BRINGING HOME OUR HUNGARIAN VIZSLA PUPPY - VILJA 

She is absolutely beautiful. I lost my V’s a few months ago. 15 years of unconditional love.

These dogs are without doubt the best in the world. Our second male is 6 years old and he is just the perfect companion.

Vizsla love to sleep inside human bed under the blanket. If you want to make her happy you can authorize her to sleep on your bed (not under the blanket but on top of it) during the night. If you choose to do that you will see she will always choose to sleep curled position near your feet, that's how Vizsla sleep : at the feet of their master. But she will always be in a different position when you wake up : for example sleeping on her back with her legs straight up crossed and her head turned toward her tail or something weird like that. She won't try to come under the blanket during your sleep if you said no from the beginning. Scientists have proven that sleeping with your dog increase the bond you have with him/her on the long term. Also try to remember to give her something to "hide" inside her own bed. Like a puffy blanket or something like that, Vizsla love to be able to cover themselves, they burry themselves under blankets because they like that (lot of dogs do as it gives them protection feeling and warmth) and here being a shorthaired dog in a cold area she may like it more. And be ready to see a lot of "weird" behaviours, for example you'll see that before going to bed at night your Vizsla will suddenly start running and spinning around the house at 300km/h ... that's normal. Or always "talking" (in Vizsa of course) thats normal too (an its actually funny because you can have real conversations). And when she will grow up if you notice destructive behaviour (for example eating your furnitures, eating your walls, eating your couch chairs etc etc.) then it means she is bored and need more exercice and more time with you. But it may never happen to you as you have lot of room for her to play and exercice :) Thanks for the video and i wish you the best. P.S : being owned by a Vizsla will change your life for ever. I'm so happy for you (even though I'm two years late). We have vizslas ourselves and they are a wonderful family dog! We're getting two puppies in a few weeks which is very exciting. Vizslas are the sweetest and are like velcro to your side. Wonderful dog breed to get!

Watched again to get my fix of Vilja as a puppy. Love the scene where you guys are home and introducing her. Puppy vizlas are so adorable. She's great a a grown up dog, but she melts my heart as she was when you first got her.💙

0-100 & 100-0 in 2 seconds is not true. 0.02 second maybe 😀 Mine felt asleep while chased a ball 😎

I heard but don't know if true, that the brown nosed Vizsla, like you have, has the best calm loving character. The black nose and white nose can be more aggressive and neurotic as puppies. Also heard from a Breeder, that to calm a puppy down to turn them on their back in your lap and hold them in a submissive pose until they stop squirming, this makes YOU the "Alpha" and they will obey better. TIP: Biting and chewing is because the puppy is teething, and teething is uncomfortable. If if you take a wet washcloth and roll it up like a bone and freeze it give it to the puppy to chew. the cold numbs the pain. Cold Carrots are good too. Crying puppy is separation anxiety best to have her crate next to your bed where she can see you. These are just general notes for new dog owners who might be reading. You have a beautiful girl. Buying this dog up north is buying husky down south.

She's exactly the same age as my Rhodesian Ridgeback. They are energy dogs too, it was tiring the first month at home. Now she's much more calm and attentive !
