At 2:50 fox-girl (her name is Ahri) used her charm ability to lure enemies away from her friend, so they wouldn't kill her. This cinematic is a representation of League gameplay (5v5 team game), the lore here is nonexistent. They started to make lore-driven cinematics only in recents years. Some of them are more like music videos like "The Call", others have dialogues and all that staff like "Ryze: Call of Power". Also, there is a show, based on League of Legends, called "Arcane". Strongly recommend to check it out, one of the best animated series of all time.
You're definitely the first person I've seen react to this cinematic that picked up that Darius and Draven are brothers so good call out on that. A lot of the League cinematics for the past few years are more music style videos. There are a few with dialogue, like Ryze: Call of Power but even that is more of a narrated piece than dialogue. If you want dialogue my recommendations would be either the Tales of Runeterra playlist or Ionian Myth + Kin of the Stained blade. Both have dialogue, beautiful storytelling and give you a glimpse of the potential of Arcane.
There's not really any lore in this video; its actually a cinematic representation of what a game of League of Legends is - a 5v5 multiplayer battle featuring different champions all with unique abilities and roles. The thing about League is that, at its core, its always been a 5v5 multiplayer action game with a strong focus on eSports. It was released way back in 2009 and the lore was initially treated as incidental to the gameplay, generally only existing to give some justification as to why a character looked or sounded the way they did. It's only in the last few years, following a big retcon/cleanup of the lore, that Riot have sort of focused on telling cohesive stories with the characters. Arcane, the show on Netflix, was also another big step forward in telling a cohesive story in the setting. The other thing to consider is that world of Runeterra (the name of the planet/world all the characters inhabit) doesn't so much as have a linear storyline you follow through like in say Warcraft or Lord of the Rings, but rather that its a setting that is populated by a vast array of different locations, characters and stories that may or may not interact with each other. It's much more like the settings of Warhammer Fantasy/Warhammer 40k or the various Dungeons and Dragons campaign settings in that regard. It's also probably why the lore is starting to get cleaned up and more cohesive over the last few years, since Riot are in the early stages of creating an MMO set in the world which could make full use of the 'open ended' setting without being restricted by having to adhere to a set overall storyline. The actual lore of the setting is also not generally 'told' through the cinematics, but rather through the short stories and comics they release on the League Universe site - universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/. The cinematics tend to be more about evoking the themes of the characters featured in them, as well as featuring awesome visuals and amazing music, rather than any specific bit of lore. There are some exceptions though, notably with the "Ruination/Sentinels of Light" stuff which told a story through a mix of cinematics, an in-game visual novel, a separate turn-based RPG game ("Ruined King: A League of Legends Story") and an upcoming novel ("The Ruination"). "The Call" was another cinematic unique in that regard, since it had a number of short stories published on the Universe site which directly linked to what was happening in the cinematic. This is also without even touching on the various Alternate Universe settings, which take the characters and reinterpret them in a complete different settings. Two of the bigger AUs you might come across are "Star Guardian" (a take on the anime Magical Girl setting, ie Sailor Moon) and the 'Music Universe' where Riot Music have made actual legitimate bands (Pentakill, a heavy metal band, K/DA a K-POP girl group and True Damage, a hip-hop group) But back to A New Dawn, and the characters in this video - keep in mind the actual characters and what they're doing in this video have no real connection to any lore storylines. They just happen to be the 10 heroes that were 'selected' for this match. Still the actual characters themselves do have their own lore behind them. * Leona, The Radiant Dawn - you saw her in The Call :) * Ahri, The Nine-Tailed Fox - Ahri is a fox like Vastaya (a hybrid race of human/ancient animal-like people), who preys on the emotions of mortals she charms before consuming their soul. That might make her sound 'evil', but she's more of a reluctant predator who is trying to understand her origins and place in the world. She comes from Ionia, an archipelago that was the birthplace of magic in the world of Runeterra, and such its lands are literally alive with magic - Ionia is also basically the "East/South Asian mythology" setting. Ahri is one of the 'faces' of League of Legends, being heavily featured across all of League's promotional stuff. You'll see her in both the Star Guardian AU as well as part of the K/DA K-pop group. * Darius, The Hand of Noxus - hailing from Noxus, an imperialistic and war-mongering nation ever intent on expanding its borders (with a strong Ancient Roman Empire theme), Darius is a high-ranking general in charge of the elite Trifarian Legion. He exemplifies the Noxian Ideal of Strength through Might and is one of the most revered individuals in Noxus. * Draven, The Glorious Executioner - unlike his brother Darius, Draven is much more narcissistic and interested in personal glory. While a formidable warrior in his own right, he eschewed the responsibilities of command (leaving that to his brother) and was instead drawn to the gladiatorial pits where he pits himself against condemned prisoners given a chance to redeem themselves, relishing the adoration of the crowd as he inevitably proves triumphant. * Zyra, Rise of the Thorns - Zyra was born from a seedling in the jungles of Ixtal, given sentience during the terrible magical destruction of the Rune Wars. Zyra is essentially the wrath of Nature given form, spreading her seed across the lands and strangling out all mortal life who dare to oppose her. * Graves, The Outlaw - Operating out of the pirate haven of Bilgewater, Malcom Graves is wanted in every major city for his various criminal activities. Often found working alongside his on-again, off-again partner Twisted Fate, Graves can be hired for all sorts of illegal work though he does have his own sense of criminal honor, often enforced by the business end of his double-barrel shotgun. * Rengar, The Pridestalker - A ferocious lion like Vastaya from the jungles of Ixtal, Rengar lives for the thrill of tracking down and hunting dangerous prey. He has a long standing rivalry with a deadly Void creature called Kha'Zix, who scratched out his eye. * Jax, The Grandmaster at Arms - an elite warrior from the ancient Shuriman city of Icathia, Jax is one of the foremost weapon experts in all of Runeterra. Icathia was destroyed thousands of years ago by The Void, and Jax has sworn to destroy The Void in all its form to avenge his lost city. With his lifespan kept extended by the elemental fire he keeps on his brazier-staff - a magic that capable of destroying The Void with its mere touch - Jax wanders Runeterra searching (so far unsuccessfully) for warriors who can stand alongside him against the threat of The Void. * Katarina, The Sinister Blade - daughter to a legendary Noxian General, Katarina was raised from birth to become an Assassin of the highest order. Excelling at her training, though never quite earning the favour of her father, she pushes herself to earn glory for Noxus. * Nautilus, The Titan of the Depths - there are many tales of fantastic and mythological creatures in the waters around Bilgewater, one such being Nautilus. Said to be a diver long ago who was abandoned by his captain and possessed by some deep eldritch horror, Nautilus is said to have returned from from depths of the ocean to enforce The Tithe. Always carry a gold coin to donate to the depths when sailing out of Bilgewater, lest you find yourself being hooked by the massive anchor and dragged down to a watery death...

Just wanted to say, you got it, the "lion guy" is in fact based off of a lion! His name is Rengar, he's an apex predator type character, always looking to hunt the most dangerous of prey, and he's called "the pridestalker," cause he is in fact modeled off of a lion, his mane has been tied into dreads lol A good quote from him that shows off his character: "You have a warrior's heart...... I THINK I'LL TAKE IT!"
