Nice one Graham, they are out of stock since Monday for the B70 - looks like you got the last one :D Looking forward to the video explaining how it all works and doing a brew day. Cheers from Cork
Cheers pal brew day went well for first one and figuring out the system little of 4 hours totally so was happy with that . Video to follow cheers mate 🍻
Hi Graham. I just bought the Brew Monk 40 from Geterbrew, easy to use, and I have two brews nearly finished. I brewed an ESB first to see what the efficiency was, and the 2nd brew was a lot more accurate to my receiples. Building my kegerator this Christmas and New Year, I will be brewing stout, and I have 70/30 gas for that. Just waiting for the fittings and to see if there will be a sale on this New Year for a fridge. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
That’s great mate I am delighted you are finding the system easy to use . Are you using the WiFi function or manual. I am in the middle of a brew evening now actually. Just a hoppy pilsner. Only my second brew on the new system. But I plan on doing a good few brews over Christmas . Split batch and some more Guinness clones . A very happy Christmas to you and yours also mate have a good one cheers 🍻
Nice one nice Graham. I have being brewing with the brew monk Magnus for the past year and it's a great systems..Let us now how you get on the with counter flow chiller in future vids
Yes Graham. Good luck matey. Have you thought about lifting the grain basket. Not kidding, we did 46 litres of oatmeal stout a couple of nights ago. About 12 kg of grain equals nearly 20kg of basket weight. We've rigged up a block and tackle pully system and it's still tricky. I hope you love the system and we're looking forward to your first brew on it. 🍻
Cheers lads yes I have actually. I have a pulley system that I can use but I think I will manage for now as going to do standard brew to start just to get used to the system then work my way up . Looking forward to seen the oatmeal stout on nitro ? . I got my 1000 subscriber todays as well so happy out 😎 . How are you finding your new system ? Looking forward to not have to re-circulate, by hand 😂 . Cheers 🍻
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 the recirculating pump is great and you get a much more consistent brew temp. Massive congrates on you 1000 sub milestone, this you tube game is a slow burn for us! Don't know about you but we are no where near the 4000 watch hours in a year - that's definitely our next target. Looking forward to your brew day in the big boy!
@TheGingerBrewers it’s only 3000 hours lads not to far away actually . I will give you guy another shout out might get some subs that’s watch me . Doing a brew as we speak on the new system
On a different note. Just used your quick carbonation method using beergas on a guiness clone. Managed to carbonate it in inder an hour with 70:30. Saves so much time. Cheers
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 Graham what pressure do you serve your stout at in psi. And what do you gas it up at. I used 36 to gas it up and 30 serving but it could probably do with a bit more. I’m also still using my 6ft 3/16 beer line like I did for CO2. Is that right. Sorry for all the questions but you seem to have got it sussed. Cheers.
Look forward to its use. They are well priced. I have a g30 and am looking for a bigger system for the reason you mentioned. I usually do a double batch but it takes around 10 hours. One thing I like about the g30 counterflow chiller. I wonder if you take the handle off the glass top whether the g30 counterflow chiller would fit it. Great vid. Again.
@@mikebeswick3420 you are right I had to buy some Silicone tube to connect to the pipe that will pump threw the counter flow chiller and in theory should be cool down to go straight from the chiller into fermenter ready for pitching 😎
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 just thinking though. If it sticks in some way. You could empty it from the bottom tap. I suppose. If you had the system raised. Looks good.
Hi Graham. I’ve just renewed my stout tap. Below the handle which unscrew is a nut that can move up and down the thread. I’m not sure what this is for. It seems that the closer to the base the harder it is to pull the handle. Is this it. Cheers
@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 hi not sure how to pics on here. I rang malt miller and the guy said it’s to stop the tap when you’re not using it. So you tighten the nut down and you won’t be able to use it. But I tried that and it still works. The tap works a dream. Drinking my guiness clone after only one hour of kegging using your quick carbonation method with beergas.
