These tires are AMAZING!. They came stock on my GSX-R 1000R and I'm never going back to the Metzlers. These are incredibly sticky and stable on the road. They're perfect for dryer climates. Not a great wet tire. Highly recommend.
Great tires for agressive track days. They stick like crazy glue, they are stable under hard braking, and you can ride with confidence. They warm up fast, and you have to punish them in order to make the front or rear slide on the track or the street. The only complaint I've heard is from riders following me on the street, who tell me that my rs10r's pick up twigs, gravel, and road debris, and then flings it back at them. I'll buy them again for certain.
Compared to my old Dunlop Q3+ the RS10 warms up slow, it take awhile till they feel sticky on the track or road. They had a couple slips after 20 mins of riding, front and rear. But after “AWHILE” when they are warmed up they give you the confidence you need. Just warm them up first tho. Give it 30 mins of constant stop and go, seriously. 😂
Hello, interesting insights. Yeah all tires take some time to warm up and the time may vary depending on tire construction. Thanks for the feedback. Ride safe.
good video. thumbs up!! there a way to find out what the ideal temp is for best tire performance and traction, for best grip? I'm very aggressive street only rider and avoid the rain and wet conditions, and IF ever actually did get caught in rain, as I once had to goa distance to get my bike home as I'm riding, and hurricane started huge rainstorms. So windy my bike was rolling straight as it was also leaning at about an 80 degree lean, VERY windy and as a crosswind. .?
"super aggressive tire" so how much more than battlax S22 and Michelin pilot Power 2's & 2CT's? How much temperature these need to reach for optimum performance and grip? I'm on the fence, hard.
Just got a set for the track. Dirt cheap compared to higher end racing tires and even the undisputed q4s. Curious how these will do in comparison to my q3+ and s21 and s22s that I’ve ran.
Thank you for your inquiry. The differences between all of the RS10 tires with letter suffix's would be the OEM model for which they were made. For example: RS10 G spec rear tires are O.E.M replacement tires for: Yamaha R1 2015 *** RS10 L spec rear tires are O.E.M replacement tires for: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2016 *** RS10 M spec rear tires are O.E.M replacement tires for: Honda RC213V-S 2016 *** - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
That's a tough one!! Both are a high performance tire for canyons and track but I have to give it to the RS10. They have a little better cornering and would do a little better in colder wet conditions based on the amount and type of silica they use.
1:00 exactly. I just wish I knew how/where I could ride these tires and gain leaning /cornering confidence bc I don't have much faith in ANY tires coming out from under me. Any suggestions, besides going to a track i can't afford it even any clue enough to me? I imagine the small side grooves would offer more bite too?
Thank you for your comment Mikeyb. Not knowing where you are located, we have guys who have practiced in undeveloped housing developments or even freeway on / off ramps. Here in CA we have racetrack like on and off ramps that can be strung together one after another. Good luck in your search for a good place to learn confidence in your tires. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
The letters specify certain O.E.M replacements. For instance, the L is for an O.E replacement for a 2016 ZX-10R. They just have a little difference in construction but all of the features are the same. Compounds used, tread design etc. What type of bike will these be going on?
Yesss that’s my complaint as well. They take forevers to warm up, sheeessshhhhh. Lol maybe 3 laps till they warm up. It’s annoying, also at 2nd lap it still slips. It’s so annoying, I just want to put a heat gun to it to warm up.

I run 32f/38r mainly because there are alot of twisties where i live. If i plan on doing a 100+ mile trip i run 34f/40r. I plan on going back to the s21 after this set is done. I ran them before no complaints.
