Let's be honest. This whole situation is messed up. If this were last year and JT was coming off two back to back big performance seasons, I'd say write that man a check, but we're not talking about that JT. We're talking about a JT plagued by injuries and lackluster performances in 2022-23. From the Colts' (not Irsay's) standpoint, JT is a huge question mark. Is he going to be the same caliber running back that he was prior to last season? The only way to know for certain is to see him run drills in practice sessions, which he has yet to do this year. I think JT's best option is to get over his injury, suit up, and ride this season out. Who knows, maybe the Colts will offer an extension, or at the very least, other teams will see what he's capable of when he enters free agency.

I wouldn't pay him. You don't act this way when you are injured, and he looks very injured. He knows that he is hurt and is looking to cash out before his career ends due to injury.

The best RB the colts ever had and they treat him like crap. One ankle injury for a young RB isn't crap. Boycott the team until they resign him.

That had been the dumbest statement I've heard this year, he said. For some reason, the colts have yet to offer. Johnson Taylor any money right after explaining how Johnson Taylor has been her for almost 2 years, had a surgery that takes 2 weeks to heal from 8 months ago and is still hurt. But I have no idea why they have an offer. In 20 million dollars for that 1 good season, he had 3 years.

Y'all dont know what your talking about.. If JT passing his physical he will be on the field. JT is wanting a contract nearing 16 million. This , when the going price for RB's is half that. Secondly, who the hell ask for a raise and an extension while injured? The Colts pretty much are in control. They can franchise player him for the next two years. Either he plays for his 4+ million this year and 10+ million next or he sits and don't get paid along with paying hefty fines for not participating. His choice..

You don't give an extension for things you accomplished in the past, it's for what you can offer in the future. Until that ankle is 100%, he doesn't deserve an extension, and no team will trade for you if you can't pass the physical.

“We negotiated…” is silly. The owners locked the players out and stole money. Most of the current players in the league never agreed. Time for positions to gang up and do a week 8 walk out.
