@@sleepy.timaeus.arts. Pal. Since being stuck in the second dimension for millenia, Its a little nice to see some dimension for once. Just because I'm an interdimensional entity doesn't mean that I don't love some variation once in a while, y'know?
@@SoloTheStaticHater2810 Mind explaining the joke you thought was so hilarious that you absolutely HAD to comment it? Just so we won’t all be left in the dark about the meaning of your obviously clever and not at all low hanging fruit of a joke?
Same, I'm actually hoh so this helps me so much when my hearing aids aren't charged or I can't hear everything being said. Scott your art is amazing ❤️❤️
I am Hard of Hearing and I always appreciate it when content creators take the time to put closed captions, instead of relying on auto-generated captions!
@@Newjeans4EVA she bodyshamed and forced her employees to do sexual stuff like go to clubs and eat bananas out of dancers 🐱 i recommend watching a video essay abt it
I would also recommend getting Ohuhu’s skin tone marker set. It’s definitely not as bold and warm as using colors like oranges, yellows and pinks buts it’s a great option if you want to do portraits but don’t know how to get perfect skin tone colors yet.
@@brratz The 2 main things that she got canceled for were: - Insulting her backup dancer for being fat (but there are ppl that say that the accusations were false so idk.) - S*xual assault against her backup dancers And some other stuff too
I was really touched by how you embraced Lizzo's body with your brush strokes. Fatness is often shamed or ignored. It felt very loving to me, how every detail of her face is worthy of attention and being captured, including her chin, even though it goes against many (western) stereotypes of beauty. But she ís beauty.
The fact that Lizzo is in better shape than most of those who try to shame her is my favorite part. You can't put on an energetic show for as long as she does if you're not in shape. People don't want to acknowledge that fitness is a spectrum and looks different on different size/shape bodies. Scott, you've done a beautiful portrait of a beautiful person and I learned a lot from you today.
@@caidenniemi9445 The beauty standards of today haven't been agreed upon for thousands of years like you claim. For a long time, being fat was considered beautiful and desirable because it showed that the person was wealthy enough to eat well. Stop trying to push this false narrative that skinny is always has been the only desired body type.
@@caidenniemi9445 Well on the bright side, Lizzo is big, wealthy, healthy, beautiful, and 100x the person you’ll ever be! Stop shitting on people’s parades please 😊
i love how lovingly you rendered her chin folds. so often theyre either a source of derision against fat people or omitted entirely, but you showed how beautiful they are.
@ladylexi4480 Being fat is a bad thing for the person because it IS unhealthy. Some may say fat is beautiful, that's their opinion, fair enough, but the body positivity movement has strayed far, and it's mostly about spreading false information about being fat. It promotes an unhealthy life style and tries to tell people it's beautiful. 99.99999% of people who say fat is beautiful are lying. There are people who are really kind and beautiful on the inside, but they're fat. It's not healthy, but it shouldnt take away from their inner beauty and kindness. Body positivity should be about taking care of your body and being healthy and natural, trying to avoid insane beauty standards that are unhealthy and unnatural. There is nothing healthy about being fat. The movement has also swayed to bashing people who are naturally skinny or beautiful according to modern beauty standards. The movement itself attacks people who arent fat, shames people who point out the negative health effects of being fat, and it shames people who better themselves and their bodies with exercise and dieting.
@@i0wajester yes i know what happened and i hate lizzo for it , im just saying don't yell at someone for liking her 6 months ago when the lawsuit didn't exist
Tbh, I'd argue real life has its fair share of it too, just not to such a stylized extent. The combination of skintones, undertones and overtones make us really colourful indeed!
I always appreciate how diverse Scott's art is. It means that you can truly follow his tutorials, because he shows as many different kinds of people that he can
Could you please please please do Gwendoline Christie!! She has beautiful features which are perfect for the way you do art! She would be soooooo beautiful in your style! You should for sure give her a shot!
People are just flooding these comments with "this didnt age well" and all that. In my opinion, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter who or what you paint, but rather if you had fun. Keep this in mind, and have a great day! Your work is truly amazing!
I was just about to take my first stab at a gouache portrait and had no idea where to start. I thought, Scott would know what to do! Thank you for being so real and putting your art out there. I am off to experiment with skin tones!
It’s so weird to say this, but I just love that you gave her those folds of body fat. And how so boldly you went through and refined them. Amazing artwork!
I love how Scott isn’t afraid to go with dark skin tones, technically he didn’t even use and browns for the skin tone, yet, he still made her skin tone look black with oranges and reds and yellows and colors like that. It’s truly amazing!
C'est vraiment intéressant de voir la manière dont tu executes tes œuvres. Tu as vraiment un style artistique juste à toi et c'est ça qui les rends uniques. Super boulot 🥰
Hey Scott, I absolutely love you art, so I decided to reference you in my A level! Any chance you have any comments you could give me on composition or mix media, it might snag me some extra marks 😁
My skin tones always come out with a Simpsons feel. I use watercolor pencils mainly. This video made me feel better about my skin tones. It's one of my insecurity with my art. Love what you do my dude! You've quickly turned into one of my favorite artists. Thank you for your art.
This is very helpful because I've been struggling with adding dimension to my marker portraits. I always make the mistake of starting with too dark colors then try to lighten it up and it just doesn't work.
i love how you drew her chin!!! lizzo is the living, BREATHING fact and SO many other fat people that beauty COMES from how you view it DOESNT MATTER if youre over-overweight [like me], have chin folds, stomach rolls, the fat on your arms sag, thicc thighs maybe you even have freckles!! or stretch marks like me!! dont hide those you goof, society has declined so much, "true" beauty becomes harder and harder to achieve dont be beautiful for others, be beautiful for you!
You are literally my favorite artist at the moment. Yes we do different mediums but I don’t care your tips still help me think outside the box and I love that!!
