Bringing Balinese Gamelan to K-12 Students and Educators in LA 

The UCLA Center for Southeast Asian Studies, in collaboration with the UCLA Center for the Art of Performance’s Design for Sharing Program, cosponsored a lecture demonstration on Balinese gamelan in April 2017 for a group of 80 music students and their teachers from Porter Middle School.
UCLA Center for Southeast Asian Studies is a designated National Resource Center for Southeast Asia committed to its mission of organizing workshops and outreach activities and materials for California’s K-12 schoolteachers. The Design for Sharing is the free K-12 arts education program run by UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance.
