Kind of a baffling product to me. It does look smart on the wall, but loses all temp control there, and with no handles it has no way to move it from ferm chamber to wall when finished and ready to move product around. I don't see it solving any problems that fermenting in a corny keg with a kegland blowtie spunding valve and a floating diptube doesn't already solve for a LOT less money.

At present, if you want to put in a fridge you will have to consider the bottom of the FV, if thats important to you. There might be solutions with tall lager style fridges but we've not looked into it.

Another beautiful and well-made gear by Brewtools, well done! The only downside for me is, it doesn't have handles and temperature control. It will be really hard to lift once is full and to move around. I will definitely get the pressure kit to use on my Kegmenter. 👊
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 Год назад
Hi, thanks for your input. I have a 23 litre fresh wort kit tin a 30 litre MiniUni that I have just dry hopped. I poured the wort in with the tank in its stand on the floor then picked the whole tank up and hooked it on the wall bracket, exactly as you see in the video. It was heavy but, the wall bracket catches really easily so it was very manageable. Obviously that is not going to happen with 50 litres but for brewing that quantity you will have pumps anyway. We have mounted ours quite high on the wall for the sake of the video, however, now that I am using it slightly lower would have been easier in use.

More then twice the price of kegmenter's own pressure kit, not sure if it's worth it imo. Cool with the built in pressure gauge and stuff but i prefer solid ss instead of a plastic cap for more then double the price. I feel you tho, I'm going to buy it for sure but I know it's not worth it at all lol :)
@icequake3
@icequake3 Год назад
Have to agree,no handles-how on earth can you lift a 20,30,40 or 50 litre full one with no handles,major design oversight,and then hang a full 50 litre one on a wall?🤔 My Ss brewbucket with 23 litres in it is an awkward heavy lift with handles on it. Do not want to appear negative but way overpriced as usual for Brewtools gear. My Ss Brewbuckets are far more adaptable with a heat cool option,if you add up Brewtools extras you can buy an Ss chronical fermenter with a heat/cool option for what these cost.
@DrunkPlanetcraftbeer
@DrunkPlanetcraftbeer Год назад
@icequake3 BT is already working on several accessories for MiniUni that includes handles, temperature control, legs and many more. They said the 40l and 50l should be filled with a pump instead of lifting and moving around. I agree, it will be crazy heavy and not safe to move 40l and 50l of wort, the tank and accessories weight. You cannot compare the price to anything else in the market at the moment. You can not put quality and cheap prices in the same service or products, it doesn't work. I do agree the products should be well thought out before the launch day and hanging 40l or 50l+ on the wall is still very risky, I wouldn't, and most of the walls are made of MDF, plywood and plasterboards nowadays. And, even if you have a brick or concrete wall, you will need some serious screws and heavy-duty wall plugs 😬

With the presure kit, this looks like a great upgrade from my AllRounder for 2 main reasons. 1. Much better foot/base, 2 being made of stainless steel.....and then some more features I'm currently not missing ...but who knows. Using a ispindel and a fermentation chamber as I do now, I would not need further accessories to make a now brain switch. Great video guys
@MikeN1990
@MikeN1990 Год назад
Looks great but what about easy dry hopping? Unless they release a pressure ferment tc lid for the top that also has a tc port for dry hopping, what is the point. Sure you could dry hop from the bottom, but that’s a poor solution. Changing lids lid fermentation is a poor solution as well. Basically need to release something like the hop bong for the fermzilla. It should have had offset 4in tc and 2in tc ports on the top. Obviously you can use tees and other fittings to get something to work, but that’s quite an expensive solution.

It would be great to be able to get rid of the fridge in the garage and have this mounted on the wall and be able to do everything I can currently do.
