I picked up Valorant as my first mouse + keyboard game ever about 4 1/2 months ago, and Woohoojin is deadass the reason why I went from Bronze 2 to Gold 2 in 2 acts. His guides, VOD reviews, and content are literally so top tier. For free too which is insane lol
Thanks for the guide! This is one of my least favorite maps so I'm so glad you made this comprehensive guide. I'm turning them into my own playbooks right now. One small thing I have to nitpick is that the viper one-way smoke lineup for mid doors at 21:42 is only possible on high detail since you can't see the tiles on anything below that setting. Conveniently I figured that the UI line below the health number matches with the actual line on the wall next to the doors. While the spawn barrier makes it hard to line it up on that specific angle, I found that pinging the middle of the line when you're directly aiming at it and then lining it up with the ping makes it super consistent for me. There's probably some better way to line it up but that's the one I got so far. Besides that, these are some nasty techs and I'm super eager to try it out in a real match. Thanks again.

I really enjoy playing this map but I'd been copying Nats setups for walls and such and these are pretty different comparatively. Thanks for the options and comments about different types of setups Hooj. ❤
Woohoojin i just want to thank you for this guide... like genuinely. Every single time I play this map as an initiator(flash or recon) i always bot frag with minimal assist as I rotate too late for the site recon. Hopefully this will improve my win rate for this map. Also your sova vod reviewing of other pro llayers made me top frag like 3 plat 3 to diamond games so huge ups and thank you once again.
I returned to the game after two years without playing Val at all and just have 2 or 3 months since I came back and I just hit Diamond today and never thought it was going to be possible since I was stucked on silver and gold, found your channel and really was a blessed. i play viper consistently on this map and i must say i do feel she is better with a secondary smoker who is more set up to take skirmishes like harbor or omen, really helps extend the team's stopping power wherever viper doesn't play as well as helping massively on attack

I’ve not watched a single video on sova players on breeze(I know it’s bad to not) but when I play breeze I normally play sova and when you starting talking about how a T2 plays sova breeze I was shocked that I do the exact same thing as them
34:15 - Is this still a thing? I've been trying to figure it out for half an hour now and I can't seem to do it all _(hold W, jump+D then A)._ Googling around doesn't result me much results either. I don't recall any recent hotfixes since I think the 17th, so I'm feeling like maybe I'm not understanding something.
Does the Sova recon dart scan further than it's circle? At 14:59 he claims that the A site recon dart scans the cubby by crab although that cubby is clearly outside the circle that dart makes on the map. The drone can reach that if from cave so the setup still works but that seems like a bit of an oversight.
Holy fuck. I tested sova in nest and it's nasty. (got de joke?) But seriously, I am a silver 3 piece of shit as a player, and this was just other level of darts. The "wait my drone , I have a dart coming in 4 seconds" just destroyed any hope that the viper had. Thank you , big banana. Thank you.
I paused the video once I finished the Sova section (I am now rethinking my life choices as a Skye one trick) to test the videos in the Sova lineups - seems like the links are broken. Edit: nevermind - looks like firefox doesn't have a built in mp4 player
plz understand that these things only apply if you first can shoot enemy on sight. if you aim is that of a peanut plz pause the video. go back to practice and then come back after your aim is at least that of a gold or higher level
Heavily considering switching from omen to playing Viper on Breeze, because I feel like Omen's attack just really sucks as solo controller on Breeze leaving me with a 38% WR
Is there a resource to see what the theoretical map mini game would be for all competitive maps [ex. Lotus/Ascent/ Icebox/ Sunset/ Split] I've only seen notes about breeze, bind, and haven
So mainly I play sova, viper, cypher, raze only on any maps, so i'm feeling like a fox after seeing the video, ready to swap some rr chickens. And please give us non-duelist players some more not just lineups but strats for other maps to know how to think while in games.
For future, it really wouldn’t take that much longer to just include the lineups in your video man. I tried using the google doc and the b site recon video I was looking for isn’t available. I get a doc is much cleaner but for simplicity just take a few extra seconds to add the lineups in video. Thank you
The thing that i hate soo much of this lineups are hud based and i have to play stretched lower rez for better frames it just doesnt make me wanna learn lineups and adapt every single one to my rez
Can you help me understand why one way smokes in the main chokes are better on Breeze? Typically you point out how a one way encourages the enemy team to leave. If on Breeze you WANT them to push the main chokes, isn't discouraging them from doing that at odds with the win condition of the map?
I could be wrong but it’s basically letting the space be held with less resources because the enemy doesn’t want to push it. This makes the enemies go mid where a majority of players will be forcing the enemy to push through lots of util and fights mid or push through the one way in the mains
