Bridal lace applique being handstitched onto a bespoke wedding dress.
This is a champagne satin couture gown which I made for a bride. At her final fitting, we decided there needed to be just one more applique piece added... so I stitched it on and the dress was finished.

When I appliqued the wedding gown I made, I sewn them on using my sewing machine instead of by hand.

You could try using a combination stitch Use running stitch but for every 2 running stitches add any type of securing stitch such as a lock stitch or back stitch

Hi Claudia, I didn't in this case, as the fabric was so soft, but sometimes I do, using invisible thread, which is almost impossible to thread the sewing machine needle with, but worth the troublwe! Thanks for watching and have a good day, x
