Fun fact. Eggman actually does care for Metal but in a greatest creation way. He's the only robot Eggman is willing to go out of his way to repair when damaged, most of the others he simply replaces, because Metal is so advanced it is easier to repair him them to replace him. When comes to what's important to Eggman the order goes 1: Eggman himself. 2: Whatever the current scheme is. 3: Metal Sonic.

I love the detail the metal sonic voice becomes more ‘human’ as he talk more.

i doubt metals pride would ever have him stop trying to be only blue blur on the block but a friendly rivalry seems pretty close to something he'd do

Sonic tries this in IDW comics. Recovers Metal after a huge fight with him, and has Tails repair (but de-weaponise) him. Attempts to make a truce. Doesn't expect them to be friends, just wants Metal to be free to make his own choices.

This is better then what happened in IDW

The reason Metal Sonic can’t beat the real Sonic is because it’s the rarest 1v1; he’s being ganged up on most of the time. Metal can win if it was just him as shown in the OVA anime movie.

If metal was in his neo form, sonic would’ve been fuqed

Not gonna lie I hate that in the IDW comics they gave the whole "Sonic robot that turns good" thing to Mecha Sonic (from Sonic 3&K) instead of Metal. Okay Mecha Sonic was cool but he had like no personality when in comparison to Metal who has always had slight hints of having a personality and potential to become good. Also I doubt this comic will ever have a part 2 since its not been updated since 2021 and the artist has just vanished off the face of the earth.

I like this sonic voice. Metal however......

The series isn’t being worked on currently from what I’ve seen. The last part was uploaded around last February

A Metal going this route works, but personaly I'd prefer such takes on Metal to not go the same route as Shade the Metal. He'd really just be another "Sonic" Like Yeah Shade is cool, but it's not a Metal I'm too fond of.
