- More info, including written versions of the fusion paths, is in the description - All gameplay footage is on Merciless - Idk why I did more damage to the Holy Grail compared to Michael, buffs/debuffs were the same. Edit: So I found out later that the Holy Grail has a lower defense stat, though it always felt harder to damage before... weird Timestamps: 1:52 Almighty (Picaro) 3:11 Almighty (Normal) 3:53 Elemental (Picaro) 5:30 Elemental (Normal) 7:13 vs Vanilla P5 Final Boss
I have a question about the game if Level correlates to damage cause right now I’m level 20 on normal and with heat riser and Concentrate plus the 200% damage boost I can’t one shot the reaper so that’s why I’m wondering if damage is based on level
@@ARZ_201 the discussion is as old as persona 5 itself. Protags in power: 1. Makoto(Universe Arcana) 2. Ren (World arcana) 3. Yu (World arcana) Yes, Yu is apparently the weakest of the three. Why? Very simple. Ren and Yu both have the world arcana. They can both have izanagi no okami with joker having a slightly stronger Picaro form. And no, don't try the argument "but then Ren should beat Makoto as well that makes no sense!". It does make sense. Ren is weaker than Makoto because he doesn't have the Universe arcana (so no Armageddon). That means he's stronger than Yu, but not stronger than Makoto. And yes, the DLC personas can be considered canon because of the "picaro" forms. These are created specifically to be Ren's versions of the personas of old protags. So we can't really say they are just for the gameplay (Fanservice in a way). Because Ren legitimately has them. He can fuse them, he has his personal versions of them (picaro) and he even has special voicelines when using their signature moves. The personas even have unique dialogue when he fuses them. They are for all intents and purposes personas he could use against Makoto or Yu. Teams: 1. Phantom Thieves 2. S.E.E.S 3. Investigation Team That's kind of an easy one. If you would put the 3 teams against each other without their leaders it'd be a fairly obvious win for the Phantom Thieves. The Phantom Thieves have several members with personas that can keep up with self made personas from the protagonist. They're already generally stronger and if you add Akechi and KaSumi there's not much room for discussion left. If you believe that Akechi is a wild card it's pretty much a no contest situation.
Dennis Leonardo I get your point. I said minato is the strongest. Also I’m pretty sure the picaros are just fanservice. It doesn’t make sense why akira would have access to them unlesss Igor or lavenza gave him access to them. Yu and Minato did not have access to each other’s main persona. The only other one that has access to Orpheus is Aegis. Plus they are DLC. For it to be canon it would have to be in the main game or we would have seen it in the anime. Unless the creator shows a way that akira has access to them I don’t think it’s canon.
Will it be a 7 hit all elemental/almighty gunshot or a single ultra damaging almighty attack(like the OG Freikugel)? God, why is there no Freikugel in persona...?
@@RedDrake110The strongest single hit single target Almighty skill is Akechi’s Rebellion Blade which is Colossal damage and it does almost as much damage as Myriad Truths. Realistically, Sinful Shell should be even stronger than that.
Joker: Have you ever heard the sound of yourself getting one shot by a godslayer, no? Anything in the game: Nuh-uh Izanagi no Okami: *WOULD YOU LIKE TO*
The only bosses that aren't a complete joke are maruki, which is still much easier, just not killed in 5 turns when taking account of several phases due to the tendrils, unlike something like yaldaboth. Lavenza is the only boss that actually(supposedly I never fought her yet) that has an almighty resistance and enough hp to be not wiped across the floor.
I'm glad that izanagi-no-okami is dlc honestly Edit: just to clarify what meant is just persona is so much more fun when you use personas that are the same level as you and you have to think what moves to use and boy just press myriad truths every time there's enemies on screen.
I understand where you come from. But gatekeeping it with day one DLC with ATLUS already known for scummy DLCs isn't cool either. Don't get me wrong Persona 5 Royal is a wonderful game with hard work put in but I think those DLCs not and it isn't okay like this. I have no intention in supporting such practices tbh.
@@SavagePatch115 I'm actually doing that with an almighty build right now on merciless. Just beat Okumura's palace and I've beaten every palace so far in one day.
Oooh, here's an idea. What if, in Persona 6, rather than DLC, you can get these Personas another way? My idea is for them to allow us to fight imprints of left behind by previous guests, like the DLC fights, except instead of downloading them you can fight them without DLC, but only in NG+, and defeating them nets you the ability to fuse their Personas.
I’m not ashamed to admit it, I had a good run in my first play-through up until Okumura’s Palace, I got so pissed that I had to use No-Okami Pic. I hated the robot phase.
Okumura is the only story fight in the game where you are actively punished so far for not already knowing enemy weaknesses and exploiting baton passes because of how ridiculous the health is for the fat ass robots while at the same time if you are playing normally. Best way to fight him I found is to start with buffs and defbuffs to prevent being trolled by a dodge, gain damage increase throug baton pass, and then pray to RNGesus that your final attack that is aoe finishes the wave of mobs off before they can respawn. Seriously this fight is a total slog on a normal playthrough kinda wish I looked a guide up first lol.
Lmao same. Okumura palace, and that dogshit final boss. First 3 robot lineups i managed, 4th big greens i was like nah. Always either 1 remaining or others running away and restart. Reloaded save, went to velvet room and brought in Izanagi-No-Ok. Never left it behind since. Makoto did best girl things, and Izanagi-No-Ok handled the rest.
I actively avoided using IZANAGI no Okami due to how broken it was, I didn’t want to be carried by it and when I used it it felt like it was plaything the game for me! Hell yoshitsune needs help picking his jaw off the floor from seeing this dlc personas damage
Well I use the one that starts around level 20 cause he’s just too badass looking for me to ignore hehe. In my opinion as long as you wait till Sae’s palace then it’s ok to use the dlc palace. By that point the enemies start getting higher leveled.
I've thought of a fun build, basically, Just put rage boosts and ailment boosts on someone, then get them repel phys, and get that accessory that increases the chances of you being targeted. Pop your targeting skill at the start, then pop your wage war. Provided the enemy can be enraged, and aren't immune/super resistant to physical, you basically win.
I LOVE this dude so much. See, this is the Persona for people that played OG 5 like me. Having a free win button is so satisfying, since I’ve already seen 90% of the game. People gotta chill, these kinds of broken mechanics are always great, IF made optional. Plus, saves you a little time in a 120 hour game, that uh...sounds pretty good, chief 👌🏻
Even though this isn't related to the video I think I just found a bug with the Hastur mini boss inside maruki's palace that takes place on 1/2 right after yoshizawa gets capture. I was testing which almighty skills could one shot him and when I got around using Hastur's unique skill "Abyssal Eye" on himself the game immediately soft block me on akechi's turn and I had to restart the game to continue. I think this happens because you unlock akechi's showtime after the mini boss uses Abyssal Eye on you, so the game is mixing up my Hastur's Abyssal Eye with the Hastur mini boss Abyssal Eye forcing the showtime start animation to happen soft blocking from continuing. Its very weird and I would like other people to test this to see if it happens to them. Very nice video by the way.
Then everyone would only use almighty, since its so easy to make repell all personas. Not to mention battles would become essentially endless with the OP healing and self healing moves. Unless of course some jacakss brings out INOP to oneshot you to hell.
If anything, Raoul should've been this broken. Or at least making Raoul, InO AND Messiah equally broken. For some reason I think ATLUS will never let Persona 4 go.
I just got finished working on my build Izanagi no Okami Pic. Today. It was pretty much the same as the almighty build you had except mine had spell master in place of ali dance.
If this game ever comes to PC I'd love to see people mod in skills from SMT. One of my favorites is a skill in SMT IV called "Antichthon" which is a severe damage almighty attack that targets all enemies and applies debilitate to anything it hits. Combined with concentrate and a high magic stat it can basically one shot anything except bosses.
This here is a problem i experience in almost all Shin Megami Tensei/Persona games: Once you build demons/personas to this point where they're stupidly powerful, there's usually nowhere for you to fully go all out in a fight and use them to the full extent because the bosses dont have enough HP to fight back long enough. In SMT4F there was the option of Stephen and Twisted Tokyo Fiends, but they required a ton of floor crawling though. Other than SMT4F, most of the other games dont have superbosses that _require_ gamebreaking builds, so once you reach that point of breaking the game, there's nothing left to go for.
I love this persona but holy shit the dude's basically a "I win" button that trivializes most battles into inconveniences at best. I guess I'm happy enough though I got to play through the bosses without him anyways.
agree. for some reason my build for Izanagi-no-Okami for my first playthrough I also got 3000 damage or above. well, of course I also have to use party auto buff, and focus or concentrate.
yep. and everybody probably knows this, but the trait "Country Maker" is because, in Shinto mythology, Izanagi (and his sister Izanami) created the Japanese archipelago by stirring the ocean with a spear
To be honest, I used izanagi no okami in royal because I already beat the vanilla already and got rid of him then used Raoul when I got to the third semester along with any other persona I found on the way.
Ren be like: Hollup guys i gotta do smth. this is how it is gonna go:Roses are red, weapons against me wont prosper, WITH THIS SACRED TREASURE I SUMMON IZANAGI THE OPP STOPPA
I always think this sort of thing damages the integrity of the game, sure you can choose to 'not use it' but if it exists it's just too tempting sometimes
I have been looking for a couple of personas to be my end game. Looks like these will be part of the end game team :) all I need now is a physical bruiser and another magic user focused on death and bless :)
As fun as Izanagi No Okami is, I'll prolly only break him out for funny boss battle memes and element hunting. I plan to make Satanael cover Fire, Ice, Elec, and Wind, while Izanagi nO covers the Nuke, Psycho, Bless, and Curse.
You can do what I did and just swap out country maker for mighty gaze or will of the sword. Still hella strong, but without country maker it doesn’t break the game lol
I have a question, proboly won't be true but I was curious. If you have the world arcana, does that mean if you go bond with anyone you will always get that boost, if not , i think think it should be the case.
Yuuuuup, I blame Okumura for starting to use DLC Persona and got addicted though since I don't use (I prolly can't even without using PSN Gold to allow) online play I lack Almighty Boost/Amp. Although I like to have Mind Charge/Concentrate and Angelic Grace instead of Ali Dance on him and what Else I don't remember (been a few month since I last run P5R). Though using the Picaro version for Single Elements via Skill Cards could become useful for future Lavenza attempts (the only time in the game I dropped difficulty to Easy and still needed a few attempts and some luck). My break though is already broken enough for most of the game so I'm fine but maybe I should try one of these days.
@@LearningAI I see thx though not sure if I really want to bother with starting it and needing who knows how many hours before I am lucky enough to get the Network skills to put on IzanO afterwards just to make him even more broken.
I had an idea... will Heat Up work with Vitality of the Tree? 5% hp + 10 sp per turn seems really good for a support persona, plus other passive ambush skills
Is there a way you can make ultimate builds for all the ultimate persona’s i mean you already done Alice (ultimate death) and yoshitune (ultimate tower) might as well do the rest right?
I feel like firm stance is a much better pick for InO (than Ali dance) because he already gets a 50 percent damage reduction and natural resistance to a most magical attacks. I also made my Picaro version my boss killing one (with spell master for longevity) and my normal version my mob killer (with victory cry). I can see why some might see this as unnecessary though, because it doesn’t take too many uses of Myriad Truths to kill anything in this game anyway.
Tbh I used him almost entirely in my NG+ run so far (not finished with ng+), but it does get very boring when you constantly use him because it’s just repetitive and it didn’t feel like my first play through; felt like I was rushing it lol, so I purposely play regularly without using him in some cases. But I mean he’s good for speed runs or if you’re trying to finish Ng+ fast. I still mainly use him to breeze through certain places and things but when it comes to really difficult stuff I try not to use him, unless necessary
Repel Bless is the easy option because of the skill card but you can actually get Drain Bless fairly easily on it via a short fusion chaining. I run spell master for those “long” bosses instead of Ali dance, but I find myself always good on SP since Myriad kills so fast, so I’ll prob change that with a skill card move. Undecided, is insta Heal really worth it?
I recommend building persona pass futaba palace because that is when you gain the gallows or haru dad palace for network fusion to gain unobtainable skills like almighty boost or Amp I forgot which
This Persona’s Skill and builds are absolutely overpowered down to the very point of BS Levels. If Persona had online PVP this thing would slay the entire competition. Seriously the only thing to make this thing even more broken is to throw away all of the defensive skills and slap a sleep method skill set in order to deal extra damage. Seriously a Persona with a triple hitting Omni-Targeting Megidoloan Skill with so many overpowered damage buffs SHOULD NOT EXIST! And you know what? If there was an online competitive PVP VGC A Persona with this build would not just be banned, it would be Outright Outlawed!
I notice the screenshots on your post, the fusion path, and what you actually used at the end of the video are all slightly different builds. Which one should I ultimately be going for assuming I have all the DLC? I guess what I'm asking is, which is the final version of your builds generally? Thanks.
Oh yea, I tended to switch the build around a bit. I generally stuck to the build shown in the thumbnail. Really, you just need Myriad Truths and the boosting skills
@@bainz Thanks. I'm making a bunch of the ones you showed in your vids as I'm streaming my first P5R playthrough. Just finished 3rd palace. Loving that new content.
This is late but is the st hermelin badge(dlc accesory which nuls bless and curse) badge worth equipping for the sake of 2 new slots instead of having drain/nul/repel passives? Just discovered the divine pillar so I have a different question. Would you recommend enduring soul with the pillar? Just discovered how to get firm stance as a skill card(messiah picaro during alarm I think) and the omnipotent orb so I could just replace the repel bless/curse with concentrate and firm stance and equip the omnipotent orb when I get it as I am currently using the divine pillar for firm stance.
Hi, just wondering but does izanagi need to be level 89, like for this to work can he have other abilities on him like concentrate and his level up moves?
Is will of the sword izanagi-no-okami better? I’m using a will of the sword build currently and it’s pretty good. I understand that country maker is the probably the best, which is why I put that on my picaro version. But will of the sword still seems to be very good.
Will of the Sword is good, it turns the 2.5x charge/concentrate multiplier to 3x, so it's a 1.2x damage boost. But Country Maker is a 2x multiplier with a full Persona compendium
Nobody no there’s not a 200% boost to attack while 50% damage reduction? The only one that compares is Hollow Jester but if there not more that 3 enemies you can’t do more damage plus using this on Lavenza destroys her plus Country Maker can’t be passed down
I've been using izanagi no okami pic. and Ryuji with the ring of gluttony (I think) to boost jokers next magical attack by double and myriad truths shreds. I've gotten close to beating the twins with this setup but one will always revive the other. Is there anyway of keeping them from healing or reviving?
