I relate to this song so much. I'm 14 years old my brother has been in jail 2 times he introduced me to drugs I still look up to him he's my best friend. He got in a wreck 2 days ago he could've died he had so much in his system he broke his back. But he's still on the streets. I try to tell him to come home I try to tell him I love him I want him to talk to me I want him to be there for me.

My brother isn't your average prisoner in a cell with steel bars. He's a prisoner to drugs. Because of them I haven't talked to him in 1 year and 7 months. He never tried to reply to me, but he read my messages. I asked him to listen to this song and think of it in my point of view and about 5 days later he said he wanted to become clean.

I was told by my blood that cancer took out my big brother, 9 years has past and I just found out last week he was still alive. This song just cut me deep. this is deep, I didn't grow up with my brother, even tho he did me dirty when I did get to know him I never held on to what he did cos I know he was struggling with addiction. I wrote him when he was in prison to let him know I loved him and I missed him, and that he will still always be my brother even if we have the same dad different mothers, he is blood, people make mistakes so who am I to judge. He is doing good now working and living it up, while I sit in his place doing drugs and getting myself involved in a bunch of stuff I never wanted to be a part of,pretty soon I'll be sitting where he was and hopefully he will end up showing me the same love if not, I still won't hate him I am proud that he moved on from a life he should of never thought he had to favor, our dad been sitting in the big house since we were kids we never got a chance to get to know him so we followed in his foot steps because no one showed is different they all never gave us a chance they all said we would end up like him, so we did, to bad no one could of told us different put us on a path that would help us be greater, still don't matter because one day we gonna piss off them haters and make them look foolish to ever put it in our heads as kids that we would never be anything in life but drug addicts and alcoholics. thanks for the inspiration today man much love.

My brother spent about a total of 5 years in prison. I know all about the short phone calls and wanting to tell him something but he had to go for count and lockdown. Last December he got out and was drug free for about 5 months when he overdosed. His buddies tried to help him but by the time the ambulance came it was too late. My brother died 30.01.15. its two years ago, the worst day of my life, i allways got bullied at school but he allways help me, he died in a street fight... he got punched to death.. i still remember sitting in the car seeing my own brother got beaten to death because he tryed to protect me.. i almost died that night to, because i tried to stop them.. my oldest brother is in prison for killing one of the persons who killed my other brother.. i got two bigger brothers one is lockt in prison on is dead laying in the ground, i miss the as much as i love them... they are, and will always be the best thing in my life❤
