Frankly, as a doctor who had it all, he should have known better than to risk heat stroke in the high heat.

Sounds very strange to me, from the height of the pathway it seems houses and safety can be seen so why would you keep walking away? You would expect a doctor to be aware of the dangers of heat and of no phone for emergencies? Strange indeed.

He went missing for 5 days and eventually found 260ft away from the resort. This is sad.

The "island investigation" may or may not be the truth. But, the most likely explanation is that he was suffering from heat stroke and/or a cardiac arrest. Taking a long hike alone in a remote and unfamiliar area is foolish for anyone but certainly not safe for a 67 year old. He was too confident in his own fitness. But life is about quality not quantity. I hope that he went quickly and peacefully.

Mosley was aged 67. No sensible Medical Doctor would go cross country walking during a heatwave with inappropriate shoes , holding a broken rain umbrella, with no water to drink and no phone. Why didnt his wife stop him ?

He was a health guru. If anyone knew about hydration, heat and electrolytes it was him. Beach to Pedi is an easy path. I'm familiar with it. When he got to Pedi he just needed to go to Symi Town. I wonder why he didn't get a bus or a taxi from Pedi back to his hotel ? seeing he felt ill and it was so hot. But he carried on by foot in the complete opposite direction.
