Zema Noru I saw an episode of “Escaping Polygamy “, where Suzette was trying to locate her 2 oldest daughters. It was quite sad. She hasn’t returned to the FLDS faith, but she has reclaimed her home in Colorado City. She is completely ostracized by the community. She’s such a strong woman.

This woman who chooses to live with the anguishing heartache of her love and her children’s love not enough, the loss of her own religion apparently still held. Yet, her anguish is different from mine: her expectations were set to this possible outcome. How different these configurations around grief! Her daughters tell us a lot as they evolve. I'm confused about the father choosing the religion over his family. Wasn't he kicked out? Do they let a man back in but not the wife or did he ditch them? It sounds like these men made a convenient rule book on how to legally control and abuse the women and children.

These are not real Mormans like she said its a fundamentalist group. They have them in all regions, real latter day saints are lovely normal people who don't believe in polygamy anymore. Not having polygamy and ceasing underaged brides are some of the main things Mormons did that separated them from FLDS. The believe and influence to follow what their prophet says is still the same in both religions. i think the kids will be fine...the mother will be the one who struggles with it. I just hope the church NEVER changes its mind and asks her & the girls to come back because i think the mom might possibly do it. even if the kids didnt want to. she would force them to go with her..
well would you still say that if it was one wife with multiple husbands? lol Not all polygamist life styles are bad. For hundreds of years the native american indians would sometimes have more than one wife in the teepee. many times it was a sister & her children of the first wife. If her husband were killed her brother in law would take her as second wife. It was how they took care of those women & kids in the tribe who had lost their husband/father.
