I have just finished watching the Netflix movie "Hillbilly Elegy 2020" based on JD Vance's book/autobiography. To my surprise it was very inspiring. Similar to the way Volodymyr Zelenskyy TV Drama "Servant of the People 2015" changed my view point on Ukraine. I can see JD Vance and Volodymyr Zelenskyy getting on very well together. I just have to reconcile the vision of JD Vance behaviour in the US Senate to the autobiography. Or, why JD Vance is so much against the US helping Zelenskyy. JD Vance does not appear to be a TRUMP Junior, a Yes man or narcissistic. More a deplorable makes good story.

Marco Rubio as a VP pick poses the problem that both he and Trump are Floridians. Simililarly Gavin Newsome and Kamala Harris are Californians. One of the few preclusions around the Presidency is that VP pick cannot be from the same state. Clearly there are provisions for changing your nominated state, as it was joked that Trump might take the p@ss out of Rubio by choosing him and then forcing him to change state, which would be deeply humiliating as a sitting senator from Florida and being a proud native of Cuban heritage where they form a large constituency.

Your other criticisms stand but in the case of the focus on the arrangement of JD Vance's profile with putting Christian first I think it's very weak to focus on it as an area of criticism/suspicion. If you speak to Gregg Terry or Professor Gerdes about it I'm sure they'd say that Christianity is the most important thing in their life too and at the end of the day it's just an arrangement of words and something has to come first. Well i said it was odd pick, safe pick, maybe they saw something internally in the campaign that i missed.... hes only 39, so he has more appeal with younger voters, one demographic both Biden and Trump are struggling with.. Atlanta, Georgia a semi democrat metro in a usually republican state, that Trump lost in last time, leads big time in now, but just watched several news reporters walking the street getting reactions and most seem to be very happy with the pick... can call him MAGA, can call him conservative... i dont agree with some of the things Trump has said about Ukraine, Vance has been far more vocal about it, so definitely wouldn't agree with him... good thing he is the pick for VP and not the actual policy maker.. he is fairly popular bc he is a big proponent of take care of domestic issues first then who or whatever else and that is a huge point in the election... its not just 1 issue, its a collective of issues tawain, Ukraine, Israel, etc while several big domestic issues have been ignored or gotten worse.. so that is a big movement in this election and he fits right into that, so maybe it was a safe and smart pick... i still think Putins ego will make Trump mad and push him to help Ukraine... as long as he in engaged in the situation there is hope, the real problem is if they just began to ignore it and walk away completely.
