I don't understand, you guys love Edwina but you want her to spend the rest of her life with someone who barely likes her and is in love with her sister???? I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

The whole point of Anthony deciding to marry Edwina is not only because she is the perfect bride but especially because he KNOWS he will NEVER fall in love with her. Seeing you guys wanting the wedding to happen and saying Kate needs to go away so Anthony and Edwina can be happy together is insane lol.

Kate asks Anthony not to blame Edwina for her mistake. Anthony responds by telling her he is hot for her, but somehow Kate is the one violating sister code? How? Why is he not to blame when he is the one making moves on Kate?

Why you blame everything on Kate? Anthony is as guilty as her, but you never say anything about him. If you cared about Edwina, you wouldn't support this engagement, because she wants a love match and Anthony won't provide one for her, besides the fact that he's in love with her sister. He shouldn't have proposed in the first place, it was a bad idea and the reason they're in this mess is because Anthony kept courting her and proposed to her while being interested in Kate. The only thing Kate is guilty of is not telling her sister about the family thing and later not telling about her feelings, she was right in getting in between Anthony and Edwina in the beginning, because she *knew* Edwina wanted a love match and she *knew* Anthony wouldn't give her one. Edwina was fooling herself because she is infatuated with the *idea* of Anthony, the viscount, she doesn't really know him and it's shown multiple times like through conversations with Daphne. She "loves" the Viscount, she doesn't "love" Anthony. She should've listened to Kate, when she tried to protect her from getting into this mess, even if she's her own person that can make her own decisions, everyone needs help from time to time and Kate was trying to help her. Yes, the family needed the money and that's the whole reason it's crucial for Edwina to wed a noble English man, but even though it was necessary, Kate did everything she could so Edwina would end up with someone she truly loves and loves her back, and that's not Anthony. Besides that, the whole point of this season is to show Anthony and Kate's love story, not Anthony and Edwina's as there's is no love between them. If you watch wanting Anthony and Edwina to be together of course you won't enjoy it, it isn't about them. Bridgerton isn't about convenience matches, it's about love stories. If you root for Edwina and Anthony just because it's "proper" then you're destined to be disappointed as the story isn't about being "proper", Edwina isn't a protagonist, she's not and never were the love interest and would never end up with Anthony in any way. Her happiness isn't with Anthony, rooting for them to be together is nonsensical even by that narrative, they don't love each other and Anthony would never love her over Kate, he says it himself, even if Kate were to go back to India far away from them, it wouldn't be far enough, and him and Edwina would both be miserable together for the rest of their lives. Kate and Anthony can't control how they feel, they never did anything actually improper together while he was courting and engaged to Edwina, and that's the fun of this season, the yearning of the *almost touch* and prohibited want, the slow burn of stolen stares, stolen moments. Of course you're entitled to not feel comfortable with the situation being as the thing separating them is the sister, I think what bugs people about your reaction isn't really that, but the blaming the whole situation on Kate and the rooting for Edwina and Anthony to be/end up together, since you can blame her while also acknowledging the other parts to blame, like Anthony and even Edwina a little bit, and not like the situation while also not root for it to get worse or for the unhappiness of all parts involved.

Anthony told her from the beginning that he couldn’t ever give her the love match she wanted but she’s developed some fairytale love story in her mind because a love match is what she want. I think you guys are not watching this from Kate's point of view. She wants her sister to marry for love and she's completely aware that Anthony doesn't want that. It would never work between Anthony and Edwina, whether Kate is there or not. Edwina deserves better than Anthony. It's true that Kate was obligated to absent herself when she figured out her feelings for Anthony. I question if his moral aptitude would be strong enough to then admit that he couldn't marry Edwina because of his feelings for Kate, though. I get the sense that he would just marry Edwina and moodily/lustily stare at Kate at every visit she made to them. Mary and edwina relied on kate since their father died and she took over her father's place when she was only 18 yrs old. She sacrifice her youth to give better future to edwina. The relationship was never going to work even if Anthony was not in love with kate. But Edwina never listened her. 35:50 In their eyes "best" for edwina is to marry a person who will never love her and he'll only be intimate with her for childbearing, Anthony will always be pining for kate while being married to edwina. I think the sister love triangle was problematic, but while Edwina is naive, I don't think she plays as innocent a role as it seems. She wanted a marriage of love, and enjoyed being the "diamond" but intentionally disregarded the warnings that Anthony is not looking for a love match. Plus there were so many signs of their incompatability but she ignored them for whatever reason, his status, charm? Even if Kate wasn't in the picture, I don't think Edwina and Anthony wouldn't have worked in the end.

Let’s not do the stealing her sister’s man narrative. 1)From the very beginning Kate has tried to warn Edwina that the match would not be good for as she seeks love and Anthony does not. She insisted she’s grown now and can make her own decisions so anything that happens thereafter is on her. I mean she was perfectly comfortable listening before so what changed. Also as the youngest child one can be spoiled and entitled and in this case Edwina chooses to ignore all the signs because she wants what she wants as always. She’s accustomed to having her way because Kate and Lady Sheffield always give it to her. It is time for her rude awakening and that you can’t always have the things you want and when you want it. 2) Kate’s biggest and only mistakes are her not being honest about her feelings once she realized and not telling her sister and mother about the conditions set out by the grandparents. She should have told Edwina and allowed her to understand what it is like to shoulder responsibility instead of having her naive. Her problem is that she was forced to grow up too quickly and just can’t seem to put herself first. 3)Anthony is in fact to blame for everything as much as I like his character. He should have been honest with Edwina from the get go and admit that he was not in fact looking for love as her sister has truthfully overheard. Instead he tried to convince her otherwise and still persue,in all honesty, subconsciously to get a reaction out of Kate. I mean his family did not even support what he was doing when it came to both. All the heartbreak could’ve easily been avoided had he told the truth instead of focusing only on duty.

Its interesting to see your commentaries, they are surely very different than the others. I think going forward it is important to remember that other than their dishonesties, the driving factor that caused all of this is because of anthony's fear towards love. To be honest, if anyone should be blamed it would be anthony for going for edwina even after everything. Then again that is redempted by us getting the full story of what happened to his father and how it crushed violet, which does not justify what he did, but surely make us understand his view more. Meanwhile for kate, shes just a girl in love who does not want to dissapoint her mother and sister really, especially as they are all she has left. I am certainly someone who was critical of many of Kate’s choices and I really hate the way this is framed as a love triangle, but it’s very strange seeing you reserve all the criticism for Kate and nine for Anthony. He chose to put Edwina in this position. He chose to propose to her because he Is still being selfish due to his trauma and being afraid of love, so he’s proposed to someone he knows he doesn’t love. That’s awful even though we know why he’s doing it, Kate didn’t set out to hurt her sister. She didn’t want to like him. Should she have come clean, yes, but her sister has been telling her how much she wants the match, so she’s hoping this will make her sister happy. Kate & Anthony are the same. Both had to raise a family after a parent died due to the other falling apart and have put that family duty first. Criticism of Kate is valid, but you really can’t aim it all at her, when Anthony is the one who has caused the biggest problem.

Penelope has disapproved of Eloise's seeing Theo when she's mentioned him. Yes, it is about Whistledown, but Eloise doesn't know that. If she wants to see him, she will avoid telling Penelope. I'm glad you like Eloise and Theo, though! One of my favorite things this season.

I don’t think Anthony is as flawless and honourable as it’s seem be your opinion by the comments that have been made, he is being deceitful and constantly the one who aggravates things the most. I love the drama of the show and this season it’s all about reasons vs emotions, Anthony and Kate are clearly struggling since they are in a unique situation and they both are already too deep in the rabid hole, but that’s what makes it so enjoyable, trying to understand everyone’s perspectives it’s what I love the most about this show.

Yeah you guys are right about the color of the dresses having meaning. If I recall correctly they've had meaning steeped in them from the first season. But most people started catching on to it in season 2. There's a couple of people who have delved into the topic of the clothing and the meaning that they hypothesize the show is trying to portray through the clothes colours here on youtube. It's a really interesting topic. And it's a detail that's purely a show invention... I'm pretty sure the books do not pay THAT much attention on clothing colours. But they show sure does. The story of the clothing and the story of the characters playing out in front of us are parallels.

Anthony never intended as he stated to have a love match, it's simply for business. Kate was trying to protect Edwina because of how she saw he didn't want to be in a loving marriage and she knew Edwina wanted one which he would never be able to give her. I get you might be annoyed with Kate but both her and Anthony had feelings for one another the whole time and were constantly around one another so for you to only blame Kate when they're both at fault is something else. Hey, I have a movie recommendation for you two. _The Age of Innocence_ with Daniel Day-Lewis. It is so interesting to see a reactor root against the main couple ending up together. I think the Featheringtons' colors are whatever clash the most. Violet is Viscountess Bridgerton, called Lady Bridgerton. I don't know whether this is of interest, but Lady Mary, although (previously) married, takes her courtesy title from her father so it's Lady FirstName. Violet and Lady Danbury take their titles from their (late) husbands, so they are Lady LastName. Anthony shows up at Lady Danbury's house, where Kate lives. "She's seeking him out." I really liked your reactions and I respect different opinions, but if the comments you're making about Kate aren't misogyny, I don't know what is. When Anthony clearly doesn't have any feelings for the woman he's marrying, it's okay, when he considered a woman as an object saying that she basically didn't even need to have a brain, I saw you even laughing, but if Kate opens her mouth to go against it, she’s annoying?
