Capitalism is at fault with so many things in society. Replace or evolve that into everyone benefiting instead of a tiny minority of morbidly wealthy that pay people below them millions to spout their lies. We could already live in a world with no money, class or poverty but we don't because alot of us have grown up believing the opposite. We know free markets don't work and are controlled by the wealthy, we can't have modern kings and queens called ceos that effect the lives of so many at an instance with no remorse. People in the future will look back on our society like we do with the dark ages, as horror and disgust due to most of society having to work to live and survive because a tiny class of morbidly wealthy took too much profit they deemed fair and lived life to the fullest. Right wing economics since the 1980s have made this possible but Capitalism as a whole was never the answer even from 1932-1980 but it did work better for alot of society than it has since 1980 to today.

I respect EVGA for doing this. Honestly, I think this is a great move, as you mentioned, they did some amazing things with making GPUs in the past, and it shows how creative EVGA and their staff is, yet NVIDIA took that creativity away from their partners. Moving forward I think this will make EVGA design incredible things in the future. EVGA has the best warranty of any GPU maker and as others mentioned, this was the ONLY company during the shortage that did everything in their power to keep their prices down and to make sure everyone was able to get a GPU using their query system. @willembielefeld712 Год назад
AMD already had its chance and ruined it. Their own type of dlss is not that great which is the reason, why nvidia still has a virtual benefit of 50% more performance with almost no quality loss. AMD also increases prices and their cards run hot and considering toms hardware benchmarks the energy consumption of amd gpus is still much higher. Amd's quality is also just way to bad. Every amd gpu i had in the past just burned after one year. They were all loud, hot and died. My nvidia cards all ran for several years no prob. Honestly, i don't trust amd anymore. I wish they could compete, but at the moment i don't want to buy any gpu. Neither from nvidia, nor from amd. With amd i have to buy a new card after 1-2 years because it will break and with nvidia i pay double the price. In a way they are still equal, even if amd's prices would be half the price of nvidia. That is the reason, why they cannot compete. They need a better Ai upscaler, less energy consumption, less heat, less noise and their cards must have a longer lifetime. But this won't happen i guess. Marketing says their new architecture design would be better than nvidia but i think this is just sht talk. There is no evidence, that their architecture is really better. It is just different and it is said to be more scalable. But i doubt nvidias chip design is not scalable. If amds design would be so much better, then why are their cards not performing better? Another issue is the raytracing api. For whatever reason nvidias raytracing performs MUCH better than amd's raytracer. I don't know why, i guess they are both just using the directx raytracing but maybe the graphics cards of nvidia translates the api better internally. I could imagine amd has a good chance on the low to mid price market. But if rtx4080 will be available and not too expensive, they won't stand a chance next year.

EVGA has been one of if not the MOST trustworthy company to do business with for the last few years. They implemented their own queue system so that we could get hardware at a fair price and without bundling unnecessary hardware that had a propensity to catch fire unlike some other businesses. When New World was killing cards, they didn't hesitate to warranty out those cards for the customers. When given a choice, I always try to get parts I need either directly from EVGA or a dealer. How have they stood with their customers? They were one of the first AIBs to hike their prices up because they saw demand outstrip supply. They fully took part in the price gouging of the last couple of years and profited heavily off of it. They're now complaining that they're feeling the aftereffects of the market correcting itself back to sane levels again. They rode the hype train and overpromised investors thinking that 2x+ MSRP was going to last a lot longer than it did and then the crypto mining bubble busted and inventory quadrupled nearly overnight tanking GPU prices. They were even able to complain to Nvidia to slow down release of new stock to help artificially keep prices higher than they should which in the end, is to help the AIBs and not Nvidia. Nvidia makes a set amount per unit and it's actually in their best interest to flood the market because of their per-unit price based on whatever contract they hold with their customer. Nvidia as a component supplier makes their profits by volume. While I'm not a fan of Nvidia or AMD, it doesn't mean I'm naive to think some other multi-billion-dollar corporation isn't mystically out to not enrich itself as well. All of the AIBs jumped on the price gouging hype train to record profits and are now taking a beating because the orders they put in during the shortage in light of the overpriced units has come in and is driving prices down due to a glut in new supply relative to what supplies were 2 years ago. They were even able to get their key supplier, Nvidia, to control and limit shipping to all other companies in order to keep prices somewhat up purely to their own benefit. People a week or two ago got pissed and Nvidia for saying that they were doing this instead of getting mad at the AIBs who all pushed Nvidia to do it to save their own asses. The AIBs can't just stop cold turkey to kill off supply because they'll just lose sales to another AIB who will refuse and will sell at a loss just to move stagnant inventory. Thus, they begged Nvidia to slow sales overall which forces all AIBs to lower production and so none of the others gets an advantage.

I liked and trusted evga so much i replaced the ford sticker on my suburban with its case tag. I didn't consider anyone else for my power supply. They are very trusted, best wishes and i look forward to supporting their future efforts.

For those around during the 3dfx days will remember once 3dfx started selling their own cards and eliminated the partners, that is when 3dfx went down hill. Don't underestimate the power of competition.

That was my first thought. EVGA leaving will probably be the start of Nvidia losing all their other partners.

Precisely. I've been debating about doing a complete system overhaul, and while I team green may have the better product currently, I won't spend my money with someone who behaves this way. I guess AMD for me! And I have a feeling I'm not going to be alone in that...

@@Lucifaar I have a feeling Nvidia is trying to go for the Apple model of complete vertical integration. When you look at it, they're very much alike, there's a reason they haven't played nice with each other. I hope EVGA finds a way to work with AMD beyond just motherboards, an EVGA RDNA3 or 4 GPU would be awesome.

Diamond Monster 3dfx ! Voodoo graphics lol! yeah, 3dfx went down quickly. This makes Nvidia look very very bad. I'm not camp anyone but have bought more Nvidia vs Amd over the years. Now, hmm. I certainly wouldn't be buying Nvidia stocks right now.

True, Nvidia is not the first one to sit on the top of the graphics card market, only to throw it away for greed.

Always trusted EVGA for PSUs and I got my first GPU with them with my current 3070 and I'm loving it so far. Shame to see them go, but I'm hoping they can still maybe make cards for AMD and not leave the GPU market entirely. Their customer service and products are top notch and it would be awful to see them go from this market.

@@renatatostada3318 Same here. First EVGA PSU I bought was a G2 1300W, which was massively overkill for what I needed, but it's been going strong with the friend I sold it to, mining at almost full capacity for the last 2.5 years (I bought it in 2015, so it's not new) without breaking a sweat. For my current system I went with a more sane G3 850W, again EVGA. And let me tell you, I've pushed my 5900X to use up to 210W of power (I settled on 180 due to thermals) and my 6900XT to 400W. I've seen people with similar systems tripping OCP and stuff on other brands' 1000W PSUs, but mine has never even flinched. I've measured a peak of >800W from the wall, and it still never gave me any problems. For PSUs I always suggest either EVGA or Seasonic (Seasonic is the GOAT, but they are pricey) to friends or family that ask me what to get. That said, my dad got a Be Quiet 550W and it seems like a solid unit, so they're probably good too.

AMD CPUs have been good for gaming since the Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series. Ryzen 2000 was a bit below Intel in gaming, Ryzen 3000 was roughly the same as Intel, and the newest Ryzen 5000 series basically beat Intel in gaming back when it released and was way more power efficient too.

Almost the same. Every card since the 8800GTS back in 2008 has been an EVGA card for me. I only buy NVidia. What pisses me off here is I'm an Elite EVGA member. I was hoping to get the 4080/4090 using my EVGA Elite membership to jump in the front of the line. That's all gone now. Fuck.

I respect EVGA, even in Asia, which is not their main market, the customer service and warranty policy were great. It made me feel like I am respected and supported when I bought their product. I got my first EVGA in 2015, works well until now. This breakup is a huge loss for customers like us, not for greedy, monopoly NVIDIA

Sad to hear this news but also makes me respect Evga even more. My first Nvidia graphics purchase was an Evga 9800 gtx+, I loved the card so much, even still have it to this day, and have only purchased Evga since then, including recently their 3070 ftw3 ultra. I wish Evga the best and hope they are around for another 22 years!
