Totally miss his skating. Once Brian retired I stopped going to shows. See him skate live so many times. Saw his tribute to his mom after she passed and dont know how he got thru it without a tear. I didnt.

Never saw this. Orser was robbed. Technically so far ahead of Hamilton. Should have won no matter what Hamilton got on presentation. A Sarah Hughes situation.

Not really, it was a question of compulsory figures. Brian was 5th coming in and could not have reached the gold medal unless Scott placed 9th. Scott deserved probably fourth in the LP after Orser, Boitano, and Sabovcik

@@metsdudenj Orser was 7th in compulsories, after sompuls+short he has 4.6, Hamilton 1.4. Need a different in 5 places in free skating

He deserved to win here, but was clearly beaten in 1988. Boitano's performance there was the best of all time in Men's skating for 1988, and still one of the best ever.

@@Zuranthium I certainly agree he should have won the gold medal here. Boitano in 88 had a flawless skate, but he was too robotic for my liking. No emotion to connect with.

@@liemdang298 Because Scott Hamilton could make pretty pictures in the ice while Brian was trying to push men's skating forward. School figures were silly from the start. I understand that it's how the sport got it's name, but it doesn't make it any less of a waste.
