I love you guys! I am almost done watching all four years worth of your flosstubes! And I just started a few months ago! I have learned sooooooo much from you! Mostly to just trust myself and my decisions (I have no close friends who stitch and no local cross stitch store. Closest one is 2 1/2 hours from me.) And to stitch what I like - which is what I’m doing! Anyway, I was very interested in Brenda’s segment on flower threads and how much she’s enjoying them. I recently had ordered some Prairie Schooler Santa smalls that call for 32 count linen (my normal is 36-40). I’m not sure I’m going to love the Santa’s done in the traditional Prairie Schooler red? I think I’d like to change it out for something closer to School house red? But I can’t find a conversion chart for that. Brenda, since you got the big box could you possibly tell me which flower thread red would be closest? Thank you so much for everything you do! I really appreciate it more than words can say!
I have a notebook with notes on what is in each show..when I want to look at something unique I refer to my notes and purchase…I just purchased the t shirt…so unique ..love it…
Thank you for your fun comments Lauri! I pinned your comment so that Brenda will see it and give us her opinion. I would love it if she took one of the yearly PS Santa charts and did a Flower Thread conversion for us both!!!! Brenda!!!!!
You both are such a blessing to me. BRENDA...... BRENDA!!!!! DO NOT BE DISAPPOINTED in yourself. You are ALLOWED to have a year of not a lot of finishes. We have come out of a pandemic, you had cancer. Really woman.... take a breathe. You are an amazing superwoman already.
Thank you ladies for once more sharing your time with us. Your stitching projects are stunning. What a beautiful collection of haul you have and gorgeous gifts. Enjoy your stitching love and blessing xx
What a perfectly lovely afternoon of stitching with both of you. It truly is a perfect storm of goodness. Thank you for the kind words for my FlossTube channel. You have both been such role models for me and I will never forget all of your support. You both are beacons in our community of stitchers!!!
Thanks to you, you made me a happy camper this week. Remember a number of months ago you told me about Inspired Needle moving to Palm Coast, Florida. I have followed their progress since March and the doors finally opened this Wednesday. I drove down there on Friday and could not contain my excitement of finally having a LNS near me. It is 35 minutes away but most of the travel is on Interstate so doesn't take long. The shop is so new that she doesn't even have a sign on the door yet so I wasn't sure that I was in the right place. She has done a great job of organizing the shop with lots of eye candy to look at. She said that she still has a lot more things to put up. It was so nice to be able to buy cross stitch fabric when I would look at it closely. Thanks again for the heads up.
As always, Brenda and Laura you end up enabling me! I hung on to the end but when I saw Susan Standly’s doll quilt kit and heard about the videos I went “hmmm.” So I went over and watched some of her flosstubes and was immediately like “oh I have to do this and order the kit.” So I did. Lol. Y’all always having me spending my money! You see I make preemie quilts with a local group for our nearby NICU and I can do basic basic machine sewing but to be honest- I don’t like the machine. Setting it up and dragging it out and then I always get mine all tangled… so sewing by hand is appealing. So now y’all have sent me down that rabbit hole! I look forward to my kit and hope to see your doll quilts soon in the near future!
I'm watching this video again as it just tickled my funny bone! Lighten up people & then lighten up Frances! 15 yrs ago, at age 3, my granddaughter said to me, "Simmer down Nana!" You reminded me of that moment, when a 3 yr old cracked me up! "A trade is going down!" 😂You must share! Thank you for encouraging me to stitch what I love! ❤❤
Brenda and Laura, I can't thank you enough for your shout out, I feel so honored that you both appreciate my channel and the work that I show. I have learned so much from both of you about fabric, needles, and designers that I can't thank you enough. Take Care. Best, Karen
Omg, I just watched an older episode and Laura is wearing a UCD Alumni sweatshirt. I went there for undergrad! Small world. Love your videos, just keep collecting and stitching when you can. It’s all such a joy!
You mentioned the antique needleworkers as being great enablers; you and Laura are no slouches in that dept either! I have a list next to me of all the things that I am putting on my wish list -one of which is Ginnie Thompson threads. I signed up for the email to get notification on that flower thread assortment! Shame on you both... lol Love your stitching and hearing your stories. Thank you so much for being here! Hugs and Love, Jen
I still have my "Linen Stitches" by Ginnie Thompson too! I also have quite a few of the of her Flower threads. I have started stitching again after about 25 years and am so enjoying it again. I love the advise from Laura's mother. I really enjoy your floss tubes! I have not been to a retreat but hope to get there one day soon.
Just love your videos and always watch them first thing on the Sundays you put them up! (Got interrupted this week, so just now leaving my comment.) Thank you SO much for the shoutout - you two are the best the best the best! 🥰 Brenda, you made me think about my finishing this year and I don’t feel like I have finished many bigs in 2023 either. I guess I have been focusing on smalls and having fun with starts instead. But someone I know says to “stitch what you love” and I guess that’s what I have been loving lately. 😊 - Sheri
Love to stitch along with you two! So much eye candy and info, thanks. Glad to hear you’ll be getting another pup. For the last 50 years all our female dogs have had” May “for a middle name, Maggie May, Mandy May, Maya May. I do like the name Maizee May or Mae, clever!
Wow, I used to have a lot of Ginnie Thompson fiber. I am a old (emphasis on the old) time stitcher from the early 80s. I'll get the free sample offered on their website and go from there. Living on a fixed income cramps my style, but I still have the itch to stitch and I am now teaching my granddaughter to stitch. Life is good. Loved your video and have subscribed.
Lovely floss tube this week. Brenda, I truly understand ‘renovation’ stresses! 😉 Grab your stitching and find a quiet spot. Lovely gifts and I’m going to checkout the other Floss Tubes you listed. ‘BAPs’!!! Love it. Get stitchin’ Laura.
Love watching you both as always. Brenda, I can totally relate to what you said about not getting certain things done. I have been feeling guilty about not getting my monthly portions done on Florence Mary Dickinson. I have been knitting instead and have been loving it. Just finished a sweater for my daughter and working on a few things for myself. I think we need to remember that the most important thing is that we are doing what we love and we shouldn’t feel guilty about letting something else sit to the side for a while. Life is too short for that. ❤
Miss Brenda. I’m so excited for you to be getting a new Scottie dog. And her name is perfect as a member of your family. Please continue to share about her. I, personally, love hearing about the happenings in your life.
Hello, you lovely girls. Do you know how much joy you give we shut-ins? Just love your relationship, your chats and your beautiful enabling. Bless you both, 🇦🇺❤️
Well another Fabulous Floss Tube. Loved all the eye candy and seeing your stitching. Now I’m off to Susan Stanley’s floss tube I want to get on the doll quilt stitch. Thanks Be Well
I can’t even remember what it was that I wanted to comment about, but just wanted to say I love you both, as always. Laura! You mentioned ordering a fabric from In Stitches a while back. It was the mail in the coffin for me deciding to go to In Stitches while I’m visiting VA. It was fabulous and I got to see (and buy) all kinds of PTP, Sarafim and Lakeside. I am about to post a tour of the shop on my flosstube (Quikt Idaho Flosstube). While I was there, another gal mentioned to one of the employees that she was there because of “Brenda and some lady”…. It was like a bomb went off in a chicken coop with excitement! Everyone lost their minds and started gabbing. So much fun! Thanks for all you do ladies!
Oh my goodness! I love this comment so much Danielle!!!! I love when everyone in a shop gets all hepped up about something or another! Fun, fun, fun!!! So glad that you visited In Stitches and found some treasures! We will be sure to check out your FT for that shop tour!!!!!! Thank you for your sweet comments!
Well, I was enabled after watching this video. I promptly went and ordered a T shirt and then went to Hobby House's website and ordered the Rock and Roll Sampler and thread keep. Just got notice that my T shirt has already shipped. Great video and thanks for sharing all the new stuff.
Brenda... I have the book Linen and Stitches too. A dear friend of mine, back in the 80's gave it to me and it changed my cross stitch world. And thank you for sharing the Tindale Sisters samplers. I ordered it while watching! I'm going to stitch with the Ginnie Thompson flower threads. I used them many years ago and I am excited to try them again.
Thank you Lori!!!! So glad you are going to try them again!!!!! I (Laura) just ordered from The Wishing Thorn so I can try them on her Jane Parsons sampler which I have admired many times.
@@brendaandtheserialstarter2410 isn't it amazing how cross stitch has caused our paths to meet? It is so much more than needle and thread. Have a wonderful day.
You girls are bad girls!! I ordered a long sleeve t-shirt and a short sleeve one too!! I am stitching one of Tanya’s designs on 56 count!! 56 count!! Can you believe it?? It is soo much fun!! Welcome back my friends!! ❤❤
Good idea Laura to switch to a bottle with a cap.👍 And I too really like your mom's advice. And it is important that we work on what we love. Or else it's the Emperor's New Clothes all over again. Brenda I am thrilled that you've tried something new with those lovely Flower threads. An on Vintage Country Mocha to boot.
You two make me smile and giggle! You are good for my health! Brenda, I can't wait to meet your new Scottie! I had a Westie, West Highland White Terrier. I loved her (Lacy) so, so much! The day she passed, I went outside to cry and saw a cloud in the sky that looked just like her! I'm intrigued by those Flower Threads! I'm going to try them out. I've been eyeing the Tindale Sister 1840. Thanks for another great Flosstube!
Thank you Barbara! We are sending you a big hug for you and pretend it is from Lacy. The cloud story is so wonderful. I (Laura) just placed an order from The Wishing Thorn for the flower threads for her Jane Parsons sampler! So excited!
Love the notion of a “Locked In” retreat! We all could benefit! And holy moly Brenda - talk about Liz and Shellie having you spend money, well, let’s just say since I started watching you two a few years ago my cross stitch spend has my husband thinking I need to come out of retirement! It has been so fun! Love the flosstube book - I started my own when I started watching your flosstubes (binged watch all episodes to get current). I have a project mgmt notebook that I use noting your flosstube # and the samplers, linen, websites, goodies, etc. that are of note (and significantly contributed to my spend and now stash!). I’ve started a database of sorts on an excel spreadsheet with all of this info and if I purchased, started, completed with dates. etc enabling me to quickly track. More fun! Always a joy watching and listening to you both❤️
Georgia!!! Love your spreadsheet comment.....that sound awesome!!!!! Don't come out of retirement though.....that would cut into your stitching time!!!! Thank you for your fun comment!!!
Another awesome visit filled with so many beautiful things! your visits have always been that safe , happy place to turn to and oh my gosh enabling! With utmost respect and kindness I do want to mention that your presentation of the Bridget Powers chart showed a lack of mindfulness. Referring to the bottom portion of the chart as malarkey and covering it with your hand showed a lack of respect which you often ask your viewers to show to others. Doesn't have to be your bag but is significant to many…Sending peace and thanks for the joy you give.
Thank you for your kind comments Joanne! I think Brenda just meant that she liked the top flower basket and did not care for the bottom of the chart...she definitely did not mean it in a disrespectful way at all. Just that it did not call to her.....she did not mean to upset anyone in any way. She covered the bottom with her hand just to show what the top of the chart would look like stitched on it's own. She has a deep respect for everyone's religious beliefs and in no way meant to offend. Please don't take offense as none was meant at all. Hugs!!!!
Great floss tube! You guys always make me laugh and laughter is the best medicine. I have Evernote and have individual notes for each Floss Tube I watch plus a general one. I try to enter the info as I listen. I can search a term and that way I can find the info I am looking for.
I love you guys so much. You always make me smile and laugh out loud. I had to pause a couple times to shop a little, weird, right? 🤣😂 Brenda I’m so excited for you to get another woof, I could not imagine life without mine. Laura, so very cool of you to extend an invitation to someone who is going to their first retreat. I’m very close to having to purchase and sew the doll quilt, I’ve been watching Susan’s videos, I’m such a history nerd that I’m enthralled without even doing the sewing! Take care xx
I totally agree with your mother, Laura! Such wise advice! I have a little clipping from a magazine from many years ago pinned up in my sewing room that says “If it looks good to YOU, then it IS good”. I see it everyday and I love it! It is a good motto to live by! Trust yourself❤️
I ordered the sampler and the flower threads to stitch it. I came into a sweet deal on 50+ 1/4 yard fabrics of 28 30 and 32 and many old old samplers Goode huswife. So i have a piece of fabric I’m sure in there to stitch it with the flower threads.
I love the Susan Stanley project and the history she shares. I was so impressed with her floss tube that I decided to watch all her floss tubes from the beginning. She talks about the history of various sewing notions, and brings up Frozen Charlottes and ‘treens’, etc. A wealth of interesting information, and beautiful handwork and quilts.
You ladies are such a joy to listen too. Brenda I am so glad to hear you will be getting another Scottie. Our doxie/pit mix (what a combo) is almost a year old...and I think is going through the terrible 2's. In the last week I shut him in my craft room as he followed me and I didn't see him.( He is built more like a doxie..comes in at about 22 pounds, so he stands a little taller than a doxie) Did he bark to let me know after I shut the door...nope. He found a roll of bubble wrap on a card table and managed to get that down and boy did he have fun by the time I discovered he was "missing" At least he apparently was to busy with it to swallow any of it thank goodness. Tonight he unwrapped some toliet paper...Last night he had something in his mouth, he dropped it, picked it back up....I thought it was some dark thread...when I got him to drop it again..not thread.. it was a bug!...You can bet I am trying to remember not to leave my stitching down low...or put it on the couch and walk away...I have a lot kitted, but then did not start, which is probably good I do have a few that I need to get back too, but like you Brenda I like to have some finishes. Probably why I gravitate towards the smaller things so at least I have a few finishes throughout the year. If you are coming to AZ in August be prepared for it to be a lot hotter...Tell Jean she should move it to the end of October...at least by then it is in the 90's :)
Debbie! You have your hands full!!!! Hope that the terrible two's will be over soon!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it will be beastly hot in August......but we just go from hotel to shop and back again....so it will be worth it.
Hmmm...being "locked up" with our stitching projects that need to be completed? Sounds like a retreat to me!!! Its a thought! 🤣. Great to see you both again and catch up with your stitching shenanigans😊. Loved the mini Gigi R parade of patterns. They are exquisite!
Super packed episode! I could hardly keep up with trying to take notes and then Brenda shows us the flosstube note book, add to cart, should arrive in a couple of days! Thank you for the inspiration and enthusiasm you both share, happy stitching 💚
Another fabulous video. Love the shirts, they are a must have! I just started The Bethrothed last month. I look forward to seeing your progress. 😊. Happy stitching 🧵!
Laura love the stitches. Girls enjoyed the video. You two are lethal to my budget/bank account. Brenda when you were talking about the Flower Thread on the PS Santa’s, I did a conversion on them into Sulky threads and it is amazingly easy and fun to do. I normally stitch on 32/36 but started my PS Santa’s on 28 count Murky over 1 with the Sulky and love them. Brenda, you and Laura need to come to Alabama and go to the new shop at Gulf Shores that was talked about on Antique Needleworkers latest video. We could all go and do some money damage. Laura I am in the BAP club as well. I currently have about 30 WIPS and the last 3 are Snowman Collector, Consider the Lilies, and His Eye is on the Sparrow. All are close to a half yard each.
Thank you!!!!!! You are definitely in the BAP club!!!!! Your PS Santas sound fabulous!!!!!! And if we ever get to Alabama, you will know about it!!!! Thanks!
Love your video as usual! I can’t watch without a pen and notebook, you two are definitely enablers! Beautiful projects and so inspiring! Now, I must check out Barrie’s shirts!
I have so missed you, sweet friends! Brenda, thank you for introducing me to Flower Threads; I will be checking those out! Loved all the FlossTube shout outs; I now have some new channels to visit. Laura, your Big Girl Sampler starts are amazing....so anxious to see them as you progress along. Brenda, I can't wait to meet Maizee...what a sweet name (but I didn't catch the reference; please share again) I hope you both have a wonderful two weeks and see you next time...Happy Stitching!! You two are such a Blessing to our Stitching Community and I am so grateful for your sharing of your time & talents!!!!
Thank you so much Barbara for your very kind comments! Maizee is a name picked because it is close to the Maize and Blue....which are the University of Michigan colors that mean so much to Brenda and her family.
Thank you for another enjoyable flosstube!! For those of us who don't have a LNS it is great to see new charts, linens, threads through you. I agree with Brenda about how great flower thread is. I have not used the Ginnie Thompson flower thread but was introduced to Danish Flower Thread over 40 years ago when I first learned to cross stitch. Talk about beautiful flowers, Gerda Bengston designed gorgeous botanical flowers and other beautiful floral charts. I love the look of flower thread. Enjoy this new project!! 😊
It's so good to spend time with you both again. Love the new wardrobe! I had to go over and order Christmas presents! So much stitching to do, you BOTH need to retire. I retired and love my stitching time. My husband, when he leaves for work, asks me what I am going to do for the day. I just smile! Happy stitching!
Oh your days sound so wonderful Desiree!!!!!!! We certainly have enough stash to keep us busy when we retire. What a happy day that will be!!!! Enjoy your Monday of stitching!!
I’m so happy to see FlorenceMary Dickinson! I’ve been working on it, it’s my first sampler, since February and I’m only on page 5!!! No one else has shown it and I felt alone. So, I’m so happy to see her and it makes me want to finish her. I love seeing your “almost finished”. Thank you both! I enjoy seeing you both. You both bring joy to my heart!❤❤❤
Brenda, did you notice how many new things you introduced? You were very busy. I find it interesting how many parts our stitching has. They are all separate and important. Falling in love with a chart. Buying the chart. Falling in love with the floss. Falling in love with the cloth. Deciding when you would stitch it. Showing your progress and the finished and the framing. Thank you for all the inspiration.
Loved the video today ladies. Brenda I love the name Maizee for your new pup when you get him/her and I also think the middle name Blu goes really well. Think about it when you call her by her full name like most parents tend to you’ll be saying Maizee Blu! ❤️
I’m so excited Brenda! I used to stitch with flower thread and I adored it❤ so I just ordered the full set and the 20 sampler set for my daughter to try! It was 20 bucks for 20 small threads to try❤ yeah! I have flirted around all year too and have not finished one Mira or Nora or sampler! I’ve finished a ton of pillows, ornaments, monthly stitched etc but nothing large and seems I’ve added so much to my wip pile I never know what to work on anymore😮I have got to get it together and I have got to do some finishing, I need a whole week but with work and it’s nice out I just don’t want to stay inside after a work day and do it😊Lordy pray for us! Love your shirts ladies! I can’t believe you guys with the BAG stitches you do all the time it is amazing! Laura really 5 retreats! Girl you’re living my dream! ❤ blessings to you both!!😊
Laura, your mum is so right about being thrilled by your own choice. I am a stitcher with fairly limited resources so I have to go with what limited stash I have or can afford but I am always delighted when I finish a piece - because it’s mine! 😁
Thank you for another fabulous flosstube! I love watching/listening to you while I put the finishing touches on "When I Think of Cooking" ! The two of you are so inspiring and an absolute joy to watch ! Thank you for sharing your WIPs! Have a wonderful week! Happy Stitching! 🙂🪡🌺
Thank you Brenda fro praising stitching on 32 count. I feel sometimes like some stitchers make me fell inadequate for preferring 32. It is faster which means I can stitch more .
Great video as usual. Learned about other channels to watch~you to are so fun to watch. I have been thinking of going to a retreat never been to one ~and a little scared to go by myself don't have any stitchy friends..😊
Oh you girls!! I do so enjoy your videos. Such beautiful stitching! I love the way you support each other and share your humor. Not to mention the knowledge of all aspects of cross stitching. Y'all are the best!!!
Thank you for the fun floss tube videos. You guys always make me laugh. Can’t wait to see your little handstitched doll quilts when you get them finished.
Hello my lovely friends! I always love watching you and feeling like you’re right next to me Stitching! Thank you for your kind words about the doll quilt project! I’m just so thrilled to be able to share this with such a loving warm community of people who love things from the past and all the beautiful Stitching options we have right now! You are both the very best of the best In the world❤❤❤
Hi ladies.......... lucky you to get to meet Nicola!! I am almost halfway finished with Paulette's "America Sampler" on Serial Starter - it is gorgeous!!! So thanks for your inspiration to her for those new colors. As soon as she returned from vacay, I ordered more!!! She said that she already misses the summer weather here. And Brenda, you HAVE accomplished things this year - you just concentrated on smalls for a change - and they are beautiful. I need to get caught up on my Scattered Seeds pieces. Not enough time in a day!!! Anyway - thanks as always for sharing - have fun with your doll quilts.
So good to see you ladies again! I so agree with not having a stitching schedule and putting pressure on yourself. I like to "stitch by ear". HA! Thanks for the video and inspiration. Happy stitching!
YES! YES! YES! I am sooooooooooooooooooooo excited you are on a list to get another Scottie! The smile on your face tells it all! And I love the name! I totally understand, believe me. Can't wait to see her when she arrives at her new home. Okay Stitching was awesome as usual. I saw so many things I want to get, but I am on a no buy pledge for July. Only 21 more days. My shopping carts at my fav online shops are loading up! Thanks for another fantastic video. And Laura's mom is spot on - stitch what makes you happy! Always makes my day when I see the notification pop up!
Hey Laura- don’t know if anyone has suggested this as a way to organize that huge hank of deep brown floss, but I suggest corralling a friend who knits about putting it on a swift and winding it into a center pull ball. That way, you can just pull off the lengths you need without getting it into knots.
Oh that is such a great idea.........I don't know anyone who has one of those...but maybe if I take it to a knitting shop they would do it for a small fee. Will think about that for sure! Thank you!!!!
You both do my heart so much good!!! I so agree with you that you really do have to trust yourself and go for it as our stitching only needs to make our own heart sing! The flower thread looks like fun to try. It is always such a pleasure to 'visit' with both of you!!! Thanks as always and happy stitching!
Omgooooooodnes I had to pause the video & get over to Stitchfolkshop, & shop I did !!! Such great enablers …. And we stitchers need these perks… yes.. yes 🤗♥️ Always a joy to see you both.., So much information & lovelies you pass on.. Blessings to you both Ohio 🇺🇸♥️🤗( go blue cuz I’m a Michigander through & through )
It was actually due to me watching your flosstube a couple of years ago that I decided I needed a flosstube notebook, so I've used it ever since, it's just a plain notebook but works well. Thank you ladies for another wonderful video. I love the Flower Thread that you showed.
Always a delight ladies. Laura, your Mom is a genius, of course. Isn't that what mom's are for? You ladies give me so much inspiration every time I watch you. I love the idea to just work on the project at least once a week to keep it on your mind and in your rotation.
Thank you for the eye candy. I'm going on my first trip to The Attic this month and you've given me a shopping list. I'm walking on a cloud until I get there. I can hardly wait!! Love you ladies ❤
That is such exciting news Jasmine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are in for a treat of a lifetime. The Attic is so so so amazing!!!! I am sure you will find a ton of stuff (and more) that you love!
It was great to see you, Brenda, using the Flower Thread. When I started cross stitching (in the 70s), I started with Danish Flower Thread. I believe Ginny Thompson created her floss to match the DFT. The cotton feel and the natural colors are so beautiful. I only recently began using DMC, and most recently silk (Katie Strachan influenced), and higher counts of linen. When I want to rest my eyes, I switch to the flower thread. It’s nice you have mentioned this floss! Great video today btw.
Brenda, when you mentioned flower thread the lightbulb went off. I remember using DMC flower thread and loving it. I've been trying to remember what it what was called since I got back into stitching. Laura, I am sitting on the fence about the Sweata Weatha retreat. Sounds like fun and I haven't been down to Penn's Landing in ages. Oh and again, thanks for the enabling. I put the Tinsdale sampler in my Etsy cart. Take care!
An absolute joy and delight as always. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely work and for your love and friendship. Happy stitching and keep safe and well. Love Gail xx ❤❤
I have followed your stitchy world for a few years now. I am pretty certain I have see almost all of your videos and love each one! I do have a question: when and how did you two meet? You have such a sweet friendship and are such a blessing to so many! All the best!
Thank you for your kind comments!!!!! We met because I stalked Brenda through the blog she had at that time. I said we have to meet! She had shown pictures of her stitching room......oh my!
Wonderful flosstube, I so enjoy watching you both! Laura, your mom’s advice is spot on! I find, at times, I can get caught up in the frenzy and comparison wheel and need to remind myself that ultimately, I stitch for myself, what I love and enjoy, and I can admire others choices even if they are not the same as mine 😊
I came across your RU-vid channel a week ago and I have been binge watching your shows. You two are so fun to watch and you compliment each other so well. Watching your go through your purchases is eye candy to me. I am determined to get to the Attic for a retreat and hopefully meet you both.
I’ve been eyeing those shirts. Bought one from Primrose Cottage Etsy shop. Running with scissors-stitching with Jane and Julie have shirts too! Always enjoy seeing y’all and being enabled! Concentrating on increasing my stitching fabric stash at the moment. Hand piecing a quilt can be very relaxing. I might have to choose a few fabrics and make one. It would work well in my tiered tray. Happy stitching!
This was a great episode! I had to keep pausing to do chores, but what a fun video! Brenda, no need to be disappointed with not a lot of finishes, you have stitched lots of smalls this year so far! You have the rest of the year to work on a bigger project and i am sure that you will have lots to show for it! Love your shirts! I need to shoom over to Etsy and order me some STAT! Laura, I just love your mother’s advice to love what YOU are doing! I do find that Flosstube and social media make me feel like I need to do all of the things, and feel like Brenda that I never get many things done! But, I need to stitch what I love3 and not get wrapped up in what everyone else does! You both inspire me with such beautiful stitching! Thank you!
