It looks great, but Is there any reason why they don't use age acceleration on the top? I mean why wait ten years for it to break in when the technology is available. For it's price one might expect a little bit more imo. ever tried a Dowina? They will present a new 00 now at the end of May, called the Aura. Made in Slowakiia, Maybe you should get in touch with them and do a review for them. 😊
I have one of these. All myrtle wood. Can't say enough good things about it. I hadn't given any thought to how it will sound as the wood ages. Good point.
I came to hear the guitar and stayed for your playing. Your originals are sweet! I’m currently looking at buying a parlor guitar to leave out on the couch. This one might be too nice for that, but I might have to get one anyway.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words. This really is a great option. Might seem like it’s too nice but the myrtlewood is very sturdy and durable. So I would highly recommend it. Let me know what you end up getting. Good luck In your guitar hunting pursuit.
It's kind of both. The Companion is their smallest current offering, but it has a shorter scale length than the parlor and is joined to the body at the 14th fret. The Concertina has the same scale length as the parlor and also joins to the body at the 12th fret like the parlor, but has a noticeably larger body. For my preference, the Breedlove parlor was and is the ideal sized acoustic guitar.
