Holy shit I've played this song 10 times this morning already and it's only 7am. Perfect tune for a cold morning. Brian is a lyrical wizard casting out the feels.

This is a dumb thing for me to bring up and I'll probably get "attention seeker" comments or whatever but about a month and a half ago I attempted to kill myself and ended up checked in to a mental health hospital. My dad picked me up after I was checked out. The day before he'd been so upset but all he did was hug me and tell me he loved me and how much I meant to him. I grew up listening to gaslight with my dad and it was the first thing I really bonded with him on. We were sad when they broke up - we saw him on his last tour before it happened, it was my first concert. So many hours have been passed by between us talking about Brian's music and what it means to us. When a new brian Fallon song comes out, he would always wait to listen to it with me - even now as an adult. I cant help but wonder if I had gone through with it all the way how he'd feel listening to this. It makes me glad I didnt do it. It makes me glad to be alive. I love my dad so much.

Our heart was stolen away at the beginning of time. My twin found me, we found ourselves, finally. God is a funny jokester. I'm so grateful he let us know. The fun begins and my oh my, is it complicated, yet so simple. 💞 My One True Heart ❤

I know it sounds like such hyperbole and fanboy exaggeration, but I truly believe Brian Fallon is incapable of writing a bad song.

The girl in the video looks a bit like Hope Sandoval for me. Besides that, what a truly remarkable song! I thought his first solo record was superb, the second a solid follow up, but this new one (if the singles are anything to go by) is going to take some beating... Cannot wait!! Brian, you are a gem, thank you for your creativity and art.
