I loved this game and the music soooo much!I used to sit in the Overworld for hours, just watching the clouds roll by and the fish hopping out of the water and just zone out to this music...for hours at a time. So soothing. Nostalgic.
I think its 2 days towards the north star, 1 day going slightly west of it, then 2 days east of it, then 2 days towards the north star again. I know it was something convoluted like that.
I spend days as a 7 years old kid trying every single possible direction. The moment I finally managed to get out of it was one of the most satisfactory things in my live.
There's a trick to this! The guy who tells you how to get through the desert will tell you exactly how to do it, but if you check the notes he gives you, they're different than what he says when you talk to him. What he says is correct, what the notes say is wrong.
Man i love these chill PS1 Capcom Xylophons they also extensively use in Mega Man Legends. It gives these games an iconic 90's Capcom touch or something lol
I like this one better than the second one, the second one carries destiny and meaning, something which adult Ryu seeks like all adults. This one holds freedom to do what one wants with his friends, something all children seek. Be free
YiZhuanyong You played 'undertale' already? One of the best new rpg's imo. If you didn't I recommend it highly. (only turotial sucks, but rest of the game is epic.).
This takes me back to when I was younger. This game, this soundtrack just makes me remember and puts a smile on my face. Its a shame I cant find this cd soundtrack anyone online.
I got right to the last boss and wasn't prepared for the fight, no heals and couldn't go back. So I played the whole game again to complete, 100% worth it.
My favorite version of this Game! Incredible how time passes by and we got some good memories about! And by hearing this tune right now makes me wants to play it again! GREAT GAME! The true story about a kid and his journey about childhood and the looking back without angering with the big problems ahead!
This brought me to fusion. And what other RPG has a jazz/fusion soundtrack? Do you remember how many people thought the music was odd to say the least? I got it when I was 14 or so, and loved this music.
look up Verticlal Hold and Angie stold : Seems your much to busy. thats the inspiration for this song. Bof3 Has alot of RnB inspired tracks. thats why it sounds so odd
@ratedRmetalstar better late than never, i'd consider this in between fusion and smooth jazz. it has some more complex jazz chords/chord movement, but a very simple melody over the top and the solos are all on basically a 2 chord vamp. wide use of instrumentation as well, including funky rhythm guitar. since jazz is a huge umbrella of a genre in itself, its very difficult to really put this into one subgenre since it has a lot of different elements.
Yeah!! The first two are old and kinda didn't age well though, especially 2 that has a pretty bad translation! But they're not bad games :p 3 is my favourite! But 4 is also super great! If you play any of 'em, you'll have a pretty good time. Have fun!
I was out at the coffee shop today and this song came up on the background music. I haven't played BoF3 or listened to the music in years, but I immediately recognized it and it made my day.
Okay so I'm playing this game again lol... And I'm playing up in my music studio, and I really need to figure out what kick drum sample they used for this lol, if anyone has any ideas
i dunno about that one bro, they are both great, and they serve different moods and reasons inside the game... they are both great, they both give me the hibbie jibbies about my lost dragon childhood
@Myriachan Ha, I understand that. But to be honest, I don't remember much about BoF 3 that compelled me to make that year-old comment in the in the first place. That's why I got so flustered when folks kept spamming my comment/inbox with slanderous nonsense...I don't know if you saw any of it, but it was a major headache.
If you like the way this sound, search CASIOPEA -- MAKEUP CITY here on youtube and listen to the whole record. Come back and let me know what you think! One of my favorite bands and super influential in the way video game music sounds.
@AkumaUchitoru I hear ya, I'm African American (in other words I'm black) and feel like to go somewhere away from USA, don't even care if it's another similar to Breath of Fire or the Tales series.
breath of fire 2 allong with the whole thing about the evanism and deatheven is more of a reference to the catholic church rather than the judeo-christianity itself that is what i think
Ugh, I miss this game. Didn't they make one for PSP somewhere...? This theme embodies ALL of my ( bittersweet) childhood memories.... LOL, don't go cancelling your account like Idunator did, all right?
@TheHikariOne As the bible says, truth from the mouth of babes. When one is a child one is innocent and untainted by knowledge of good and evil (sins of the father). As Jesus said, suffer the little children and come unto me. Let your childlike part of you free once more and such things will not plague you :) One needs not religion, or belief to justify ones existence or to live. Simply be who you are and what you feel within your heart and nature and peace will follow and grow with you.
I didn't really see any harm in it. I mean, many games have religious things, and ALOT of it. Like the playstation game Alundra. It's pretty much about defeating a god that's killing people through nightmares [Enter Nightmare on Elm Street joke here]
@AkumaUchitoru Nah...you're just paranoid. The game industry will be healed eventually but its going to have take something unprecedented they would have to permit and risk losing some money. Although I can't imagine they would lose any since we'd all love to have games that were more or less like the old classic ones but they'd have better graphics.
I don't really recall BOF III having much religion stuff... And why should people be offended? It's a game. You're not really supposed to believe in things that happens in it :)
...Let's...not open up "Pandora's Box" by replying to that archaic comment. I've paid my dues by having my Inbox spammed with rebuttals. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go ahead and get rid of it, seeing how its still getting replies. I didn't mean harm by it, but that was WAY in the past.
I love this song, but I dunno about it's use in BoF3. I guess it's supposed to represent "carefree" childhood days, but it just doesn't fit. Just my opinion of course. All in all, a good song on its own.
