I was like BRUHHH... I was never that much of a picky bride and only went to one wedding dress shop, but I at least got an hour to decide :D (The dress was perfect tho, after some slight alterations on the shoulders)

It should be just the bride's decision. Sadly weddings are often full of messy family politics. Brides seem to want their mother's approval for emotional validation or sometimes it's a money thing. I paid for my own wedding dress out of pocket and all the bridesmaids dresses so that I could have the final say. But my wedding certainly spiraled out of control with other details because of the family politics and money. I had a friend whose engagement was broken off because she went dress shopping when the mother of the groom was unavailable. Which isn't how it would be if everyone in the world was rational and communicative!

It’s a reality show. Wouldn’t make any money without the drama. They get paid for this.

That's not how this works. She's only trying on a sample dress. She will have her measurements taken, and then the dress maker will make a dress to roughly fit her measurements, and then she will need a fitting or two at the salon before the dress will be her size. Either the dress manufacturer or the salon will make the dress to her length so that she isn't holding it up at her wedding. The salon also asks the brides trying on dresses to hold the fronts up to help prevent damage to their sample dresses.
