@@davorfsunjich5209 he can, levan is overrated. Put someone actually athletic and with strength feats to train at the same size and weight of Levan and watch him be destroyed.
@@venomshot2815 Yep its going to take a lot of time, and most importantly: dedication and patience. I hope Brian takes it seriously and sticks with it.
Having Brian Shaw training and competing in armwrestling would be awesome. The only questions are would he enjoy competing in armwrestling, and is it something he would want to pursue. I'm sure Devon will explain it to him in detail, but it'll take years of dedicated training and plenty of competition before he'd be able to compete at the top. There are unfortunately no shortcuts, not even for a WSM.
exactly. People are delusional thinking it's only about overall strength. Shaw can bench 400kg, deadlift 500 and have the strongest grip in the world and still Levan will peel his wrist like an onion. For sure Brian has very strong wrist, but if Derek can open it very slowly it's not naturally inhuman. I'd guess Brian will take some lessons and train until first noteable match where he gets crushed and stops his career.
if Brian becomes a thing in armwrestling it will be many years from now, I doubt he'll be willing to put in the time, unless he finds some big sponsors
He's already 42 - if he's gonna do it, he has to do it now. He might need 1-3 years to get in to the sport fully then he might have 3-6years of top level performance. Then after age 50 it will start going downhill
At certain top strength levels it's not then about the strength but about the technique AND the strength...and also about the tendons, which is about the time at it. So, I say Levan takes care of Brian Shaw because Levon is very, very strong but, again, it's not just about how much stronger he is at that level. Brian needs years to compete at that level successfully. But, Devon fans are just dying to see Levan lose. It will be a very, very long wait. And, btw, that includes Kurdecha, for sure. Levan will handle him too.
Arm wrestling isn't about normal strength. I don't see Brian reaching anything good in this sport until 3-5 years full commitment. Top10 is out of question since he is 42y old wihtout arm wrestling background or strength training to arm wrestling movements. He may learn enough to have good show matches in his events, but that all. We gotta remember that 5 years is a long time and more people who are build to arm wrestler will show up aswell. Young and skilled
Brian is one of the strongest men on the planet. But he's literally got zero chance against Levan. Levan has years of experience and technique behind him. It'll take Brian atleast 5 years to get some semblance of armwrestling ability behind him. By that time, Levan will probably be retired.
it doesn't take 5 years to learn to arm-wrestle. It's not rocket science and the techniques are widely known. He has people who can show him all of it. You can get a real college degree in 4 years.. Be real .
@@paulcox2447 It's not about the learning. It's about building the strength in the specific areas required. It takes years. If you arm wrestled you would know that.
Brian is not going to take armwrestling as serious as he took his strongman career, or as serious as the likes of Levan He is already a very successful family man with a great history of sporting achievements. He has an extremely successful youtube channel and is a promoter of a huge strongman contest Sure he's an ultra competitive guy and may gave it a go. But i doubt he takes this sport too serious I would love to be wrong, but to be the best you need to be single minded. As popular as Devon is, he still makes everything about armwrestling and builds his life around it, like Shaw did at strongman Will shaw offer the same commitment as a rich guy in his 40s?? I seriously doubt it, but would love to be proved wrong. Hopefully he at least pulls at one of these big events
I think Levan got him beat. I saw am episode where Brian was having a tough time doing pull-ups but Levan was easily pulling his body weight. I think Levan wouldn't have a problem with Brian. 😮
If Brian commits to real training and gets table time and doesn't do the same mistake Devon did in stop working out everything except your right arm, Brian would something definitely to watch! If Brian becomes an arm wrestler in order to keep size and strength advantage he should continue working out he does already. Don't cut but add arm wrestling training to his regiment....yikes ,that would be scary!!!
@@Williamxmr they will never pull. Brian will maybe win someone outside top10 in 5 years, IF he goes all in. Overall strength alone does nothing. See what happened to larry wheels who was world strongest powerlifter/strongermen for his size. Couldn't beat anyone
Brian is just like smaiev. Super strong cup and back, but in table his wrist will be peeled. Shaw is like 45y old so he is like a tree trunk. There is no way he will ever reach elite level anymore. If he started when he was 15... oh boy
Dude I’m only saying this as a supporter of the channel. Ya gotta stop trying so hard with your voice man, it gives uncomfortable vibes and makes me want to click off when I hear it. Your normal voice is just fine my guy❤️
Brian is most likely lacking every strength needed for world level arm wrestling... It's crazy how people don't understand that normal strength has nothing to do with specific arm wrestling strength. You can bench 500kg or lift 150kg rolling thunder and Levan will still hold you and laugh
Stronger in where? are we talking about overall or wrist/pronation/supination/side pressure/rise because Levan is 100% stronger in those areas and only ones that matter
@rakibulislamrafsan5778 Devon just wants Brian Shaw to arm wrestle, that's it. He never said he's going to train him to beat Levan. If Devon wants to train someone capable it should be Alex....
I hope you understand that brian was a strongman and has undoubtedly more raw strength compared to levan. But the real question is... Is he specifically on the same level as levan in armwrestling strength.
@@cmon9505 no, Brian arm wrestling strength isn't most likely even close to what it needs to be. And how it even could be? You need to train those movements for years because you don't get them from anywhere else
