It's funny that this needs to be said over and over again. Of course anyone can play FGs, people who play them are not some rare breed of human, we are just gamers. It just takes a little time is all. And you will lose a bunch while learning. That is the only requirement, ability to take a loss without quitting.

It's pretty clutch, you have to represent it too because then the enemy has to watch for it. If you use it to get a killing blow to counter their AA, they will think twice about AAing you and then you can hit them with the air to ground grab, because that shit is silly.

BRC = slowdown = better mix opportunity. Also baits YRC. But doesnt create initial mix

Input is 236K -> 632146P~S You just have to press P and S at the same time, or P slightly earlier than S. The goal is to cancel the P followup of 236K into the super. I think you can also do 236K > 632146K~S but don't quote me on that, plus if you miss the kara doing the K followup you'll eat a big punish.

Bridget's 2k is actually worse than other DLC 2k's and worse than some base roster ones. She doesn't low-profile a lot of stuff and the low total duration actually means you can't use it to low profile the things it does low-profile, at least not consistently. It's spammable yeah but it doesn't have a lot of range and it's a pretty unsafe place for bridget to be in general.

In a blog post, Daisuke confirmed both that Bridget canonically self-identifies as a woman after the story and that there are no such things as "bad endings" in Strive. I can't link it on youtube but it's literally on the guilty gear website as a news post, it's post-1657. I guess you can look for it yourself. So, hopefully, the discourse is finally over... (ah, who am i kidding?) "It's just a western localization thing! It doesn't say the same thing in the Japanese version!" This one is quite easy as it's just plain misinformation. Anyone can just check the cutscene for themselves. She says " 女の子ですから " which means "because I’m a girl".In both dubs, you can even hear how happy and secure she is while saying this. There is absolutely no irony nor any sign of "resignation" in her voice. She isn't "giving up" to being called a girl by Goldlewis... Heck, she actually decides to say this RIGHT when he asks if she'd like to be called cowboy. So what better moment to accept that if she wasn't sure? "It's just a bad ending" "Bad"? There are no bad endings in Arcade mode. It's just a neutral ending at worst, as it's not a flawless run. But even then, even the flawless ending sends the same message, just a more subtext-y one. And even if no ending had any clear answer at all, the game itself refers to Bridget with "she/her", like in the bios, so you have your dear "canon" answer right there, even before choosing Arcade. "But it is a bad ending! It even says Game Over!" Yep. It says "Game Over". Just like any other ending. Even with the flawless run. Did you even play the game or are you just here to make other people feel hurt? "The devs have given in to western woke propaganda!" Yeah, no. Daisuke's doing this of his own free will. He has been very open about his progressiveness for many years now, and if Testament and Bridget's in-game pronouns weren't enough, he even signed a Bridget sketch of his with "trans rights" added, less than three years ago. He even made sure to ask his translator, so he knew well the meaning behind it. So, since you guys are always the ones talking about respecting the original products, how about you respect the author's will? Or is this luxury allowed only with things that you like? "It's a retcon!/So Bridget gave in to his village pressure?" This one has been said a lot by both transphobes and people that are actually in good faith.Thing is, this character development isn't really incoherent with her previous lore.When Bridget got out of the village, she chose to reject her upbringing and set out to be a man. This doesn't mean that along the way, after living both identities, she couldn't understand that she feels more like herself by being a girl. After all, six in-universe years have passed between XX and Strive. It's a lot of time. The only difference is that this time it was her own choices of gender identity, not something that an outsider forced upon her. Think of it like your parents were forcing you to have a specific haircut, and you hated it. But growing up and becoming independent, you try many different things and you end up liking it and keeping it. It's just... fine.Also, something to remember is that most people are raised their assigned gender at birth and for cis people that just so happens to work out, but no one questions that. What matters is that in the end Bridget made the choice for herself, whatever that choice is. And to be totally fair, it's not like Strive's Bridget erases XX's Bridget. You can still like/prefer and use the old Bridget as a comfort character, just some people do with kid Goku instead of Goku (just as an example). And as a trans girl, “the town inside me” hits a little _too_ close to home for it to not be about being trans. That’s not something I hear very often in songs, I’m not just projecting that onto the lyrics. It’s just very, very specific about “I need to reveal this part of myself but it’s so so much easier in the short run to avoid it and stay in denial since I’ve constructed this manly persona and it feels like a huge risk for me to break that”.
