issues in this case
I would argue that, for the size of the org, this is never an acceptable change. Same for Liquid. They have too much money, oftentimes that they've spent on far worse ideas, to justify either not planning ahead and building a strong team or not spending the necessary amount to get strong players.
I think it was after Anonymo team that Snax was asked by G2 to be igl, and he declined, saying that he was not ready at that point. That was few years ago. I think Snax will be good addition.
Does no one think it was a better idea that g2 keep hooxi niko monesy as core toss hunter got malbs and perfecto would've been better than this, unless hunter would igl
I agree with you, but the problem is the connection between Niko and hunter makes hunter almost irreplaceable when it comes to g2 roster moves. Hunter averaged a 1.04 rating in 2024 playing the star rifled role, which is unacceptable for any tier 1 team. But as they previously said, if niko went to falcons hunter would’ve left, and same way around, if hunter got kicked niko ain’t staying either.
Hunter has underperformed all of cs2. It was only in dallas where he put up decent impact. He was an obvious candidate to be replaced. But looks like nepotism is gonna cost Niko another year with no major.
Unless snax is dumb he needs to bring back mirage and start leaning into the fact that they have 2 of the best fraggers on the planet as well as malbs raw aim and hunter who is super reliable. This team has insane fraggers even with snax igl. They need to take advantage of
So if this line up doesn't work, -Snax and Htr Yes? Hunter has been the weakest link of the big 3 and Snax is 2024 snax. and if Niko goes on to leave with htr... do you potentially make M0nezy dream team to make him happy? +b1t +Perfecto +Fear (When hes ready) +Electronic/Boombl4?? (Idk who will cover main entry roles) and obi if Niko ends up staying B1t Fear Perfecto M0nezy and Niko ?
People treat this as if players aren't allowed to play different positions. How the hell do you go pro if you are going to drop off if you play one new role? Yes, specialization is how you get to the top in a pro setting, blah blah. But y'all treat it like players are going to become silvers if they switch positions.
One thing nobody's mentioning is that the CT side is just half of a CS2 game ... If G2 can win 12 rounds on the T side, they'll be just fine :D Wich was kinda what they were doing or trying to do before anyway ... their CT sides was pretty shit even with jks ...
@@ikillgiants9268 Niko did even better in his only tournament as an IGL ... and Niko was pretty bad as an IGL in the past ... it's how the team is built .. it's all firepower oriented ... wich makes their T side so much better than CT side where players playing in their preferred positions is much more important than anything else (look at Hooxie CT side and you'll see how shit it was for the same reason, even with jks) ... Hooxie's T side calls were good but were all based on some quick opening kills wich is what firepower helps with ...
This obsession with G2 is starting to get weird... From downplaying their wins to having full on single topic podcasts dedicated to them... Am I missing something because the only time I remember them doing a single topic pod was when Device left Astralis and signed with NIP
"obsession with g2" i agree. I notice SOME of these gurus/commentators like to give their full fledge unfiltered opinion & then say "ohhh I still hope they prove me wrong" disclaimer just incase what they are saying now with full confidence doesn't play out in the future.
I think a lot of the obsession with g2 comes from the fact that niko has never won a major and he's probably in his last years to do so, I also think part of it is m0nesy is a massive prodigy and people want to see him win.
Cs is an awp and 4x riflers anyway. When did igl start being an excuse for being trash. 😂. This 5 role thing is bs. Awp, 3x riflers and an igl who should be able to rifle. So 4x riflers. Fckn anchor, entry, support are not roles they are all riflers. And entry fragger??? Awpers always get the entry anyway. S1mple #1 1st kills in the game, how many of those got his team into a site. Stupid analysts.
