It is Not about the dress. It’s about having your friends stand up for you and support you and your marriage. This bride is way too intense. Your wedding isn’t the royal wedding ffs.

Unless the bride is paying the difference for the girls then she cannot do that. 2) 500$ for a bridesmaid dress is RIDICULOUS, my mother got bridesmaids dressed for less than 100$, granted that is incredibly cheap because they were on sale, but they were originally 150$. 3) Agreeing to a wedding is basically mandatory if you would like to keep the friendship, because if you say no and you dont have a ‘good’ reason youre being a bad friend. So the least a bride can do is be reasonable with dress prices.

Out of six different weddings in which I've been a bridesmaid, the ONE time it was a smooth process was when my BFF said she picked a specific designer. Said she wanted our bridesmaid dresses to be Black and Floor Length. And must be bought from the same store chain because the color "Black" (just like people) comes in different shades depending where you go. She sent us a catalog and we picked out what we wanted in that color, from that designer, at that length and at that store (David's Bridal). As a result of her not being a jackass, it was the ONE time I actually enjoyed the process. And because we chose the best style for ourselves, everyone was beautiful and the pictures were FIRE!!!!! All the other weddings sucked and two of the brides I don't speak to anymore because they were just like the 🤬 chick in this video (Tinnell).

I agree with the idea that they did agree with being in the wedding and knew it would come with having to pay for a dress…HOWEVER I would never make my bridesmaids pay almost $500 or more for a dress. I chose the dress for my girls and they paid only $90. I knew my girls and I knew each of their situations. It’s called being a friend.

Some people may not have any extra cash to blow on a dress that’s going to be worn for one day, and never again! Also the bride just said “if you can’t get the dress, just be a guest”!! If I was her friend I’d walk out and never speak to her again. She clearly doesn’t give a single fuck about any one of her “friends” that she doesn’t even deserves any!

I let my bridesmaids pick their dresses that fit to their personality and body type. The color was the only thing they had to match. I wanted them to feel comfortable at my husband and I's wedding.

Is this something common in the USA?! Dang. I live in Brazil and even here, in this beautiful underdeveloped country, the bride pays for the dresses for her bridesmaids.
