ACKTCHUALLY - In the Harry Potter universe, a game of quidditch cannot legally end until the snitch is caught. The ONLY exception is if both captains agree to end the game! That is true. However, catching the Snitch doesn't guarantee victory; it earns you 150 points and ends the game. If the opposing seeker catches the snitch and your team is leading by exactly 150 points, it would result in a tie, while if your team has more than a 150 point lead, you would win despite the catch. Therefore, the scoring becomes important for tournament placement and point spreads, even winning a match. All of those reasons were seen in the 1994 world cup that ended with Ireland's victory, even though Bulgaria's seeker, Viktor Krum, which I referenced above, caught the snitch. Ireland had a 170-10 lead and the game ended 170-160. Also can be found at harrypotter fandom. It's also funny that in the first movie, Oliver Wood tells Harry that catching the snitch results in a win, (another reason why movies are a separate universe) which may create a Mandela effect for some lol.

@6henny443 technically catching the snitch doesn't result in a win, but under normal circumstances, the team who catches the snitch will always win. 150 points is an insane amount, a lead like that is very hard to get - and the other team won't be too keen on catching the snitch if you have that lead. "What about in the goblet of fire?" - why do you think the Weasley's bet was worth so much? Because they bet on something that never happens. JK Rowling simply doesn't know how to design a sport, quiddich is very dumb

@@zappyFPS you want a personal list? 1) I don't have the time or discipline for consistent, quality practice 2) My mental is hilariously fragile (no idea how to work on that) 3) I don't play enough ranked nor deathmatch 4) When I do play, I am often matched with higher ranked/seemingly better players and those games leave me frustrated with little idea of what to improve on 5) My friends are all around or lower ranked than me. If I climb too much, I can't play with them. Similarly, playing games with them drags down my RR. etc.
